Can Nessie find the mysterious visitor? An illustrated picture book about friendship and tolerance.
This is a beautifully illustrated book for children bringing another tale about this wonderful monster! We all need a holiday sometimes but Nessie finds things are so different from her home and so are the locals. This wonderful story teaches children that we are all different but it is good to accept those differences. A wonderful read just waiting for your child.

I read this to my daughter and she loved it. I loved that it had some info on climate change that kids can understand.
I have enjoyed this authors books until now. And this one is cute. However it has undertones of promoting climate change in it. I have over looked a very secular approach to things like Christmas and such because you do not have to be Christian to celebrate holidays. But I am not about teaching children the climate change stuff. They have been spouting this in different forms for years. I have seen numerous versions of it in my life. Wobbling from getting colder to getting hotter and all over the place. So if you want to read your child a book that teaches them in a very slight way about climate change then go for it. If you don’t want your child learning falsehoods about climate change this book is not for you. As such this will be the last childrens book I review for this author since I cannot say something better about it.

Another Sweet Tale About Nessie
I had read the previous book by this author about Nessie finding out about human Christmas traditions. So I thought it would be fun to check out this next book as well. As before, I found this book to be delightful. The author has managed to imbue Nessie with quite the personality. In this one, she decides to go on holiday in the ocean, and she meets a new friend. Parts of this book were very funny, like when she first tasted salty seawater. Even the illustration of that was really cute. I like how this author includes mini activities on many of the pages, like counting seagulls or asking questions like if the reader would like algae shortbread or what would they write to Nessie on a postcard. I did catch one error. In the text, the phrase “ice floes” was correct; however, on the illustration, it was written as “ice floats.” Besides that, I found this to be a charming book that I imagine a child would enjoy.
I received a free copy of this book, but that di not affect my review.
Come along with Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, on a holiday adventure in the North Sea.
A simple, relatable and engaging picture book for little children to enjoy at bedtime, story time, any time!
You will enjoy Isla Wynter’s newest tale.
I was given this delightful children’s book as a complimentary ARC from Booksprout and my opinions are my own.
A great book to introduce children to the great problem we have in our hands: global warming. Nessi teaches us about the problems the animals leaving in the sea have. They get lost, they get hot, they get hungry and everything changes in their lives. We need to tell the children about this so we can do something together to try to help keep our planet safe.
