I can’t get enough of these books
Ian and Claire, their story is beautiful. I love them together as they compliment each other, both strategic thinkers, planners. No- nonsense, don’t trust easily and keeps their hearts fully guarded but together all bets are off.
I absolutely adore Connor and Dylan’s characters. They bring so much joy to the story with so many LOL moments. No matter how down someone is they make them smile. I hope they find their special someone.
Thanks to the raucous Sutton brothers Claire Wendell and Ian Barrington begin a rocky journey to love. They’re both fixers and protective of those they love. With Claire, Ian slowly reveals the real man beneath. Claire learns to trust that he will not be another person to abandon her.
This book was ok. Initially I loved the series because of the family connections. As I read I grew to like the characters. Now books seemed focused more on quick development of relationships and steamy sex.
With the previous book, it seemed that most of the mystery around the Barrington family was solved, however, Never Goodbye begins with a new mystery as well as comedy that Cardello writes so well. The way Cardello writes the family dynamics of the Barringtons and the character growth of Ian, in particular, is truly special and the way Kade and Claire’s relationship is written feels natural and the conflict never feels forced. Finally the comedy! With the serious story and plot of the book you wouldn’t expect there to be a comedy, but Cardello is able to write these scenes along with the serious, and they are truly laughing out loud funny. I’ve been a fan of Ruth Cardello’s for a long time and this is such a great example of how her writing has grown more complex and feels effortless to read.
Ruth always write a story that surprised you. A twist here and there. A match that seems impossible. Distrust turned into complete trust and devotion.. All are here in the story of Ian Barrington, a power ball that rolls over every thing and everyone when he feels it’s necessary for his family. And Claire Wendell is in his way and a suspect in blocking information about the mystery of his baby brother’s disappearance as an infant. Who is she protecting and who can she not forget. And will he recognize true love or destroy it?? I don’t give spoilers, and always feel that Ruth gives the best teasers on her own books. I’ll just recommend it and a huge cuppa your favorite beverage to keep you refreshed while you enjoy “Never Goodbye” !! It’s Another Fantastic installment into the Barrington Billionaires.
“Never Goodbye” is book seven in The Barrington Billionaires series and I just need to say that this is one of my favorite series, I love the Barringtons.
This is the story of Ian Barrington and Claire Wendell. Ian is the fixer in the family, he feels like he has to make everything right and it really bothers him if he can’t. Claire is the best friend of Annie, who just married Ian’s long lost brother Kade, one of the problems that Ian feels like he should have been able to fix and didn’t. Maybe he still can, but at what price?
A lot of words come to mind when describing this book: funny, sexy, entertaining, sad, hopeful, family and forgiveness are just a few of them.
If you are a romance lover you have to read this book, it is a page turner that I couldn’t read fast enough.
Five “fix it” stars for this one!!
Brilliant. Absolutely loved this book and the series. You can’t go wrong with a book by Ruth. Totally recommend
Oh, Ian!
I have always wondered how Ian Barrington’s story would come about, and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed at all!
Ian was the eldest, the fixer. The one who carried the most guilt when his brother, Kade, was separated from his family. To compensate for what he believed was his shortcoming, he compensated by leading a double life, one who provides results for situations otherwise thought to be hopeless. In doing so, he brcame ruthless and suspicious of anything and anyone he comes in contact with, specially when it deals with his family.
Claire Wendell put her career on the line when she decided to help Ian’s long-lost brother, Kade, and his wife, Annie–Claire’s best friend, reintegrate into the Barrington family. Suspicious and wary of her intentions his parents decide to visit her in Australia, Ian follows them to see what she was up to, only to end up falling for Claire.
This was exactly how I pictured Ian’s story to end, with him being put on his place by a woman who turned out to be his equal. I love that in the end, Ruth Cardello managed to bring closure to the Barrington’s saga.
I also appreciate the lesson Ruth Cardello imparted to us, her readers–that no matter the situation, trust, and faith, must always be present in everything that we do. Trust and faith in others, and most importantly, in ourselves. Otherwise, everything we live for, will be for naught.
A person either adapted or imploded. People thought they wanted fame until every move they made was dissected—and fed to the masses often harshly and inaccurately. Demon or saint, the media chose how to portray someone, and many people fell into the trap of defining themselves in terms of how the public saw them.
–Ruth Cardello, Never Goodbye
Trusting and putting our faith in other’s hands does not mean relinquishing control of our destiny. It does not mean that we are eak. It means, simply, that we are willing to grow.
“Focus on what is within your control to affect and not on the noise of what you cannot.”
–Ruth Cardello, Never Goodbye
It is accepting that whatever life throws our way, be it a happy occurence or sad, there will always be someone out there who is experiencing the opposite, and that’s okay.
“We are more than what happens to us. Don’t give anyone the power to change who you are, Ian.”
