…If a kickass middle-aged bookkeeper got sucked into a spy’s life… troubles are over. But Kane’s investigation implicates her in a techno-espionage plot, and criminal charges become the least of her worries when she finds herself in the crosshairs of the same dangerous group Kane suspects her of aiding.
Armed with only her analytical mind, a warped sense of humour, and a penchant for profanity, Aydan faces off against international spies and an RCMP officer who’s not what he seems.
Pity her enemies. Because nobody’s tougher than a middle-aged woman who wants her dream back.

Thrillers with humour and heart
Contains coarse language, moderate violence, and sexuality. The story can stand alone but will be more enjoyable if the series is read in order.
“Fierce and fantastic – a totally different type of heroine who keeps you clinging to the edge of your seat!”
If Janet Evanovich’s quirky humour met Robert Ludlum’s taut thrillers, the Never Say Spy series would be their love child: racy, fun, and action-packed.

Could do without the “F” words, writer certainly has the imagination and vocabulary to work with
I discovered the first book and read all the available books of the series within a few weeks; I just couldn’t stop myself… They are that good!
I really enjoyed reading about an older female protagonist who gave as good as she got on many fronts – physical, mental, emotional. Can’t wait to read more of this series.
Weird and not believable. Even if you could swallow the premise, the lead character is such a hard sell – tough lady whose toughness defies belief, smart lady with no brains… Fiction is one thing, this book is way past that. Some funny dialogue redeems a little though.
Taut Thriller. Despite the blurb, I didn’t expect to read such an intense thriller. Plenty of humor gives a bit of relief to the tension. Aydan is a hoot. A middle-aged bookkeeper who lands in the middle of international espionage and a terrorist plot. As RCMP John Kane keeps asking, what agency is she with. She keeps repeating she’s a civilian. …
what now brown cow?? never answered but the hint is in last chapter so stay tuned.
I couldn’t finish this book because the virtual reality was confusing to me.
Good thriller and I appreciated having a middle aged woman as the protagonist . Funny and smart.
Welllllll, it’s a little farfetched. Where did this bookkeeper get these mad skills?Do I have to read further in the series? If there’s more info coming, we need a teaser in this first book.
The story was entertaining, I liked the characters, but the stretched believability makes me reluctant to read more in the series. But then again…
This was a freebie from Book Bub and I loved the science-fiction plot and the main character is such a loveable badass woman. I liked the book so much that I purchased the next book in the series and it didn’t miss a beat, but continued on with the story and weaved a new plot. I’m about half-way thru it and will probably buy the next book in the …
This was my first time reading this author. From bookkeeper to “terrorist” to “secret agent” and what a journey it was. The lead character was beyond badass. And on the romantic side she chose the unexpected in the first round. Looking forward to the next book to see what develops in the future.
Very good book . Kept me interested and wanting more. will be buying the next book. Also bout time a women is the hero of the story.
Would liked to have an ending
I enjoyed this story, and plan to read the rest of the series.
very good
Great read. Very good and enjoyable. Witty so the reader is pulled in to the story.
Page turner
Looking forward to see where these characters go from here.
Just ok. Plot hard to follow.
Fast paced
