“I will not let these boys ruin me.”
This is an angsty dirty escapist romance… sprinkled with a little true love happening… at its most delicious. It is my first book by this author and I enjoy her writing style enormously. It is emotional and cohesive. She writes dialogue extremely well…giving her characters a certain wit and charm. I was hooked with this first book in the “Twin Estates” series and immediately had to begin the second book.
The story begins with our heroine, Katya, growing into her career and life but feeling that her relationships with men, for the most part, have been unfulfilling. She also feels as if she has unwittingly placed herself into the “boring beige” category of good girls.
With coaxing from her best friend and wild-child roommate, Tori, Katya places her profile on a dating app. Without Katya’s knowledge, her roommate takes the liberty of spicing it up and soon she is inundated with attention from the opposite sex. She catches the eye of the owner of the building in which she resides, Liam, who also happens to own a sex club. Liam approaches her and because she feels challenged not only by him, but also in many ways, herself, she throws out her rule book and takes him up on his invitation to visit the sex club he owns with him. She shares a night of hard core raunchy sex with Liam that moves her straight out of the good girl column. In the process, she steals Liam’s heart or, so it seems.
Next up in Katya’s life is a surprise with a certainly brusque visit at her place of business from her girlhood crush, Wulfric Stone. He invites (commands) her to have dinner with him through his assistant no less. And so begins a relationship dynamic where she is fiercely attracted to Wulf and a little afraid of his overwhelming dominance. More precisely, she’s afraid of what Wulf might do to her heart.
For a moment we feel Katya suspended between the affections of Liam and Wulfric. Both men are described as gorgeous, rich and each with their own particular charm. Liam is the laid-back playboy who everyone loves instantly. Wulfric is the powerful, workaholic, dominating, no-nonsense real estate tycoon whose passions are stirring and deep…things that make a romance lover go Mmmmm.
As the story unfolds, it seems to be shaping up more and more as a love story between Katya and Wulfric. I love how the romance between Katya and Wulfric unfolds with happy coincidences, some hesitation and angst. Their erotic moments are thrilling and magnificent.
Just as the reader is lulled with all kinds of happy romantic breath-taking feels, a crazy AF twist turns everything on its ear. Thinking back over the read I kind of like that it isn’t a straight shot to happy town for Katya and Wulfric or…Katya and Liam for that matter.
A great beginning to a series for those who love a delightfully dirty and twisted romance…a romance, nevertheless!
“I want you to look at me in that way you do – like I’m everything,” he said in a simple voice. “I want to see that look every single day. When I wake up, when I go to sleep, all the time. I want to be the only man that gets to touch you, hold you, kiss you. I want you to know … know that I look at you the same way. Like you’re everything. You’re everything to me.”
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive.
This is a quote that popped into my head many times while rereading this book. It is definitely a reoccurring theme. Be prepared to have your mind blown by Stylo Fantome. She will turn the tables on you multiple times in this story. You will love and hate her for it. Trust me.
Tori updates her friend’s dating profile to insinuate that Katya is something she’s not. When Katya gets approached by an attractive stranger who happened to see said profile, she pretends to be something she isn’t. This leads her to do things on a first date that she never anticipated. Less than 24 hours later, she gets reunited with her childhood crush. Seeing two men at once was something the old Kayta would never do. She still has reservations about it, but both guys know that they aren’t exclusive. Liam, her attractive stranger, ended up being her neighbor. He was teaching her things that she could use to impress Wulf, her crush. She was having the time of her life… until she wasn’t.
Katya is stuck between two wonderfully different men. She has caught feelings for both, but her heart has fallen for one. She was torn on what to do. How would she ever let one go? It turns out not to be a difficult decision after all. That ending – WOW! It was just as powerful as the first time I read it. I cannot get over how people could do this to someone. As much as I loved Wulf, I can see him being apart of this. Liam, however, was a different story. It almost made me hate him. He was so nice, so caring. Either way, I am glad she left them both. They deserve to feel like a giant bucket of poo.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive.
After a lot of consideration, I am changing this from my previous rating of 4 stars to 5 stars. I completely see why I previously rated it 4 stars; I truly do. Katya is a conflicting character. She can be wishy-washy and slightly annoying. However, I connected with her on this read-through. I can’t say that I understand or stand behind everything she did. But I can appreciate wanting to grow and change as a person. Sometimes I wish I could let go and not be afraid to let loose – just like Katya did. While some might argue that she was puppet for these two men, and in a lot of ways she was, I truly believe that Katya changed because she wanted too. It’s admirable, really.

