Who is this guy?Sophia Mason’s junior year of college isn’t exactly off to the best start. The semester has just begun, and the president of her sorority has already ousted her from the house. With nowhere else to turn, she ends up at her brother’s apartment—only to find it inhabited instead by a handsome stranger. On paper, Drew Nolan doesn’t have much going for him as an uneducated bartender … him as an uneducated bartender from a sketchy family. Forced into a cover-up under the same roof, Sophia and Drew forge an unlikely friendship. As the two grow closer, lines blur and boundaries stretch, and they find comfort in living the lie they’ve adopted. I needed this fantastically fun fast rom-com read. The shenanigans Drew and Sophia get into are the ultimate. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.
This is the second book I’ve read from the authors and it was great. In this story you’ll meet Sophia who is attending college and in a sorority until one night while having a tutoring session with a classmate Carter they fall asleep and she ends up getting severely punished by the sorority president even though nothing actually happened that night.
*
Which leads to her having to share a place with Drew who is doing a favor for her brother unfortunately Sophia doesn’t know that when she first shows up.

There is plenty of laugh out loud moments and the ending!! Definitely need to read the next book like now! Overall it was great seeing everything play out and wondering what if anything would happen between the two. Definitely recommend!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

What’s a girl to do when she has been kicked out of her sorority house because the guy she was tutoring fell asleep in her room. Accidents happen but boy her sorority doesn’t see it that way since they have a very strict no guys in the house overnight rule that they all have to follow. She finds herself kicked out and needs a place to stay. Thank goodness her brother has an apartment and she can go there till she can figure out what to do. To Sophia’s surprise thought it isn’t her brother but a stranger named Drew Nolan living in her brother’s apartment. He is a bartender who always wanted to do better and get an education so when Sophia’s brother made a deal that he would travel Europe and not go to classes Drew is more than thrilled to get the education he desperately wanted and save Drew from anyone knowing that he is out traveling across Europe. This is a story of a merry band of misfits as more characters are added to the story who are happily playing into the story of Drew being Brody while an attraction begins to grow between Sophia and Drew. This is a cute story that will kind of stress you out waiting on everything to blow up in all their faces. You have to read to find out what and if this happens. This was a cute story that I enjoyed reading.
Love Drew and Sophia. I can’t wait to see what Elizabeth and Hayley come up with next for this series.
I adore the quirkiness of this writing duo and Never Have You Ever doesn’t disappoint. A page turner story that has all the ingredients of a perfect romance: a dash of humor, a pinch of heat, and scoop of love. Loved it!
One of my favorite Elizabeth Hayley books to date! The storyline of Sophia and Drew is funny and intense. Both using lies for what they thought were for good reasons, but lying is never a good thing. I want this to be a total spoiler free review because this a book you can’t put down and you will enjoy Sophia, Drew and even the quips of Sophia brother Brody.
Anticipating next book!
How could you??
I’m livid right now –
I am not even sure where to direct my anger.
The author or a certain member of the cast?
How. Could. You??
For 98% of this story, I was laughing, exploring, being a part of something new. Having the time of my life. Heck, I even felt a little nostalgic watching Sophia and Drew and the other members of their little band of wayward misfit students testing the waters called life, sampling all the possibilities before them. Some left them with a bit of a WTH did I hangover and others with the feeling they could take on the world.
Then you did this…
By the way, this ends on a cliffy and if you are anything like me you will most likely find yourself a touch torn at the end. Especially after you became extremely attached to all the wonderful characters in this modern breakfast club.
I found the cast easy to connect with on a personal level which resulted in bouts of laughter at their ridiculous antics, merriment at their small accomplishments as they slowly discovered all the possibilities that life afforded them, and a painful sense of loss when fate intervened so callously.
I’m going to take a moment to decompress
I’ll be back to complete my thoughts …
Hang in there Sophie
Pops your an @rse!
Carter, I absolutely adore you!
Drew you are funny, intelligent, and worth more than you believe
and Xander you devilishly smart young man I do so hope we get your story
To the rest of the crew, I also look forward to meeting you on a more personal level
Overall this is an enjoyable start to a new series.
Wonderful characters –
Those that we get to know I do wish we knew a bit more about some of the antagonists but I think that was done with intention.
Easy to follow storyline that provided a strong overall emotional connection
The copy I read was comp.
Wow!
Falling for an impostor…very unique storyline.
Perfect lesson that lies catch up with you!
I didnt honestly think I’d love this book as much as I did. For me it was a really good rom-com even without the detailed love-making. That ending was just what I needed to read book #2 and #3. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for Sophia and Drew and even Brody.
Loved this book!! I’m a fan of these authors for life. I was literally laughing out loud during this book. The craziness that Sophia & Drew get into was hilarious. I really wanted to throat punch Aamee – sorry not sorry. I can’t wait to get the next book and see what is in store for these two.
