Two people from completely different worlds are about to be thrown together…
In more ways than one.
She wants to keep her scholarship. He wants to stay on the team. An awkward alliance doesn’t even begin to cover Rimmel and Romeo’s relationship.
But that’s about to change.
It starts with a dare. An initiation. A challenge.
Quickly, it turns into more. But when you’re a victim of your … But when you’re a victim of your status, there is no room for anything real. The rules are clear and simple.
Stick to your circle.
And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

I loved this book! This story is so well written!
I really enjoyed Rimmel and Roman love story. It’s interesting, funny, sweet, sexy and romantic. Rimmel and Roman are from opposite circles and couldn’t be more different. Popular, hot and extremely sociable opposed shyness, introverted and unappealing appearance. However both are able to see in one another beyond that and find beauty, goodness and understanding.
Love the plot, the characters and the whole story that is wonderfully written.
The football king of the campus is knocked over by the studious loner.
Really good seroes.

This story is the arch typical nerd vs popular romance story, but what makes it stand out is that it tells the plot from both point of views. This is what hooks you so well into liking the characters. I look forward to the next book.
“#Nerd” was an interesting story of love between young people from different environments. I enjoyed the progression of maturity and love.
Because of the way “#Nerd” ended, I was surprised that the second book (“#Hater”) is a continuation of Rimmel’s and Romeo’s story. The overview did not mention a continuing saga. Thank goodness “#Nerd” had a HEA. I may not be able to read “#Hater” in the near future.
*5 Stars*
I remember seeing plenty of talk about this book when it was first released, and its been on my TBR list ever since. Now that I’m using more of my time to get back to my own reading, over constant blogging sign ups, I’m so glad I picked this one out of my purchased books on my kindle.
Whilst the trope of the dare to get someone into bed isn’t new, it still holds a lot of appeal. It took me a while to warm up to Romeo, because he just comes across so arrogant and sure of himself. Typical jock popular guy I guess. The whole college things is always interesting to me as well, because schooling is different here in Australia. I liked Rimmel, and found she was very easy to connect to. Once I got to know them both, I liked the way this was heading.
For the most part this was a really fun and easy read. Whilst it does have its more serious moments, its a very easy read, and I really enjoyed it. Getting to know these characters was fun, and I want to know more about the secondary characters as well. I enjoyed the fact that there was no unnecessary angst in this either.
I definitely want to read more of this series, and recommend this book.
I love this book so much and recommend it to any and everyone that enjoys reading New Adult
I can’t believe I just found this book! I loved it. A beautiful story about the hot jock quarterback and the little shy nerd girl. Throw them together for some tutoring and watch the firework explode. I fell in love with Rimmel immediately, I felt like her and I would be great friends in real life. Romeo took a bit longer to love, I was always teetering back and forth between if he was in it for real or for the chase. He finally won me over. This book was so good I couldn’t put it down! Angsty, but so romantic, you could feel the love off the pages.
I have really enjoyed the entire series!! Great reads, quick and unique to each relationship and situation. Frequently, I see a writing trend in an author and every relationship follows it somehow — but that is NOT the case!! The author did an amazing job applying every character and their personalities to the relationship(s).
I listened in the Audible unlimited package 🙂

This is a reread for me. Back in the day I only rated book but now review them. So here goes…
Loved it, again! The plot and characters are awesome!
I hated Romeo in the beginning but I warm up to him in the end. I’m glad he doesn’t let the “popular” crowd worm their way into controlling his life. He’s courageous and totally smitten when it comes to Rimmel.
Poor Rimmel, I feel so bad for her. Outcast and always feeling like she is never wanted. I’m glad she starts to open her wings and fly a little. Confidence looks good on her.
Loved the drama. It will totally keep you on the edge of your seat.
I can’t wait to go onto the next book. This series is fantastic, even for a 2nd time read.

