The truth about what happened in 1949 went to Paul Fischer’s grave…. Too bad his body didn’t!
Advertising copywriter Leigh Koslow doesn’t pack heat — just a few extra pounds. And she doesn’t go looking for trouble. When she moved into her cousin Cara’s refurbished Victorian house, she wasn’t planning on discovering a corpse — certainly not one that had been embalmed ten years before. But as … But as anyone in the small Pittsburgh borough of Avalon could tell her, her cousin’s house has a history attached. A history dating back to two mysterious deaths in the summer of 1949.
Someone wants Leigh and Cara out of the house — someone who has something to hide. But that someone doesn’t know Leigh’s impetuous cousin, and when Cara digs her heels in, Leigh looks to her old college chum, local policewoman Maura Polanski, for help. But the answers the trio find only point to more questions. Were the scandalous deaths of fifty years ago really an accident and a suicide? Or were they murder?
The nearer the women get to the truth, the more desperate someone becomes. Because some secrets are better off kept. Especially when they hit close to home!

The 1st book in the Leigh Koslow mystery series!
The first book in the series. I laughed myself silly!
2nd time I’ve reviewed this book
Awesome book
Never Buried is my second book by Edie Claire. It is more of the first book. I love her characters and their humanness. The protagonist is interesting, she is always assessing situations, looking at how things may or may not go so well. The person who is threatening the protagonist and her family has their own issues. Again the antagonist is …
I enjoyed reading this book. It has a great plot and kept me reading it in one sitting. I enjoyed the character’s. I will want to read more from this series.
Solving a 50 year old murder can be hazardous to your health! Leigh is staying with her cousin Cara who is having a difficult pregnancy. One morning a corpse turns up in the back yard–let the sleuthing begin!
This was an enjoyable read. I liked the characters and the plot kept me turning the pages. The murderer was a surprise as well. I …
I decided to re-read the beginning of this series, since it had been so long and I wanted to read the last couple of books. It was fun reading them all over again. I read a lot while traveling and these were the best books to do that with. I enjoy the two main characters Leigh Koslow and her cousin/”sister from another mister” Cara. Nice mix …
Plan to read the entire series
I love to read series and this one was just the beginning. Believable characters and entertaining plots.
When I discovered this series I ran out and got ALL the books. Read them back to back. Marvelous cozy series with a nice hometown feel.
Did not seem realistic; a very unusual plot development.
Never Buried Never Buried was an easy read and perfect for airplane travel where you have lots of distractions. My reason for fewer than five stars is that it felt predictable and like a “formula” novel. I don’t regret that I read it so it still gets four stars.
This book sucks ass
Great cozy mystery to be solved by 2 cousins with some twists and turns but quite enjoyable and easy reading.
I really enjoyed this author’s book. It is very entertaining and puzzling.
A little slow at the start, after chapter 2 it picked up and the story held my interest. I enjoyed the main characters — Leigh Koslow and her friend Cara. I don’t recall though, how or where the murderer kept the body for years.
I guess I read too many hard core spy/detective books to give this a higher rating. I enjoyed the story line and it gave me a chance to read an author I have never read before.
Good read. Likable characters.
I really enjoyed this one! The characters were interesting and the answer was a surprise for me. It is not as contrived as many cozies. I just ordered all the rest!
quite a page turner, enjoyed the read
