The best book I have read this year!
Unusual story line. Went adrift of the original plot, but a good read.
Unexpected attributes in the heroine made for an entertaining read!
I don’t know how I got this book as my interest are horror, science fiction, and fantasy. I would guess the story is set in London during the 1800’s with the addition of zeppelins for the main means of travel and mechanical horses instead of cars. There is a little intrigue in the plot and a murder mystery to solve to keep the story going, it is, however, a romantic novel overall in my opinion.
I am on book 3, and it is very entertaining.
I’m usually not a fan of Steam-Punk, but I really enjoyed this book. Highly recommend it.
I almost couldn’t put in down; a very enjoyable read with the right amount of twists & turns.
Interesting but not interesting enough to read the entire series.
This fascinating story might be termed an alternative-history, kind of a sci-fi looking back. It takes place in mid-19th century London, but with some technologies that are 50+ years early. Intriguing tale involving several interesting characters who you want to know more about. Also, genuine evil is afoot. I want to read the next one in the series.
Boring and predictable.
No more than a dressed up romance novel.
Well written, kept me guessing until the end. Interesting story line it kept me interested. Not the usual love story mystery. I really liked it.
Found it boring
I enjoyed the unfolding mystery
Highly entertaining. Strong, damaged heroine. A noble bad boy who fiercely wants her and gently coaxes her to overcome her fears. A murder mystery thrown in. Dastardly deeds and action too. Great read!
A lot of gratuitous and unneeded sex, though.
Would have enjoyed it much more, but I had to skip too many pages of pornographic graphic sex that almost ruined it for me. Other than that I found it well developed, and a good read.
Fun steampunk Victorian thriller. Deals with difficult issues, but the heroine is strong and resilient. Love all the steampunk machines scattered throughout the book, but still keeping fairly true to Victorian London.
I just can`t stop reading this book ! I am almost finishing it , and every page it´s a new surprise !
Liked the whole series
