I’m an anxious nerdy girl living in a turbulent world.* * We’re in the midst of a pandemic. I live with my family in our cramped apartment where privacy comes at a premium. May is going to be one heck of a meltdown. To top it off, I’ve been crushing on my boss and used a dating app to get over him. I was supposed to meet my online date for the first time when the city put a shelter in place … in place order, and now…we have a Skype date to meet for the very first time. I’m pretty sure I’m going to die a virgin before this thing ends.

It’s the end of my world as I know it, and I still haven’t figured out if I feel fine.
This is a story about hope, family, and finding love. Though the events are real, I’m sensitive to the topic and promise a HEA we all need to escape.

Dating during a worldwide medical pandemic and lockdown – however will that work? A quick read with captivating and current story line that is well written, fast pace, well developed, emotionally deep, funny, and engaging. The characters are sweet and you will love and root for them; the chemistry between them is amazing even from a distance. A recommended read!

Very cute short romance about finding love during the 2020 pandemic.
Laurel has been texting with a guy she met via an online app and has a date to meet him in real life when the stay-at-home ruling goes in effect for New York. She lives in a tiny apartment with her mother, sister and young niece. Donovan is the owner of the company she works AND the guy she has been texting with and he knows (because she is using a company phone). During the pandemic they have an online romance which I really enjoyed. It really is an ‘introvert’ romance 🙂
The ending seemed a bit rushed and I was left with questions. Plus I had hoped for some extra love scene or something…. after all the build-up.
But overall a nice and cute story to keep you going during these times. Never read this author before but will check out her backlist for sure! (2020)
This book was everything I needed during this pandemic. Sweet, hopeful and relevant. The characters are awesome and in addition to the romance, the struggles they face daily are things we’re all feeling right now. Definitely recommend.

This is a such a sweet and fun story!
Laurel and Donava are such a cute couple, I immediately fell in love with them. Their dialogue had me smiling all the way through. And I really appreciated how the author incorporated the current pandemic situation into the story. It made it all the more realistic and relatable. A really fun read and I enjoyed it very much and look forward to reading more by this author.

How to find love in a pandemic when you are locked down……….technology to the rescue
Never Been Kissed by M.C. Cerny is a sweet and quirky novella about finding love in this age of social media, technology and a pandemic. The story is about Laurel and Van, both are nice and lovable characters that you would want as your friends. Their love story is one of using texts and technology for online dating to get to know each other before they meet in person. But even though the distance they still have a connection that is sweet and sexy.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I liked this story. It was entertaining and so sweet. The characters were interesting and likable (for the most part). Lavender really annoyed me and I wanted to smack her upside the head more than once.

There are plenty of feels with this book. I cracked up, cringed, and cheered at different parts. The way Laurel finds out who she’s been talking to through the dating app was funny but not funny if you know what I mean. Funny cause it didn’t happen to me, but not funny imagining myself in her shoes. I loved all of the “dates” they had while practicing social distancing. I wish there was an epilogue further out so we could get more of a glimpse of how things go once the quarantine is lifted. I recommend reading this sweet book.

This was a great short read where I wanted more! Being shy and inexperienced she has had a crush on her boss. She meets a guy online but they are quarantined therefore can not meet in person. But when they finally see each other, by way of computer, she is surprised to see it is her boss. He does not want to pressure her into anything. When they are out of quarantine can they still continue to date or will it fall apart? I thought it was a great story.

Laurel and Van are cute and it gives us a different view into how a romance can blossom in the midst of a pandemic. They get to know each other better virtually before they actually become physical. I just wish there would have been a more physical scene and a little more at the end.

Laurel is s sweet girl who decides to give online dating a try. Van is attracted to Laurel but suddenly they are quarantined because of a virus. I love how creative they get with their online dating. It’s a sweet love that gets steamy. A great quarantine love story.