Meet Rimmel. Future veterinarian. #Nerd. She has been given a “job” to maintain her scholarship, and she is not pleased. She must tutor Roman Anderson three days a week in the school’s library. The college football star is failing and everyone is freaking out. He is the best of the best and they can’t afford to lose him this season. Being socially-awkward and standoffish, Rimmel has her work cut out for her. Getting through to Mr. Perfect isn’t going to be easy.
Enter Romeo. Quarterback. #Sexonastick. He had been putting so much effort into football and rushing for the frat, Omegas, that his grades had plummeted. He isn’t thrilled about studying in the library every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but he would do it. Although, Rimmel was definitely a surprise. He never knew someone so clumsy and nerdy could be so intriguing. When the Omegas involve her in a challenge Romeo must complete to join the frat, he is all game. It gets harder and harder to complete the quest when he starts to learn about the girl with the wild hair and frumpy clothes. Can he really do that to her?
“You asked me why I’m here,” he murmured, leaning in so he was so close his lips brushed mine as he spoke. “This is why I’m here, Rimmel. Can’t you feel it too?”
I read a review that said that this book would be awesome as a movie and I agree! It actually made me think of One Tree Hill – only with football instead of basketball. Nathan and Haley, anyone? #couplegoals
This was so super close to being a 5 star book for me. The only thing that brought it down a few notches was that it was so predictable. I kept waiting for Cambria to sneak in a shocking moment or twisty-turn, but it never happened. |sad face| Overall, it was a sugary sweet and ridiculously cute read. If that is your cuppa, then this book is for you.
Blog
This is my first book by Ms Hebert, but I really love the plot outline, though it’s a bit cliche, A nerd and a hot jock, deeply fall in love with each other, but I promise you there’s more to it.
Ever since I’m a sucker of sport romance troope, either it’s a high school or college, and I really enjoy how the relationship between main characters build up within the book series, how they become more trusting with one another. How they face a one heck of a problem and how strong and tight their love grow, and how they overcome everything.
This book is a perfect epitome of it, and so far Romeo and rimmel is one of my fave couple.
I totally chose to read this book because of its title. No shame.
I’m a book nerd so when I saw this book was called #NERD I couldn’t help but want to read it. And I ended up loving it.
Forced to tutor the university football star, Rimmel stumbles into a life she thought would never happen.
After being assigned to a tutor during rush, Roman gets a series of challenges from his desired fraternity, but the one challenge that could seal his spot in the frat becomes something he never bought he wanted until it was right in front of him.
An unlikely romance that is threatened.
This book was just fabulous. Definitely one of my top favorites for sure now. I love how two people who are complete opposites are brought together and end up falling for each other, despite what others think about them. Though there are some who want to bring them a part because they should “stick with their circles” I love how Romeo is determined to show Rimmel how he doesn’t care what people think because she’s it for him.
Total swoon-worthy.
At first I did not think I was going to like Rimmel because she seemed too timid and a little awkward, but as i kept reading I began to love her and her nerdiness because, HELLO, she is literally just like me. Mess of hair and all lol.
If you haven’t read this book, you should definitely give it a shot, because you won’t be disappointed!
#Nerds unite!
I absolutely adored #NERD by Cambria Hebert! I don’t know if it was the way Rimmel stayed true to herself or the fact that Romeo followed his heart instead of what was popular. Hebert wove a fantastic world that made my inner-nerd rejoice. #Nerd is a great beach read, and I can’t wait to devour the rest of the series.
Rimmel was pretty much me in college (if I was super skinny and wore huge glasses). I identified with her in so many ways, and I loved her love story with Romeo.
The main character in this book reminded me a lot of myself. Of course with a title like #Nerd, me being a nerd, that was pretty obvious. Honestly the way the story started out, I really didn’t want to like Romeo, but he totally grew on me. The thing that happened in Rimmel’s past was definitely something that would make someone feel the way she does. I loved that the roommate situation with Romeo was handled in the way it was. You did have a really bad guy, and honestly, there was really no way to redeem him. He really was just a bad guy. I still don’t know if by the end of the book I could understand just why the guy hated Romeo so much. Romeo turned out to be a great guy, even if our first real introduction to him included a blowjob in the library with a random girl when he was supposed to be getting tutored by Rimmel. 🙂 And I love his best friend, who I’ll talk about even more in my mini-review of book 2 coming up after this one.
#NerdsRule
I loved the feel of this book. It reminded of the movie “She’s All That.” Rimmel is a nerd who keeps to herself. She’s on scholarship at Alpha U studying to be a veterinarian. The Dean tells her she needs to tutor the football star, Roman “Romeo” Anderson in order to keep her scholarship. Romeo is the quarterback of the Wolves and a real player. Rimmel is so not his type. What starts as an initiation dare becomes so much more. The #BuzzBoss is funny and makes a great addition to each chapter. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the #Hashtag series.
Typical college story. Very well written. Both characters ha e a depth to them that makes you like them straight away.
Loved it read the whole series!
