Two people from completely different worlds are about to be thrown together…
In more ways than one.
She wants to keep her scholarship. He wants to stay on the team. An awkward alliance doesn’t even begin to cover Rimmel and Romeo’s relationship.
But that’s about to change.
It starts with a dare. An initiation. A challenge.
Quickly, it turns into more. But when you’re a victim of your … But when you’re a victim of your status, there is no room for anything real. The rules are clear and simple.
Stick to your circle.
And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

Amazing series. The characters are so relatable you will fall in love.
I got so hooked on this series. It was one that kept me turning pages and I was so happy that there was always another book to dive into. I loved the fun world of Alpha U and all the campus drama that filled the pages. I laughed and cried and fell in love with these flawed, yet relatable characters. It really brought me back to the crazy days of college and why so many incredible bonds are forged there. And can I just say Rome is to die for. I love his wit and swagger, not to mention his ability to make you swoon. This is a series I think I’ll read again and again.
I recommend it to anyone who likes books like, The Summer Boyfriend (The Boyfriend Series Book 8) and Gossip Girl
Ugh! I loved this book so much! The cover is awesome and the story is fast paced and dynamic. I never once lost interest and loved the little #BuzzBoss updates.
I can’t express how much I love this book. I have re-read it so many times. This is one of the best books I have read in some time. I would recommend to everyone to read it.
This book was hallmark channel, MTV anything, and your favorite high school rom-com (romantic comedy) all wrapped into one. Sorry if that sounds cheesy but it was all that and gave me all the feels. I read it in two days. Romeo was all american pretty boy jock with a little boy as spice. Rimmel (loved the name choice btw) was the small geeky girl no paid attention to unless she was falling over herself anything in her wake. Circumstances pull these two together and they both would like to deny it but there’s a odd chemistry happening. They fall prey to themselves, but will the outside world accept them together…well campus busy-body/gossip girl prodigy Buzzfeed aka BuzzBoss is gonna keep you up to date.
I enjoyed Rimmel and Romeo’s story so much I laughed, cussed, and teared up between these pages and loved every minute of it! #Hater here I come…
This was such a sweet and amazing contemporary romance. This was my first book by Cambria Hebert, and I fell in love with this author. I identified so much with the heroine Rimmel. She was shy and awkward, but altogether awesome in my opinion. And she just grows through the series. Romeo too was an amazing character. To be very honest, I did not love him straight away. It took me a while to warm up to him, but once I did, I was head over heels for him. I would urge every NA, sports romance, contemporary romance loving reader to give this book a chance.
#Love this #Nerd and her #Romeo!
I put this author in my 2nd blog post here with the title “My Top 5 Romance Authors,” so I read this book and series years ago. I devoured it and loved it within days. I was in a reading slump and needed a book that felt like comfort food. I still think about Romeo and Rimmel to this day, so I decided #Nerd was the book to read. I am so glad I did! I loved reading their love story again from the beginning. My feelings were just as strong this time as the first time. I identified with Rimmel so much, because I have felt like an outsider too. My heart was with her the whole time, and that’s due to this author’s ability to weave a story. I had forgotten that I got mad at Romeo at the beginning of this book, but I won’t tell you why! When he stepped up, I swooned and he became one of my Top Book Boyfriends of All Time that is a genuinely good guy. My love for this book and series will never go away; if you have never read this series, I implore you to try it! You won’t be sorry, and you’ll love them forever like I do!
*4.5*
In order to keep her scholarship, Rimmel is told she needs to tutor the quarterback aka campus player. Roman aka Romeo doesn’t want to fit in tutoring session into his social calendar but staying eligible to play football is his top priority. But when Romeo is forced to pay attention to Rimmel he sees that maybe football isn’t it top priority anymore.
I am not going to deny at first I didn’t like Romeo and I wasn’t sure he was going to redeem himself but he did. He totally redeemed himself. I think one of my favorite things about this book is that the talk, they communicate. It may take a page or two but they talk and holy moly is that refreshing. I loved that when Rimmel was struggling Romeo was there with exactly what she needed. I loved that Rimmel found her girls. I loved how Romeo’s team had Rimmel’s back. I loved how awkward Rimmel was and she owned it and didn’t try to be someone different. And I loved how that was exactly how Romeo loved her. I adore these two and I cannot tell you how excited I am that there are two more books for them.
I’ve had this book on my kindle for years but never read it because it was my understanding that it ended in a cliffhanger, and I really do try to avoid them when I can. However, when a book buddy tagged me in a Facebook group discussion of this book, I learned it wasn’t a cliffie. I was told it was a happy for now, so I jumped in.
I absolutely love nerdy, clumsy heroines and fiercely protective heroes. Rimmel and Roman fit those desires to a T. One of the things about Rimmel that set her apart from previous heroines of this nature was the fact that there was an underlying reason why she was the way she was. All the little clues that led to that revelation had me anxious to get it all. My heart belonged to her even before I had her backstory but learning it all made me hurt for her even as I cheered her onwards.
Romeo was not my favorite hero…in the beginning. His actions and activities were not the perfect hero after meeting the heroine and I was, and I’m still, disappointed by that. However, once he turned his full attention to Rimmel, he was pretty much all hers. He also shows some amazing moments of possessiveness that had me grinning because that’s like catnip to me.
While this was reported to end in a happy for now, it ends in such a way that the reader is more than satisfied. Yes, it does lack that epilogue that puts a bow on the story, but if I didn’t want to continue on with the next book, I could easily do so. All those years of ignoring this book was wasted because of this misunderstanding. Authors really need to #standalone their blurbs.
I love a good playboy turned devoted boyfriend trope, but I do struggle with it when you see the playboy actions after he meets the heroine and in vivid color. So for me, the first 40% of the book I did not enjoy. If I hadn’t read the description of Roman’s behavior after he falls for the heroine, I’m not even sure if I would have continued.
The good thing for me was that I read a book recommendation in a Facebook group that described Roman’s besotted state so I hung in there. It was completely worth it. He really did become all the things that would turn most girls mushy. For that alone, I ended up loving the book.
Rimmel, the heroine, was also a great character. She had a few cringworthy moments and I understand why she’s labeled a nerd. However, once you learn about some past trauma’s, you realize she isn’t a nerd at all. She was just hiding from life. I loved that she got the good side of Roman when he pulled his head out of ass.
I’ve heard this is a HFN ending and we do get more of this couple in the next few books. I am very happy about that because I want more than half a book of these two loving it up.
I absolutely loved this sexy jock and awkward nerd storyline. Their banter is witty and will hook you from the beginning and their chemistry electric and hold you until the end. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to start this series. I also loved the narration and highly recommended this read.
A very steamy romance between two people who can’t resist each other. Save this one for late nught reading!
Loved IT!!
Love the book
This book captured me within the first page of reading–I absolutely loved this book!
I had no idea that this was a multiple book storyline or I wouldn’t have bought it. This book was good enough but I can’t imagine prolonging it for 2 more books. Not interested in buying the other books
This book was awesome!! Must read!
Great book
Can I please give this more stars!!! Loved it
Good read about a nerd at college.