I’ve heard rave reviews on this story and I was not disappointed. Kayla decides to venture with her sexual side and things are never the same from that moment on. Liam is her neighbor that has so much to offer and a quickly becomes a great friend, then there’s a blast from the past and her old crush Wolf comes into the picture again and now begins the question of who’s team are you on? I’m totally #TeamLiam btw through and through. We’re given a sexy, twist and turn story that leaves you aching for me with a cliffhanger! I need to get on book two and find out what happens next. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
This book was a little hard for me to get into. Other than that it was a good book.
Katya is just your ordinary 23 year old that works to much but knows what she wants to go. If anything she really lives a boring life. That is until her roommate/best friend signs her up for a dating site. After that she is bouncing between two men. These two men couldn’t be any different.
First you have Liam Endenhoff who is fun loving and owns a sex club. Other than fun loving he is also very hot and knows what he wants when is having sex. Oh and his also Katya’s neighbor and owner of her apartment building. Katya knows she should love him but really likes the other guy more and con only be friends with Liam.
Wulfric Stone is the other guys she is seeing. He is a very strong-headed man and also an a@@ most of the time. However, again he is hot as h*** and Katya has known him since he lived in her old neighborhood growing up. Katya knows she shouldn’t pick Wulf but she has always had a crush on him so, how can she resist.
However what happens when they both break her heart? How will she get over this and will she choose either of them in the end? Oh, we don’t find out in this book because of the cliffhanger.
This was so good like, fuck me good. Two sexy hot guys wanting you and they know about the other and seem to have no issue with it and it doesn’t stop them from asking about each other.
‘Are you thinking about the new guy tiny penis’
I like Liam you would be very comfortable with him he’s charming, cheeky, sweet, caring, attentive and he’s a nice guy. Wulf, on the other hand, is the complete opposite moody, broody and very intense and dare I say an asshole. But he has his moments and he’s the one I would choose even if he is bossy and dominate.
Katya is my fave Stylo heroine, she has that unique quirkiness about her and she doesn’t realize how appealing she is to the opposite sex hence two boys sharing her time and other unmentionable.
What a hot , effing, sexy , sizzling, stunning story!!
Katya Tocci is a prim ,proper, beige girl who bakes cakes by day and watches netflix on the weekend . In short, a boring , staid life. In the next building moves in Liam EdenHoff. He’s devastatingly good looking, has a sense of humour and can tutor her in sixty ways to sunday sex. She completely falls for his charms and goes to a sex club on her first date !!
Next day she’s visited by her crush from the past – Wulfric stone , her neighbour from her parental home, and he demands date from her. So now she goes from none to two extremely handsome sexy men who are out to charm her
Actually Wulf is more intense, brooding, intimidating kinds.
Its like Hurricanes sweeping in her life. Her organised, simple life is blown apart, her heart hijacked and her body goes through a gamut of sexual revelations .
The twist in the end gutted me . Its so heart ripping for Katya.
I loved the beautiful characters , the novelty of plot and the sex scenes were sooo damn hot!!
Now to wait for next ……
Holy Sh!t
Let me say it again…with more force
Holy F@cking Sh!t
I…just…Wow! I will be honest. I knew it was coming. I saw the train wreck but I couldn’t stop the impact. I knew and still had tears pouring down my face. I…just…Wow
Neighbors is my first Stylo Fantome book. It without a doubt will not be my last. Holy Sh!t! Can she write!?! This book is touching, sweet, naughty, and even downright filthy.
Katya Tocci works too much. She hasn’t had a boyfriend in 8 months and sex even longer. She is an attractive 23 year old woman. Why- why can’t she get a date?
When it rains, it pours right? One dating app, one drastic profile change, and two men later- is it worth it?
Incredible chemistry, breaking preconceived notions, dropping stereotypes…what’s not to like? Maybe even fall for? But which one?
Or is the question really- which Katya?
Neighbors is a journey of letting your hair down, learning to love yourself, and trying new things. It’s also a hell of a way to start a series. I am so excited. It better be as long as the Twins are tall. I hope for many more adventures and even some new neighbors!

Well. Hell.
I expected some of that and waited for the shit to hit the fan because you knew it would. And then started to question some things towards the last 3rd of the book or so, but I didn’t see THAT coming at all.
I’m still a newbie to the world of Stylo Fantôme but after reading and loving The Bad Ones it really was a no brainer to see what she had up her sleeve with Neighbors and what a ride it was! Even as I’m typing this out I’m still thinking about Katya, Liam and Wulf and trying to figure out them all out and if I even like them or not. Strange, I know, but that’s what this book did to me. Half the time I was a goddamn cheerleader for each of them and the other half I was so irritated with them that I started to snarl and want to hit something. It was a vicious cycle, but I couldn’t stop reading because I NEEDED to know what would happen next.
