I received an ARC of book. leaving my honest review. The characters worked so well together, getting to know them and their lives, as a cake decorator I felt so bad for Anabeth with her wedding issue disaster. I loved getting to know more about Jase and his past & his dreams, can’t say the same about his mom though. And Cassidy and all she had to work through, how she fought for her dreams to come true, so proud of her accomplishments. I like how her brothers were involved through the story, but wished Cassidy’s parents had a little more involvement throughout.
This is a clean story filled with past hurt, heartbreak, love, success, victory, forgiving, accomplishments and friendship.
Great story. I found the personal growth, which Cassidy exhibited, to be inspiring. And the support that Jase offered was profound.
Jase and Cassidy are far from a couple I would ever think would work out. Cassidy is a hard working woman, who owns her own business. She is well grounded and knows what she wants. Jase is an actor who likes to study his roles to seem more realistic when acting a part. He is a well rounded actor who has his mom as his manager. This brings a different twist to the story. I enjoyed the distrust Cassidy had for Jase at first. It gave depth to the romance and sucked me into the drama. Jase had his work cut out for him to prove to Cassidy he was more than his job. Will Jase give it all up for her, or will he succumb to his mother’s wishes? This is one story you do not want to miss.
Tiffany Williams has become as much a friend as the characters are to me. I cannot imagine anyone else narrating this series as well as Ms. Williams. It is always like returning to a familiar place when I start a book narrated by her. Ms. Williams creates a movie in my mind as she brings the story to life.
A fantastic well written standalone within a series. This easy fun romance has feel good moments, hard prejudice from previous experience, romance, and more. The characters are interesting and well developed with amazing chemistry. I loved the narration that really brought the story to life with excellent pacing and great distinct voices for each character.
4 Star review of Never Say Match by Lindzee Armstrong
Audio Review:
Both the author Lindzee Armstrong and narrator Tiffany WIlliams are new to me.
This is a sweet and romantic story that I enjoyed; the narration was strong and enhanced my enjoyment and she was able to convey different voices for the characters, which was good.
Cassidy is still reeling from events that left her scared and devastated with a broken heart.
When Jase suddenly appears at her family ranch to immerse himself in the Cowboy lifestyle for his next acting role, the last thing she wants or needs is to be attracted to him.
Even worse he is supposedly best friends with her jerk of an ex, another actor.
Jase is determined to break down the walls that Cassidy has built up, determined to prove that all actors are not like her ex.
As the walls begin to crumble, Cassidy and Jase begin a slow dance to love.
This was an excellent sweet clean contemporary romantic audiobook. It was a great story with a fantastic hero and heroine to love. They each had great personalities and a real sweet and romantic story. Really shows the importance of compromise and forgiveness in a relationship. The narrator did a great job clearly distinguishing voices and bringing them to life. Loved it!
Audio Review
4.5 Stars for this cute fun romance.
Lindzee Armstrong is a new author to me and Tiffany Williams the narrator is also new to me but after listening to this fun sweet romance that is about to change I will certainly be checking out other books and narrations from both of them.
This entertaining listen had me hooked from the first chapter to the very last line and I listened to it in one sitting. The characters have chemistry and some very witty banter and the narrator does a great job of being them to life. I loved the characters, I loved the story and I’m looking forward to reading or listening to more from this author and narrator.
Never Say Match
No Match for Love, Book 9
By: Lindzee Armstrong
Narrated by: Tiffany Williams
There is something to be said for a good, contemporary romance, and every time I listen to Lindzee Armstrong I am reminded how much I love them. This 9th book in the series lets us get to know Cassidy. She is a cupcake bakery owner who has been burned by the love of an actor. When Jase, a method actor comes to her family ranch to learn about farm life, she is not only skeptical but wants him gone. We met Jase in book 8, and appears to be a great guy, but with Cassidy’s past, will he prove her suspicions right? Armstrong continues to keep me entertained with her well developed characters and fun adventures. These two proved not only do opposites attract but their interests can meld. It’s fun, flirty, low angst and heart warming. I can’t wait to see who is next for us!
