As a forensic genealogist, Willow Anderson is following in her late grandfather’s footsteps in her quest for answers about a baby abducted from the hospital more than twenty years ago. The case may be cold, but things are about to heat up when someone makes an attempt on her life to keep her from discovering the truth.Ex-FBI agent–and Willow’s ex-flame–Austin McKade readily offers his help to … his help to protect the woman he never should have let get away. In this fast-paced and emotional page-turner, bestselling author Elizabeth Goddard keeps the stakes high, the romantic tension sparking, and the outcome uncertain until the very end.

Fast-paced and suspenseful, Never Let Go lives up to its name. It grabs you by the throat from the first page, takes you through riveting twists and turns, and doesn’t let go until a powerhouse ending.
Holy wow! If you are looking for a fast paced, emotional mystery look no further! You get all that and more in this amazing story. You think you figure out what is going on, but that’s not always the case. I can’t say enough about this story to do it justice. All I can say is read and you won’t be disappointed!
This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth Goddard and I have found another favorite romantic suspense author. Elizabeth Goddard combines fast-paced and action-filled plot with relatable and angst-filled characters. The plot has many layers and surprises that you won’t be able to guess who the villain is and the motive until the very end! There are themes of forgiveness, grace, and acceptance of God’s mercy infused into the main characters’ development. If you are a fan of romantic suspense, you will not want to miss this one.
Willow, our heroine, is determined, feisty, resourceful, and compassionate as a forensic genealogist. She is unfortunately blindsided when family tragedy strikes and gets involved in a case of trying to find a baby who was taken 21 years ago. Austin, her ex-boyfriend, is strong, loyal, and intelligent but lives in a world of regrets and guilt. He’s now a private investigator who gets involved in Willow’s case due to her grandfather’s request. These two work so well together, despite their differences and tumultuous past, and I can’t wait to see more of them as the series unfolds. I’m hoping the next book will be about Heath, Austin’s oldest brother, since he had a large role in this particular story.
I was given a copy of this book by Revell and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
this is a revitting story I could not put down, a lady has a baby and she is stolen from the hospital. years later Willow’s grandfather dies, and she is trying to finish up his last case, she is a genealogist and is trying to find a girl who is missing, Austin is an ex FBI agent and Willow’s ex boyfriend. someone is trying to stop her from looking for the girl. can he help her and keep them both alive? I was given a copy of the book by netgalley but this is an honest review. if you have read any of the authors books you will want to read this one.
I enjoyed the story…. I wanted to love the series.. I assume will follow… then … I dis engaged… Not into Christian Fiction… At times… the God thing becomes a whining crutch…
Interesting suspenseful story that follows an intricate web of mystery.
BRILLIANT! Willow Anderson, a forensic genealogist, takes over a cold case that her grandfather, JT, had been working on before he was killed in a hit-and-run. Willow is devastated by his death. To complicate matters further, Austin McKade, her former flame and former FBI agent. was contacted by her grandfather to consult on this same cold case.
I was immediately caught up in the story. The twists and turns kept me guessing until the end. I love how these characters live out their faith. I’m looking forward to the next installment in this series.
Recommend to those who enjoy inspirational, romantic suspense.
I won a copy. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
This was the first book I read by Goddard. I enjoyed the twists and turns, even though I was able to figure them out before they occurred. This is also the first book I read with a forensic genealogist. I enjoyed learning about the field. The main characters were likable and relatable. I enjoyed seeing their romance blossom as they worked through secrets and their pasts and learned to rely on God. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Never Let Go is a book about reuniting families while out running & out witting the enemy. Willow & Austin are hired to look into a cold case where a baby was stolen from a hospital 21 years ago. By following the threads, this story weaves itself together with a few twists and turns.
The title of this book is how I felt as I read: I didn’t want to let go of my tablet until I finished the story! Elizabeth is an expert at weaving a super complex mystery with relatable characters who have their own problems – apart from the situation they find themselves in. I could NOT figure out who the “bad guy” was until the reveal. And, I didn’t want the story to end!
Oh. My. Goodness! Never Let Go is a book that is impossible to put down. It is ACTION, ADVENTURE, MYSTERY from the first page till the very end. All of that with a beautiful romance and two people learning about faith, love and trust-first with their Heavenly Father and them with each other. Never Let Go is a truly fabulous book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Uncommon Justice series!
Willow Anderson is a forensic genealogist who is involved in a case which her late grandfather J T had undertaken just before he is killed while riding his bike. The case involves a woman who is terminally ill trying to find her daughter who had been kidnapped from the hospital just a few hours after she was born. J T had agreed to try and find her daughter. Now Willow feels that she must tell the woman that she can’t take on the case even though her grandfather had been teaching her the business from an early age. Then the same night she takes the files home to go over them, her house is set on fire with her in it–ARSON. Austin McKade is an ex-FBI agent and her former ex-boyfriend. When this happens she becomes infuriated and she takes on the case enlisting the aid of Austin, even though she has reservations about doing so. Lots of twists and turns and attempts on her life as the story progresses. This book was one that I simply could not put down and ended up finishing at 4 a.m. Great story and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
If you’re looking for a romantic suspense novel to keep you guessing until the very end, you’ll love Never Let Go by Elizabeth Goddard!
This extremely well-crafted story delivers a fantastic mix of mystery, intrigue, romance and suspense. Never Let Go starts out with an intense prologue and eventful opening chapters, then slows down just enough to allow readers to relax, witness the character development and contemplate the clues to this cold case.
Remember how I said it slows down just enough? Don’t get too cozy, because the pace picks back up quickly and will have you on the edge of your seat! The quick, cliffhanging chapters and engaging plot make for an unputdownable, page-turning read!
I absolutely recommend this book!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from author Elizabeth Goddard. A positive review was not required. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
Great book!
Great romantic suspense that kept me turning the pages!!
Such a great book, didn’t want to put it down and couldn’t wait for the 2nd one.
Loved this book. It was my first by this author, but won’t be my last.
Elizabeth Goddard was a new to me author and WOW did she deliver. Her style is very different from what I’m used to in the CF genre, but in a good way. It did take me a while to adjust, but I soon became captivated by the characters. The pace of the story kept me moving and wanting to turn the page. I appreciated Willow’s tenacity and strength. She was a strong female lead who also allowed you to love her in a romance role. Austin was the alpha male we all need with the tenderness of a romantic. The tension in this book was INCREDIBLE, both in the romance and the suspense. Just when I thought I knew what was coming, Goddard jerked me into another direction I never saw coming. I great first book in the series, and I can’t wait for more.
Never read this author before. Really enjoyed it.
Never Let Go is the first novel in Elizabeth Goddard’s Uncommon Justice series. As expected, this book is built around a mystery that kept me guessing until the end. I love it when I don’t know who the villian is until the moment he or she is revealed! The mystery aspect carried the weight of the story from beginning to end.
The romance between Austin and Willow started out brilliantly. The tension and questions about their past relationship were intriguing at first. Unfortunately, the romantic tension started to fizzle out less than halfway through. Sure, there were still unresolved feelings and things to be communicated, but it lost some of its zap. I think if there had been deeper character development, maybe that would have made their relationship more enticing, but as it was, their thoughts and desires felt a bit repetitive.
The strength of Never Let Go by Elizabeth Goddard lies in its mystery narrative and ability to keep the reader guessing. If you have enjoyed previous books by this author, you might enjoy Never Let Go.