Very cute and very tender
It’s a very sweet story based on the growing attraction between two people who cannot meet physically because of the lockdown. The story is good, but a little too nice for me and without real reversal.
Laurel has a connection with a man she met on an app, but when she has to meet him for real, everyone ends up confined to their home. She does not know that it is her boss for whom she has a crush, so, when she understands who he is with Facetime, she must decide if she tries or if she abandons any idea of relationship with him

I just finished reading Never Been Kissed, and it was just so damn good. It was new, relevant, witty as hell, complex, and so funny with everything going on in the world, this book brought me so much joy and reading pleasure I just couldn’t put this book down at all. One of my favourites by this author and of 2020. M. C. Cerny thank you for this story. Loved it. Can’t wait to read more of her books when they come out. Happy reading everyone!!
Laurel Murphy is living in a small apartment with her mother, sister and niece. At work, she has a crush on her boss, Donovan Ward, enjoying that she can at least watch him. But she signs up on a dating app and met Van. They have been texting each other and are finally ready to meet face-to-face. Timing is everything, however, and the pandemic arrived, shutting down everything for an unknown amount of time. So the two of them continue their “dates” through online texting.
Donovan had already figured out the identity of his online date. Laurel works for him, and it makes things worse for him because he knows her and worries about her. When Laurel wants to use Face-time so they can meet and see each other, she will find out her boyfriend is her boss Donovan. But they have been getting to know each other all this time and they continue their nightly dates, falling in love more and more. By the time they are ready to go back to work, what will they do? Will their relationship end? Or will they take it to the next level and get the HEA waiting for them?
Living in a small apartment with her mom, sister and niece has many disadvantages. That’s why Laurel looks forward to going to work during the week. It also helps that she sees her gorgeous boss Donovan on a daily basis. But when the city is forced to go into quarantine & her little piece of heaven is gone, she at least has Van, a guy she met on a dating app, to talk to. She loves their daily conversations and can’t wait to finally meet him.
Van can’t believe he’s quarantined at home, unable to go to work. Not being able to catch glimpses of Laurel is dampening his spirits, but at least he’s in constant communication with her. Now he just has to figure out how to let her know his real identity. Oh and that he’s fallen in love with her.
I love the romantic things Van thought of to bring smiles on her face. This was a cute story about two people navigating through a different type of dating style during a world pandemic and making the most out of being quarantined.
After reading this book, I can understand the dynamic of the story. Finally meeting someone and and sharing a special moment can be heartwarming or tragic. Must reads this book to find out more!

Love through pandemic and apps!
by Happy-Girl
I loved this book! It’s fresh and delightful.
Reading this novel, I felt like when I was younger searching for my soulmate.
You’ll find that males and females could have the same dreams and the same insecurities when you think about love.
The goal is the same; the plot is so actual: in this pandemic, we look for love with the help of an app and you could find out that the perfect person for you is just in front of you!!! Your boss! Your shy employee!
I really recommend this book if you’re a true romantic inside!

This was just too stinkin’ cute for words. I loved the idea of Laurel and Van getting to know one another is such an old-fashioned way using all the modern technology to facilitate it. I also really liked the sweetness of how it plays out against the backdrop of such a dark time in our modern history. I admit, I’m greedy. I wanted even more. It’s a short read, so it felt a little rushed in places, and I would have loved to get to know the people behind their screens better.

Enjoyed this book it was about laurel and van meeting on a dating app. Only to find out he is her boss bit because of the pandemic they couldn’t actually date so they got to know each other thru text and face time. When the pandemic was over they finally got to actually touch and hug
Ended with a happy ended
Laurel is very shy and always has put her family first. She lives in a small apartment in Brooklyn with her mother, sister, & niece. She works as a graphics designed and has a crush on her boss. Monday as she meets her friend Tess as they are head into work she finds out about the pandemic. Laurel has not been keeping up with the news. Donavan the boss that Laurel has the crush on is having to send his employees home due to the pandemic. Laurel is crushed because of the stays at home order the city has mandated. She has to finally agree to meet the guy she has been talking too online by the name of Van. As the story unfolds M.C. Cerny gives us a funny and surprising story of two people who meet each other during this pandemic. Now maybe we can get an extended epilogue into their future hint hint .