This was a cute and fun read.
Absolutely brilliant!
Firstly, this is book one of The Love Game series a new series by Elizabeth Hayley and what an amazing start it was. I have been a fan of these two authors for some time now. I love their rom-com romance most. They always write witty, fun and really enjoyable characters and plots and Never Have You Ever was all those things and more.
Sophie has some sass on her, she’s feisty and fun and I found myself connected to her from the start. She was kicked out of her sorority house for breaking one rule and finds herself at her brothers’ apartment with nowhere else to go. But it wasn’t her brother that answered the door, it was Drew, someone impersonating her brother so he didn’t have to go to school, instead, her brother was off travelling and it worked out well because it means Drew could get the education he wanted.
Drew and Sophie end up agreeing to keep pretending that Drew is her brother and they go to school and live as if he was. Drew helps her come up with a plan to try and get her place back in the sorority house, but it doesn’t go as plan and it ends up causing even more trouble and as the story begins to unfold, Sophie and Drew start to develop a bond, and start to develop feelings they should be having for one another but the chemistry between them has only been intensifying as the story progressed and they can’t help these feelings as they only get stronger…
I loved this. Rom-com’s are not really my kind of reads. I do enjoy them here and there, but I usually am on the darker side of romance, however, when it comes to these two authors and their amazing ability to tell a story that grabs hold of my heart, makes me swoon and laugh-out-loud and this was no exception. This was an incredible start to what promises to be an amazing series of books! As always these authors deliver a fun, light-hearted, steamy, laugh-out-loud romance that had me smiling, laughing and swoony throughout. I can’t wait for book two!
5 Stars
I highly recommend starting this series!
Drew and Sophia meet when she gets kicked out of her sorority house and decides to stay with her brother. Quite a surprise to find her brother has gone to Europe and has Drew living his life. The 2 of them continue to cover for Sophia’s brother and become friends in the process.
Drew and Sophia kept me entertained with their banter and antics to get Sophia back in the house. Great characters including Carter and Drew’s project group. I wasn’t a fan of Aamee and her followers but they made the story that much funnier. Drew and Sophia have great chemistry and I loved them together. Elizabeth Hayley dropped a major cliffhanger at the end and I am now waiting not so patiently for book 2.
Never Have You Ever sucked me in from the very beginning and I loved every single moment of this story.
After breaking a rule at her Sorority, Sophia was kicked out and went to go stay with her brother. However, when she showed up at his apartment the man living there was not her brother. Drew has an opportunity to experience college that he otherwise wouldn’t have if it weren’t for Brody, however, when his sister Sophia shows up to stay that can potentially change everything.
I loved Sophia and Drew’s relationship. There was an attraction from the moment they first met, however, with them pretending to be siblings to their friends and the entire school they couldn’t do much about that. However, you can only deny chemistry for so long. Their relationship wasn’t easy from the start and was full of ups and downs, but I loved them both. Drew was supportive of Sophia when it came to getting her back into the Sorority house and Sophia was supportive of Drew when it came to school and his job.
I wasn’t expecting this book to end on a cliffhanger and my jaw was on the floor when I got to the end. I was yelling at my kindle wanting more because it couldn’t just end where it did.
Never Have You Ever is a MUST READ switch and bait romance that will leave you feeling all sorts of emotions.
Did you ever fall for someone you know you shouldn’t?
Sophia and Drew’s “friendship” was delightful to read. Sophia gets booted out of her sorority and goes to live with her brother. But instead of her brother a complete stranger answers his door. She finds out Drew has taken on her brother Brody’s identity.
You just know this is going to turn into a disastrous situation. On top of everything the more Sophia and Drew get to know each other, the closer they become. This was a charming and fun book to read.
Sophia was just being a good person, helping a jock named Carter study in her room at her Sorority House…innocent in falling asleep… until Aamee, the President of the Sorority calls her out, making a spectacle, accusing them of spending the night together and evicts Sophia out of the house. With nowhere to go, she goes to her somewhat estranged brother Brody’s apartment to find a place to crash, who happens to be attending her college since the eternal party boy was bounced from his last college. Image Sophia’s surprise when a gorgeous hunk of man answers the door, claiming to be Brody. She finds out Brody is traipsing around Europe, letting fake Brody (Drew) take his place, apartment and his classes. Since this her only option till she can get herself back into the sorority house… she has to share the apartment with Drew. From there, all kinds of antics occur, one crazy or aggravating calamity after the other, with Sophia finding herself more and more drawn to Drew (who she has told others he is gay to leave him alone). You will gut laugh and ugly cry, rooting for Sophia and Drew to have their hearts desires… do they get their wishes… stay tuned.
