I want more than a kiss. I want forever.Basically, I have a short, silly list of what I want in a guy:
Fascinating Smile
Stormy Eyes
Passionate Soul
Sees the real me when no one else does.
Okay, maybe I’ve read too many romantic fantasies. But even though I have dozens of book boyfriends, I’m ready for a real oneMy friends are determined to help me have my first kiss before the end of the summer, … friends are determined to help me have my first kiss before the end of the summer, but I want more than just a surface attraction and a brief fling.
I want real, lasting love.
Too bad I’m a nerdy, boring, curvy kind of girl. Guys just aren’t interested in that.
My friend Dante, however, is a charming girl-slayer and the perfect person to help me figure out how to attract the guy of my dreams.
I just have to ignore the fact that he checks all my boxes.
Because he isn’t interested in the forever kind of love.

Never Let Me Forget is a sweet story about a group of friends that are out of school for the summer and the girl’s had made it a competition that they have to get their first kiss before summer is over. This proves to be harder than they thought it would be. It really seems that Sadie was a lost cause as she is more plus size than the other girls. She feels bad about how she looks and when someone tells her that guys are looking at her, she doesn’t believe them. Dante, one of their friends tells her she is not the kind you want to steam the windows up with, but the type you want as a forever love. This was just the beginning of what was going to happen between Sadie and Dante and with the ongoing competition.
This was a sweet, clean young adult book about a young woman, Sadie, who has self-esteem issues because she isn’t skinny, but curvy. She can’t see her own beauty and is surprised when others can. Dante is someone she has always wanted to notice her and love her for being her and not one of his arm candy girls. She wants her first kiss to be special and she wants it to be with Dante. But, she and Dante have been friends for years and what if that messes up everything? But then again, what if it changes everything for the better? Is it worth the risk?
This is one of the books in s a series of books written about a group of girlfriends who have never experienced their first kiss. They are ready to go off to college and their summer’s goal is to be kissed for the first time. Piper, the friend or instigator, has been kissed and she is determined to have all her friends experience their first kiss before leaving for college.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
Cutesy and cliche, but perfect for a quick entertaining read. Throughly enjoyed and was so happy on the ending. Would have loved to see more of them as a couple. But it’s a nice story.
Sadie is a curvy girl with self esteem issues. Dante is part of her group of best friend’s and is very popular with the ladies. He’s usually great at talking to them and putting them at ease. Around Sadie, he’s good at embarrassing them both. There’s a scene at a friend’s party that would’ve scarred me for life!
Really enjoying this series and can’t wait for the next one!
Sadie is like almost any bookworm–she lives vicariously through characters in books and has a lot of book boyfriends. When challenged to have her first kiss by summer’s end, she decides to take it a step further and find love, and who better to help her than her good friend, Dante?
Friends-to-lovers is a favorite trope of mine because I love that the characters have a solid relationship to build on and the first realization that something more might be in the wings is so satisfying.
My heart went out to Sadie. She’s not model thin and isn’t super confident about herself, her looks, her size, and her ability to find someone to love her. That seems to be the plight of so many out there. Dante definitely didn’t help things a time or two, but he’s got goodness in his core.
The give and take of this coming-of-age story resonated with my heart and I really enjoyed Sadie’s journey to find love. This is such a fun summer beach read series and I can’t wait for more!

One thing I always appreciate about this author’s style is that she takes a fun and sweet story and infuses it with real-life issues so the MC’s become relatable. I can’t imagine that anyone wouldn’t be able to relate to Sadie. Weight aside, who didn’t struggle with self-esteem in high school? This is a feel good story that will have you rooting for the heroine, and that makes the first kiss even sweeter!
