Tennant Rowe has it all, a boyfriend he adores, a loving family, and a career on the rise. He’s sure of his place in the world, and the future can only get brighter. Then one night, in a flash of skates and sticks, life changes forever. Getting back on the ice is Ten’s priority, and experts tell him that it’s just a matter of time. Jared watches his lover fall in more ways than one, and when … and when tragedy strikes, even the strongest of relationships are tested. Ten is strong, but Jared has to be stronger to help the man who holds his heart. Only, he has to admit that maybe it isn’t just him who can make Ten whole again.
Jared and Ten’s love is forever, but the rocky path to the romantic Christmas Jared had planned may be hard to travel.

There will be absolutely no spoilers in this review!! I will just say Mads and Ten….they were the perfect couple for a Christmas book!! There will be tears, there will be laughter, there will be sighs and there will be that facial expression of WOW!! These ladies did an amazing job with their words bringing out all the feels!! You don’t want to miss this one!!!! I’d give it hundreds of stars if they would let me!! #Railers #MadsTen
This is book seven in the series, and they should be read in order. In Goal Line, Ten was injured, not just injured but almost killed. Now he is struggling to be the person he was before. When he goes off to Arizona to get the best rehab for his injuries, Ten is a bit of a mess, he misses his home, and most of all he misses Jared. Jared knows that this is the best thing for Ten, but god knows if his man said he needed him, he would be on a plane in a heartbeat. With the promise of a few weeks together at Christmas, the two strive to stay connected during this separation. Jared had made all the plans to ask Ten a very important question at Christmas.. now he has to decide if its even fair to ask him while he still healing. Will Jared ask that question, or will he put it off for now?
This was a cute novella, that gets us back in touch with Ten and Jared. Letting us see just how they are after all the drama from the last book, and the headspaces they are both in. A bit heartbreaking in a few parts, a steamy part or two, and lots of love that radiates from the pages, I give this 4 stars.
4.5 stars
This made me FEEL. I always have a soft spot for the first couple in a series and Ten and Mads just make me so happy! My heart broke for Ten at the end of the last book and I just needed him to be okay and back to his normal self. This book gave me all of the emotions and a perfect ending that promises everything I want for Ten and Mads. This story is heartfelt and sweet and I cannot wait to revisit Stan and Erik in the next book!

Another great read to the series. It’s a heartfelt holiday story with Ten and Jarod dealing with Ten’s injury. The author brings a string of emotions .. laughter , tears and a lot of feels. It’s a short story , is well written , flows smoothly and I loved reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
What a great addition to the Harrisburg Railers series. In this story we get to revisit the first couple in this series, Ten and Mads. This was an amazing story and a must read for anyone who has enjoyed this series so far. I can’t wait for the next story in this series.
This holiday themed novella is the seventh in the series and not a stand alone. You need to have read either the previous book (I didn’t) or Ryker (which I did).
It’s Christmas and Ten is temporarily home from rehab after a head injury. He and Jared are trying to make the most of their time together.
It’s on the sweet and loving side, with a nice happy surprise ending.
I loved this. I was a little worried about the relationship after reading the blurb, but my fears were unfounded.
Tennant and Jared went through a lot to achieve their happy ending, then Ten was severely injured during a game. Now, each must push through fears and time apart to get their lives and their romance back on track.
I love these characters, and I found it impossible not to smile and hurt along with them. Ten’s determination and Jared’s worry are so real they come off the page (or Kindle screen) to smack the reader in the feels.
This is one of my favorite series, and this book is a fantastic addition. I can’t wait to see more of this couple in the next book, which will focus again on Stan and Erik. I recommend this series with all my heart!
I totally loved Neutral Zone. I love revisiting characters from a previous story in the series and of course Tennant and Jared are just so likable. This is one time I think although you don’t have to read Goal Line (the last book in Harrisburg Railers series) I recommend reading it. And if you plan to read the Owatanna U Hockey series, first book Ryker, I would read it first too.
I liked that it wasn’t all pretty, you got to see Ten and Jared deal with a very serious injury. It was still a Christmas story full of family and love. But I liked that the pace had to slow down as Ten’s injury was slowing him down. This was definitely more story for Ten and Jared, I love that. I love Christmas stories, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. I absolutely recommend it!
This was a great short story. It takes place after Ten’s accident. He is working in getting better. It also affects Jared especially not being with Ten during his recovery. But things are good and as always they come out stronger.

I loved this installment of the Railers! We find out how Ten is doing and how Jared is handling him being injured and working towards recovery. Jared is over protective but finally realizes that Ten knows what he can and cannot do. Very well written addition to the series. Cannot wait to see what happens with Stan and Erik adopting!