Tiffany Williams continues to bring this series to life. Her voices are specific and full of personality. I love her easy flow and enjoy the way she makes conversational narration so real. Her voice for Cassidy is full of emotional turmoil over a wedding cake and love when it comes to Jase. It’s the perfect mixture and makes the listen so enjoyable.

I melted into this book and enjoyed every minute of it! I loved Jace and Cassidy! Jace was famous, but so down to earth and genuine. Cassidy was quite the stubborn spitfire when she met Jace, and I couldn’t blame her. Her experience with actors had not been a good one. I liked watching her soften toward Jace. And bringing cupcakes into a story? Can’t go wrong with that one! Cassidy was so hard working and her love for her cupcake shop came through the pages. It’s another great book by Lindzee Armstrong!
I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.
Cassidy had a big trust issue – at least where actors were concerned. After having her heart yanked out and stomped all over by one, there was no way she was going to risk that happening again!
Once again, Lindzee Armstrong has written a romantic story that combines humor and serious moments. I liked the way that Jase was willing to jump in to help at the cupcake shop and how he respected Cassidy’s need for independence and still found ways to help her as she struggled with issues.
Though this is part of the series about the Toujour matchmaking company, there isn’t any matchmaking in this one. This is a rewrite of “Cupcakes and Cowboys” to integrate it into the No Match for Love series. New scenes have been added and others were redone. Jase was first introduced in Match Me By Christmas, on the Toujour run matchmaking cruise where Cassidy’s brother Shawn was the cruise director. While I remembered some of the details from the original story, it has been long enough that other than remembering after I started a section that it was familiar, I couldn’t even tell you what changed.
If you are looking for a light-hearted romance with lovable characters, I recommend this one.

I was given a copy of this book for free. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
No Wedding Cakes!
I originally read this, before it was revised for the MATCH series, as “Cupcakes and Cowboys,” but other than a few seamlessly interwoven tie-ins to the core story it appears to remain basically unchanged and as delightful as before. This bright and breezy romance strikes all the right chords: good guys, bad guys, a feisty heroine and a fabulous setting, well written and charming. Of course, I grew up with cowboys in the movies and on TV so my nostalgia bone was on high alert but Ms. Armstrong gets the details right as past tragedy is overcome and true love wins out. (No spoilers–we know this MUST occur because it is an HEA [Happily Ever After]!)
UPDATE–re”read” AUDIO version:
Listening to this immediately after hearing Book 8, I really enjoyed the segue of Jase, a side-character from the cruise, into the lead. And, surprise! The heroine is none other than the sister of the cruise VIP coordinator! Didn’t get a chance to enjoy “Match Me by Christmas” yet? No worries–this story stands completely on its own. I should point out that narrator Tiffany Williams, a favorite among voice artists, does her usual superb job, adding Oklahoma drawl to a captivating story.
Never Say Match is yet another delightful romance from Lindzee Armstrong. The characters are so personable I almost expect to meet them on the street! I lost some sleep because I could not put down this book! Cassidy, whose actor fiancee disappeared the night before their wedding, has overcome a lot to open her dream bakery. The last thing she thinks she needs is another actor in her life. She cannot believe her brother sent Jase to the ranch for four months of immersion in ranching. Jase proves to be a country boy, a caring, gentleman – nothing like Cassidy’s ex! Come along on their journey. You will not regret it!
While the books in this series are stand alone, I would recommend reading Match Me For Christmas before this one since Jase makes his first appearance in that book.
I absolutely loved getting to know more of Jase, including his relationship with his mother. Even though Cassidy was ditched by her fame-chasing ex-fiancé, she learns that she needs to get to know Jase for who he is and not lump all actors together. This was a quick, very enjoyable read.