Katya’s evolution from the very self contained and quintessential ‘good girl’ to…is at the heart of the story and holy hell does she evolve and I’m not all too sure which Katya I liked better, New or Old. They both had qualities I like in a person and ones that make me want to smack a person. But I couldn’t help but want to high five her as she opened herself up, literally at times, to new experiences. She became more vibrant and confident, and she also started to see the world a little differently and that included herself, some things she liked, others she didn’t and even though I wanted to smack her a few times for some of her choices she ended up owning them so I couldn’t fault her for them.
Liam and Wulf. I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with these two and I’m still flip flopping over how I really feel about them, but I couldn’t help but be drawn in by both of them. Such different personalities and yet they are both very much the same. It’s a crazy mix that intrigues while also repels a person. You want to dig deep and see more even when you know you’ll get burned. And I’m still not sure if I’m #TeamLiam or #TeamWulf though I know who prefer a little more than the other, but in the end they both made a hell of an impact.
The triangle. Admittedly, if I had to rank tropes, this one isn’t my favorite, but when done well it’s highly enjoyable even if I want to throw my Kindle at the wall when my fav isn’t picked and Ms. Fantôme does a great job with it here. The tension ~ sexual and otherwise ~ is intense and I kept turning the pages to see what Katya would do about them both.
That ending…when you get down to it, yes it is something of a cliffhanger, BUT it isn’t. It’s one of those you just have to experience for yourself. As with the characters themselves, I’m waffling between love and hate over it. Love it because it was the perfect place to end this book, but hate it because it’s the end of this book. All I know is I want more because despite all the waffling I am, in the end, #TeamKatya

Great book. Neighbors is quite the love triangle involving Katya, Wulfric, and Liam. They find themselves in quite the whirlwind and the ending, y’all, be prepared for one hell of a reveal.
First off…Hells yeah that ending! It ends off on what I think is just a small cliffy, nothing horrible. But DAYUUUMMMM Katya (love that name, btw)! Baby girl is putting on her bitch bra and strapping on her shit kicker boots, ya’ll. It’s on like Donkey Kong. Watch out Wulfric (that name totally grew on me, its so badass) and Liam, Katya means business.
In the beginning I was wondering what the french toast was going on! The more I kept going, the more I was loving it. I pretty much love all the characters Stylo writes, they are all so real. This story got me hooked! Even though what went down was so shitty, I’m totally rooting for Wulfric. I just like saying his name, and the dude clearly loves Katya. Oh and Katya, she has come a long way. Breaking out of her beige wearing shell. Work it, girl!
Eek, I can’t wait for the next one. The small excerpt we got at the end was good. Stylo is taking “Love thy neighbor” to the next level. Boom
3.50 stars
There is a quite a cliffhanger in this book. I liked it but also found Katya to be a tad annoying. I wish there had been more POV from Liam and Wolf especially with the ending chapters. It was surprising what they were doing but maybe a few bonus chapters about them talking about what they did would have been cool.
WARNING: CLIFFHANGER!!
I admit that I stalled in terms of reading this series.
I’m aware that Twin States series is out and as one of Stylo Fantome’s fans, I’m pretty excited but at the same time didn’t want to get my hopes up, especially after reading The Mercenaries series. I was a wee bit let down by the story unfolds; the writing still amazingly superb, but the storyline’s not exactly my favorite. That’s why I was a bit slow starting this series.
Boy, what a stupid decision.
In this book, we met Katya, Liam and Wulf. Katya’s basically us; ordinary girl with the urge to be free, Liam, the adventurous happy-go-lucky kind of guy that she just met, and Wulf, the quiet, gruff yet dominant one that was once her neighbor when she was little. One little site, amazing impact. Katya now stuck in the middle and sure it’s tiring but surrounded by two hot guy? Hubba-hubba. But apparently there are secrets after secrets and now Katya’s not sure what to do anymore.
Stylo sure gave us an epic journey of a butterfly; we can see Katya grow from a shy woman to an independent lady and I enjoyed it so much, and the heroine that Stylo creates always relatable and that’s why I adore this story so much. I feel like I’m Katya. I feel like I can experience what Katya has. And it’s exciting!
The plot twist at the end, oh my god. I kind of see it coming but at the same time I didn’t, that’s why it shook me and I cried for Katya’s pain. Will read the sequel after this!!
Bravo, Stylo!
