I can’t stand books that make you have to buy the next one to see what happens. End the book and then write the sequel
This was a true college angst story. It was cute and at times a little frustrating. The secret is a major headache for all in involved except the person who started it all. The complications and implications of it affect everyone even if they do not know it.
The sexual tension between them does not help the situation or their ability keep that secret. I am still frustrated with the cliff hanger but, that’s on me until I read the next story. 🙂
Over all I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next installment.
A hilarious story of college life but not a standalone…
Enjoyable to read!
This story was wild. I don’t know how so many twists and turns ended up in one story, but it kept me reading and waiting to see when they would be discovered for all their little lies! The characters were fun and seemed well developed. I liked it a lot.
Hated the end!!!!
Decent trashy beach read 🙂
I liked it well enough to go back and buy the series
Never Have You Ever is the first book in Elizabeth Hayley’s new series. I love RomComs, if you do too, this is your next read! Hilarious and full of drama and angst. This is a funny story about college kids. Are you Team Sophie or Team Drew? The angst is real and keeps the pages turning while you are laughing and sitting on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait for the next installment.
Sassy comedy at its finest! Never Have You Ever is the perfect mix of enemies to lovers and mistaken identity. I was expecting a quick light-hearted comedy, but was pleasantly surprised with a little drama and shocked when I reached the end! I stayed up reading this is one sitting and then was happily surprised when Truth or Dare You appeared on my Kindle the next day! Such an amazing new series from a wonderful duo and I can’t wait to see what comes next for Drew and Sophia!!!
I love this writing duo! Their combo of humor and heat are always a refreshing break from my normal line up and Never Have You Ever did not disappoint!
Never Have You Ever is a college romance with a twist. It is intriguing, sexy, and humorous.
Sophia is entering her junior year in college and the drama is already beginning. From the very first chapter, we meet her sorority’s president, Aamee. She is the worst. Sophia’s best guy friend spends the night in her room and Aamee uses that to get her kicked out the sorority house. She packs and heads to her brother’s apartment hoping that he will let her crash there. But when she knocks on the door, a sexy guy named Drew opens the door. That’s when things start to get interesting.
Drew is a bartender who met Sophia’s brother, Brody, at the bar. They made a deal; Drew would pretend to be Brody and attend college while Brody traveled Europe. Drew never had the means to go to college and further his education so jumps at the chance. Everything was going as planned until he met Sophia.
Drew and Sophia agree to be roommates and go along with the charade. As the book goes on, readers will see the amazing chemistry the two share. And it becomes harder to keep up the brother/sister act.
I give Never Have You Ever 5 stars. I always look forward to reading Elizabeth Hayley because their writing is so sexy and fun. They set up this series perfectly. Sophia and Drew share so many funny, unexpected, and witty moments that will make readers fall in love with the characters quickly. There is a cliffhanger that made my mouth drop. Why did you have to do that to me, ladies. LOL I am so anxious to read the rest of the books. Good thing readers don’t have to wait too long for the upcoming books.
Ever since I read this author duo’s Misadventure books, I have been hooked on them! Their style and voice for romantic comedies are my jam! They are never silly or OTT but always pack a good amount of humor. I actually read this book a little over three weeks ago (I know, shocking that it slipped my mind to review but here we are) and as I sit here putting together my highlights and notes for a review I find myself laughing and smiling like a lunatic just as I was when I read this story!
You guys, the premise of this story is absolute genius. They hooked me from the meet-cute and I just did not stop enjoying myself until I had no more words. And you know what the best part was? When I tell you that New Adult shenanigans were running amok, I’m not playing but, holy mother of gawd, I enjoyed every one! When does that happen with me? Never, that’s when. LOL This book is like one elaborate game of guess who or maybe clue? I dunno, I’m too old but I just know I loved it and that’s a rarity for me, especially with New Adult. If you follow my reviews, you’re familiar with my opinion of this age group … ice pick to the eyeballs people!! But these kids, they were fun and I want to be their friend!
Now I get to tell you the not so fun for me part … The ending. Let me be clear, I enjoyed every single word of this story, even the ending or shall I say pause / cliffhanger, I just did not know this was the type of book to have that kind of ending and I didn’t appreciate that. You guys moving forward won’t have that issue because there’s more information out there now about this book and future books in this series, but I didn’t have that and if I’m being 100% honest, when aspects of a book are not fully disclosed to the reader, it makes me #twitchy and I don’t like it. Do with that information what you will …
Yet another brilliant rom-com from Elizabeth and Hayley! I have been awaiting the arrival of this book since it was first announced, and I definitely was not disappointed. This book had me laughing and kept the pages turning. I think this may be my favorite book by this duo to date. I definitely recommend!!
I love Elizabeth Hayley and their light-hearted funny ass all heck books! They do an amazing job creating loveable characters, laughable moments, and compelling storylines. This one wasn’t any different. I live Sophia from the start. She’s like your best friend throughout the whole book. She may come from a life of privilege but she’s down to earth and just wants to do well in school and make something of herself. Drew is awesome!!! He’s by far my favorite character, he just rocks. He’s the type of guy who will befriend anyone and who has your back no matter what. He’s cool and fun and loyal. He may find himself in a sticky situation but he makes the best of it with Sophia. They have to pretend they are bro and sis for the sake of their reputation and their grades! Irs such a creative storyline and has tons of little twists! Throughout this book we meet SO MANY awesome characters, it’s like a band of misfits that just makes sense. Of course this is a rom-com and yes my favorite part is always the romance. It takes forever for Drew and Soph to make the first move but once they do I just adore them! The ending, really the ending!!!! I just cannot wait for the next one! Drew and Sophia’s stroy is far from over!!
Elizabeth Hayley has become one of my favorite authors and once again this book did not disappoint! We meet college junior Sophie, who gets kicked out of her sorority house due to a “misunderstanding”, and bartender Drew, who gets asked by Sophie’s brother Brody to masquerade as him for the semester so he can go travel Europe. What entails is nothing but hilarious interactions and off the charts chemistry. I really enjoyed the banter and antics with Sophie, Drew and their friends.
I definitely wasn’t expecting this book to end on a cliffhanger and I will be not so patiently waiting for the next book the series! 🙂
Absolutely loved this book. Kept me hooked from the beginning. Wonderful book
Sofia sucks you in as soon as you start and then add on more characters and o-m-GEEZ DREW and you got one hell of a book. Don’t be surprised if it doesn’t take you long to finish it. Oh and btw… get ready to be sitting on the cliff the author leaves you on while you try to pick up your jaw and heart. Sofia and Drew definitely have obstacles in front of them that NO ONE else would, but they make the best of it…. but what happens when it all comes crashing down around them??