Ahhh I love these guys so. Freaking. Much. This novella picks up after the, er, unfortunate events of the last Railers book and Ryker.. and I admit, I was nervous going into this. I have been a huge Ten fan since the beginning of this series, and what happened hurt my heart. But this novella? Wonderful.
It is difficult to see Ten struggle so much with things that most of us take for granted and to see how strained Jared is with everything going on, but this story is full of hope and healing and love and family and friends, and it is exactly what I needed. No matter what struggles they go through, Ten and Jared’s love and devotion to each other shine. I smiled a lot through this book. Also maybe shed a tear or two, but what can I say? These guys, and these authors, give me all the feels. And Stan is a GEM. Seriously, he is amazing, and I cannot wait for his and Erik’s novella!
So good to find out how Ten and Jared are doing.
In my review of Goal Line (Harrisburg Railers #6) I said I thought it might be the last book in the series; I’ve never been so happy to be wrong!
Neutral Zone is a wonderful Christmas gift for fans of the Harrisburg Railers series. It’s a quick but very satisfying story to read. Ten is in rehab and hates being away from Jared. Jared has a surprise for Ten but isn’t sure this is the right time to give it to him.
It seems like RJ and V.L. always know the right buttons to push to make me cry while reading one of their co-authored books. This is actually a good thing as it means I really love the story.
If you are a fan of the Harrisburg Railers series you can’t miss this story. It was so good to check in on all of the guys, especially Ten, Jared and Stan. I was also thrilled to learn that there are more books coming!
An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Love this short story about Ten healing. The love and strength shown by Mad in supporting him to do what’s needed.
This is a feel good, loving family and friends story of injury and recovery. A story of the love of family and friends, we should all be so blessed to be loved by so many.

A star player who takes a hard hit on the ice – without his helmet.
A defensive coach, who was terrified that the man he loves is hurt worse than being dead.
A team, and a family, that stand behind them both.
Therapy is hard – and trying to hold conversations when the words sometimes just float away – hugely difficult.
An insightful glance at traumatic brain injury caused by sports injuries.
A sweet love story.
An awesome combo!

This is a follow-up to book 6 in the series (Goal Line) and it’s Ten and Jared’s struggles as hard decisions are made. Ten is determined to return to the ice and Jared has to take a step back as Ten gets the treatment he needs but the distance it puts between them is heartbreaking. This is a holiday read that really hits you in the feels.
This is a must read for anyone who loves this series.

5 out of 5 stars!!!!
Oh be still my heart! Tennant Rowe has had my heart from the beginning of this series and this story just cemented his place there forever! (And Jared has a soft spot right next to him, too.)
As soon as this book hit my Kindle I was on it! This series of standalones is one of my favorites I’ve ever read and this quick holiday novella proved why. The couples are so perfectly matched. The friends so honest. The “extras” so special. One of my favorite “extras” was a girl in a jewelry shop. She didn’t have a big role, but her role felt so very special!!!
Honestly, the emotions were high in this book, but I still laughed out loud a few times – especially when Stan appeared! These hockey guys melt my heart and I’m so glad I get the chance to read all about them!

I have been impatiently waiting for this book to come out. One might even say….extremely …but what can I say? I love Ten and Mads and all the Railers and their partners and NEED to read about them a.s.a.p.
It’s so hard to read about a character you have grown to love, have to deal with everything Ten has had to since the tragic event on the ice. Watching his boyfriend Mads try to be strong for him as well as Ten’s family and the team. For Mads things get to be overwhelming and he has to draw a new line and let out how he is feeling about it all.
Watching, and I do mean that, as with the amazing writing I can visualize what is written, Ten go through rehab, fight for some words and try to get back both physically and mentally to where he was before, at times was hard to do. Several times I teared up while reading his and Mads story. For both Ten and Mads have to deal with the end results of what happened to Ten.
The love these two share…the commitment and dedication to each other and their future, both as partners but Railers as well, is so beautiful to see. The way Tens family and teammates rally around these two men..wow.
We get to see quite a few of the men from the series of books and Ryker and his Jacob also make an appearance.
That is all you are getting out of me. You MUST read this book and make sure to have tissues handy because you will need them at certain points.
To say I loved this story is a HUGE understatement.
Always remember…Love Is Love!
I love when authors write novellas to get a look at where the characters are after their happily ever after. In this case we needed to see how Ten faired after his accident on the ice and we got to see more of Ten and Jared’s happily ever after.
Love knows no bounds and when Ten has to fight through a massive brain injury not only will his strength and stamina be tested but his hopes and dreams may or may not happen. But through good times and bad Jared never is too far away, pushing him to overcome obstacles. The love that these two men share is heart warming. But once Ten comes back to the ice will Jared fears overrun the comeback? Or will a new development happen that only pushes them closer together? This might be a short novella but it certainly packs a punch – I love this series!!
