♥ A sexy scientist♥ A nearsighted wallflower♥ A matchmaking mama♥ A Royal Society ball♥ Steamy romance!
Another irresistible romance featuring New York Times bestselling author Lauren Royal’s “outrageously funny, loyal, compassionate, and unconventional” Chase family!
The Ashcroft family motto is “Question Convention,” and eldest sister Lady Violet agrees with the sentiment completely. For one … with the sentiment completely. For one thing, she’s not planning to marry. Plain Violet is smart enough to realize any suitors would be after her large inheritance, or else interested in her beautiful younger sisters—and she’d much rather spend her time reading her beloved books than risking her tender heart…
Ford Chase, the Viscount Lakefield, has never spent much time around children…until he finds his young niece dropped in his lap. Although five-year-old Jewel is adorable, she’s also an annoying, unwelcome distraction from his scientific pursuits. Lucky for Ford, the matchmaking matriarch next door comes to his rescue—by sending her uncommonly intelligent daughter Violet to help…

I enjoyed the characters, storyline, always sad when the story ends!
I really enjoyed the references to inventors and scientists of the era.
very very good
I liked it
I just thoroughly enjoyed it.
Character are believiabe and descriptions are adaquate. Ford is different from the run of the mill hero. Violet is in many ways typical of romantic characters but the whole of her family makes the story interesting. I thought perhaps Violet’s father would assist in reclaiming the garden.
Very entertaining and informative; somewhat funny
As always, Lauren comes through with an entertaining romance between unlikely subjects. Violet’s family is delightfully eccentric, especially her father. I liked this well enough to read all the books in the series immediately.
It was a fun read and consistent with the historical period of the Restoration. A nice break from daily news
There were a number of twists to this thing so you were really not sure what would happen in the end.
This was very enjoyable. you love both characters.
I enjoyed this book. She always writes great books.
A bit predictable but a fun read.
An absolute top notch romance novel. While it can be a bit pat and convenient it’s hilarious and hot and delightful.
Enjoyed re-reading “Violet.” Good story, and easy read. This is an older book I checked out of our local library a few years ago.
Wonderful characters with realistic family dynamics, love comes thru with family members frank comments. Best seduction I’ve read in months. Couldn’t wait to get back to this book each time life interfered
Good book.enjoyed it.
Never Doubt a Viscount, by Lauren Royal. This romance novel was a smash hit with me. Lauren Royal did an excellent job at catching my attention with the chaotic entertainment that transpires throughout the book. I found the book very easy to read. I definitely enjoyed the humor between all of the characters, especially the children, Jewel, Rowan …
I just love all the facts sprinkled into this story! With inventions and famous people popping up all over, I couldn’t get enough of this book!
Writing style is easy to read, and her stories are enjoyable.
