Ever heard of Slender Man?
They say he is always there. They say he is always watching—a tall guy in a suit and tie, with no face, and arms like tentacles.
Some say he is an online myth; others will go very far to prove he is real, so far that they might even kill for him. … very far to prove he is real, so far that they might even kill for him.
Fanoe Island is busy with the mayoral election coming up when suddenly, the sitting mayor is found killed. Rumors tell that a faceless man dressed in a suit and tie did it.
In Emma Frost’s house that she inherited from her grandmother, a box of letters is found that tells a story from a long time ago.

Overly detailed. Did not hold my interest. Did not finish it.
Do not recommend it.
This is book #9 of the Emma Frost series, but my first venture into one of the author’s many books. I have mixed feelings about Needles and Pins. The Denmark setting is interesting and I got a clear sense of the small community of Fanoe Island. I also enjoyed the two different time settings, one in 2014 and the other in the 60s. It’s a story technique I’ve seen a lot lately, and it works well here.
My problem is with the characters. Emma and her cop boyfriend Morten seem incredibly naïve at times, and capable of some pretty dumb actions on Emma’s part. The nastier villains in the story have few, if any, redeeming qualities. One of them must have appeared in an earlier book as revenge drives the main plot, however this individual comes across as completely unhinged and diabolical.
Despite my irritation with Emma, the story kept me turning the pages. Also on the plus side, Emma’s kids are believable characters. I imagine fans of the series will really enjoy this installment, and I will read more of these author’s books, because I do like a suspenseful page-turner.
This book was terrible. It was just really bad and unrealistic, poor character development but the author was trying to shove the next villain in the series in so we could have some foreshadowing.
There’s a lot of books out about this guy this one kept my attention it was very well written and different then you’d think I read it in a day
it kinda reminded me of a game my kids play.
Easy to read. Interesting subject.
It was a great book with a twisted ending. Very intriguing and didn’t want to put it down.
I love Willow Rose! She is one of my favorite authors. Once I started reading Slenderman. I couldn’t put it down.
Willow Rose is truly amazing…have read all her Emma Frost series and I am fixing to start the Rebekka Frank series shortly! Highly recommend
Very well written with a Nordic Noir feel to it.
Love love love Willow Rose. Unique writing and always unpredictable twists & turns! Kudos Willow Rose for the God gifted writing skills!
Kept my attention from start to finish.
Her books are all good reads. I enjoy her stories.
I really liked it up until the last few pages when things just clicked into place-too easy. But up until then I was on the edge of my seat!
I was glued to this book, I couldn’t wait to turn to the next page!
Such a great read, once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to read another one of this author’s books!
Another weird and wacky read from Ms.Rose. If you’re looking for a literary work of art, you will be woefully disappointed. If you’re looking for something imaginative, easy to read and very unique and entertaining, you’ll be very pleased. I appreciate Willows style of writing. Most of her books can be read waiting for your plane, riding on the train, waiting for an appointment… etc. Always entertaining, always very imaginative . If you’re in the mood for light, off the beaten track and quirky. Look no further than a novel (or novella) from Willow Rose
