Ruby never asked for the abilities that almost cost her her life. Now she must call upon them on a daily basis, leading dangerous missions to bring down a corrupt government and breaking into the minds of her enemies. Other kids in the Children’’s League call Ruby “Leader,” but she knows what she really is: a monster. When Ruby is entrusted with an explosive secret, she must embark on her most … dangerous mission yet: leaving the Children’’s League behind. Crucial information about the disease that killed most of America’’s children — and turned Ruby and the others who lived into feared and hated outcasts — has survived every attempt to destroy it. But the truth is only saved in one place: a flashdrive in the hands of Liam Stewart, the boy Ruby once believed was her future — and who now wouldn’t recognize her. As Ruby sets out across a desperate, lawless country to find Liam — and answers about the catastrophe that has ripped both her life and America apart — she is torn between old friends and the promise she made to serve the League. Ruby will do anything to protect the people she loves. But what if winning the war means losing herself?

Had no right to do Jude like that but it was good had me on my toes i didn’t even predict what could happen it was an amazing book
omg I first read the book at my local library and now I just want to keep reading it over and over again!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I did not finish this read and stopped at 60% of the way through.
The first book in this series was good, but not great, so I had some reservations going into this one. I guess I should’ve trusted that hesitant feeling.
Continuing on from the first book, Ruby is now working with The Children’s League on missions. She hates it …
The follow up to The Darkest Minds was amazing. I found myself easily diving right back into the world that Bracken had created.
In this edition, we get to see how Ruby is faring with The Children’s League but we also get to see some familiar faces. In addition to that, we get to know some new people. I really like Jude and even though she’s a …

For the most part, I enjoyed this book. It had much of the fast-paced intensity of the first book, though the stakes were …
Great series!
I couldn’t stop listening to the first book so I jumped right into this one. I have to say the story in this book wasn’t quite as good though I did generally still enjoy it. The first book connected with me at a deeper emotional level. This one didn’t quite reach it though it had its moments. overall still a worthwhile read.
A must read second of a trilogy.
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I bought the whole series in paperback, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!
The new cover is much better in my opinion. It grabs my attention better.
This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is a …