–Ruth Cardello, Never Goodbye
“Be kind to each other—no matter where this goes. That’s all I ask.” Ian’s eyes riveted to Claire’s again. Kind. No, he hadn’t always been that with her. “Is that the secret to making it work?” Without missing a beat, his father replied, “It’s the secret to being able to look yourself in the mirror and not hate the person looking back. Relationships aren’t easy. Even at their best, they’re messy, gut-wrenching, all-consuming. Nothing will ever cut as deeply as a look of disappointment in the eyes of the person you love.”
–Dale Barrington, Never Goodbye
It was wonderful.
A wonderful addition to this series.
Love this book I have read it 4 times. What a great author I love all her books
Another great Barrington tale with the addition of two goofy brothers and an intense friend. When Ian, whose always been the fixer in the family can’t deal with not being in control he’s an insufferable grouch. In her own way Claire is also a fixer. To say these two clashed would be an understatement. But opposites attract as they say. Sometimes the best medicine for someone is a taste of their own. Things were intense but what in life is easy if it’s worth it. It took almost losing everything for Ian to realize he wasn’t responsible for the past and that unless he let it go he would never be happy. Claire and Ian needed each other to learn what was important. Without Bradford intervening I’m not sure they would have come out on the right end of things. And the meatheads had a major role in the relationship development. Can’t wait for more
The Barrington Billionaire series is a great series of books about a family that is healing from a tragedy when the children were young. Now in their 30s they are all falling in love and settling down.
Ian is the family fixer. He is overly tense and quite judgmental until he comes up against Clair and starts to see how life could be.
This series and the other series with extended family members are enjoyable. My only complaint is I need a roadmap for all the characters.
Never Goodbye is the 7th book in Ruth Cardello Barrington Series! I truly love this author! I so enjoy reading each story she writes. I love Claire and Ian story.
Claire and Ian has blend of so much! There is drama, laugh, and in the mix of it all is love. Claire decide to put her life aside to help her friend who was marrying into the Barrington family. Ian is what they call the fixer of the family. When you put strong character together who both have there own inner struggles to deal with you get a great story.
Ruth Cardello does an amazing job in her book. I find them hard to put down. I love forward each story she writes. This another FIVE star read.
Ruth Cardello tells a great story with Never Goodbye. It is a great addition to her Barrington Billionaires series. I enjoyed being in the world she created once again. Ruth writes stories about characters that are like family to go home to again.
In this story, Ian and Claire don’t have a love at first sight moment. It’s more like hate. But a key component to remember about hate, is there are strong emotions tied in. Their story is unique but had me needing to know what would happen next.
I enjoyed their combustible chemistry, their ability to stay independent, yet come together as a couple and their witty one-liners to keep each other in check.
I can’t wait to see what Ruth has in store for us next.
We finally got what we have all been waiting for…. Ian Barrington “The Fixer”. Who would have ever guessed the depths of his brooding and in the end his pure heart of gold.
Ruth delivered another storyline that was a knockout in the Barrington Saga. From the beginning we all wanted answers, the cause and effect per say but what he received was something that is movie worthy. The final piece to a puzzle that was redone a million times over the course of seven books.
The splash full of laughter, tears, gunshots, and understanding. Where friendships were questioned and foes were deleted.
We experienced family by blood and by choice. Love with no bounds, honesty at its purest. Never Goodbye was by far one of my favorites. It had it all in 21 chapters.
I love “The Barrington Billionaires” series… each book takes you on another journey.
Ian Barrington is a man of mystery, the first you go to if you want something fixed.
He’s also very hard on himself when he thinks he didn’t do enough where his long thought dead brother Kade is concerned.
Leave it to the “Meat heads” to shake him up a little bit…when they sort of kidnap and deliver him to Claire. They misunderstood something she said and only want to help.
Claire doesn’t think highly of Ian but there’s something about him that calls to her.
Never Goodbye made me laugh, cry and sigh but it was well worth the read…praying there’s another book or two or three in the series!
An awesome read by Ruth. Ian and Claire set out to find the truth. Finding out that his brother is alive. A pager turner for sure along with amazing words being told without a doubt.
Ian Barrington is such a mysterious and strong personality that you either love him or can’t stand him, but when he and Claire get together the edges soften a bit. I really enjoyed getting a better look at Ian in Never Goodbye and love him and Claire together. Claire is such a strong personality herself and yet so vulnerable at the same time that you can’t help but love her.
This book had me laughing out loud and sometimes tearing up through the pages, but what a great story.
An enemy to lovers. Ian liked to have all the answers, leaving strings hanging after finding their brother who was supposed to be dead, turned Ian into a surly mistrusting man. He thought he needed to have all the answers to be at peace.
Claire is a life coach who has trouble taking her own advice. Her best friend is marrying the long lost Barrington brother and has been asked to accompany them to Boston for the wedding.
Things about Ruth Cardello’s books, you can’t put them down they suck you in. In Never Goodbye she weaves a love story out of a challenging situation with drama and humor. She gives you all the feels while delivering an awesome love story. I highly recommend Ian and Claire’s story and the whole Barrington series. You won’t be sorry.
