I’ve got the brains, she’s got the body. If we come together, it could set our hearts and minds alight… Zelda Joyce is a Professor of English Literature. She can quote Shakespeare at the drop of a hat… but the language of love is another matter. When she discovers a clause in her father’s will saying she won’t inherit a penny unless she’s married, Zelda is stumped. Who would she propose to? The … propose to? The only person who she feels anything for is forbidden for so many reasons.
Kat Ball is 28 and has had a change of heart. She wants to stop working as a nightclub bouncer and start a degree in Sports. But going back to school means having to face textbooks, and when she runs into her sister’s old best friend Zelda, she remembers exactly why she hates reading so much… What she didn’t remember is how freaking hot Zelda is.
It’s just a shame it could never work between them because of Kat’s big secret.
But can what’s forbidden be fought?
A suspenseful lesbian marriage of convenience novel. Expect laughter, tears, lust and love.
Book 3 in the MARRIED FOR A MILLION series. It can be enjoyed as a STANDALONE with NO CLIFFHANGER and a HAPPY EVER AFTER to make your heart pound.

Our heroines have known each other for years, but never really knew each other. After a chance encounter brings them back together, that all starts to change.
This is a novella length FF romance story. The story is well written, easy to read and just awesome (bit of an in joke there that you will get after reading the story). The characters were great, well developed, distinct personalities with strengths and flaws. I loved how they approached things with honesty. They stumbled a few times along the way, but worked through it all to find their HEA. Overall, a fantastic read.
Highly recommended.

Kat is going back to school at twenty-eight-years-old. She has to deal with younger kids, the woman who destroyed her childhood, and a secret she has not told anyone.
Zelda is dealing with the death of her father when she looks across the funeral home and sees her former best friend’s little sister Kat who is definitely not “little” anymore. Zelda is a little forward with Kat and when she does not hear from her, she assumes that either she is not a lesbian or is jusst not interested.
Kat is absolutely shocked by Zelda’s behavior as Zelda destroyed her childhood. Then the shocks keep coming when she looks out a window on campus and there is Zelda again! Then she turns around and there is Zelda asking her out.
Time to confront this issue head on. Nothing is as it seems and time has gone by. Secrets come out, but there are people lurking in the shadows who have other plans for this couple in the making.
Annie Amos is becoming one of my go-to romance authors. Nerd Wife (2020) is the third book in the “Married for a Million” series and I want there to be thirty more books (laugh). This is not your typical enemies-to-lovers or professor-teacher romance. Zelda is not your usual “nerd” nor is Kat a stereotype.
Amos brings originality to both characters. There are also some surprises I did not see coming which was really nice. I do not want to give anything away so I will not say much more. There is cuteness, important issues, romance, betrayal, and “fun”. Amos brings it all and a playlist to go with it. Love it and her!

This is book number 3 in this series Zelda Joyce is a Professor of English Literature at a university in London she is fan of Shakespeare. But when it comes to love that is a completely foreign to her. But after her father dies and the will is read there is a clause in there that she won’t she her inheritance until she is married and what is supposed to do? But the person that she thinks of is completely off limits. Kat Ball is going back to school to get her degree in Sports and while there she runs into Zelda. Can Zelda and Kat put there past behind them and try to move forward with there feelings towards one other or will Zelda’s secret come in between them. Great read and truly enjoyed this book.
