NOTE: The Heiress Series is a continuing saga and must be read in order. Persuading Him (book 1) must be read prior to Needing Him (book 2). This book is not intended to be read as a stand-alone.
Can one phone call change everything? For Kasi Markson and Radek Cole, it does.
The day Kasi receives a call from an unexpected person, her world shifts. That one call puts into motion a series of … motion a series of events that brings old friends back into her life and opens up a wound she tried hard to bury.

I love when an author adds more depth to characters and storylines by continuing their story. I loved the first book in this series, Persuading Him and when I got the opportunity to read Needing Him, I jumped at the chance. The Heiress series is fast becoming one of my favorites. I love Kasi, Even though she grew up an heiress, she seems to have her head on straight and is very down to earth. I love when an obstacle is thrown in her way, she meets it head on. She owns up to past mistakes and truthfully answers the tough questions. It is refreshing to find a character that tells the truth, when a lie would have been much easier.
Ms. Dare does an excellent job fleshing out her characters. Kasi and Radek are very relatable and well developed. Kasi is strong and capable, a real no nonsense type of girl and Radek? Well, he’s just HOT! He has all of the best alpha male qualities: strong, loving, and protective with a bit of a jealous streak. His communication skills might need a bit of work, but other than that, he’s nearly perfect. When an unexpected phone call upsets the couple’s life, people from the past complicate the present.
Kai and Lee are great characters, and at some point, I hope Ms. Dare shares their stories or they reappear in the future books. When there is a threat to Kasi, she has her friends to protect her and her secret, much to Radek’s dismay. Unfortunately, her friends are famous rock stars so they bring with them the attention of the media, something no one wants. However, the phone call isn’t the only threat to Kasi and Radek’s relationship, sometimes they are their own worst enemies. The twist at the end of the book allows the author to take this couple on another adventure. I can hardly wait. I highly recommend this book. The characters are terrific and the sex scenes are sizzling and sensual.
New relationships and old secrets are hard to maintain but when blackmail enters into the picture it feels like your world is crashing down around you.
Distrust and misunderstandings are toxic to any relationship. Can Radek and Kasi over come the toxic waste slipping into their lives? Should/could Kasi move on, especially after being given another “option”?
As the sequel to Persuading Him, you expect it to get your engine revving. It does not disappoint. the tension is high and interfering parties try destroy their bond.
I greatly look forward to reading the next installment in Radek’s POV.
Once again Michelle Dare does not disappoint in bringing you the second installment of this series. We pick up right where Pursuing Him left off as both Kasi and Radek’s world takes an unexpected turn. My heart seriously broke for both of them as I was reading this one. The utter turmoil that these two are put through really tests the strength of their bond. It doesn’t help that the evil ex of Radek appears.. then Kasi’s “ex’s” appear as well causing a lot of messed up moments!
I have to say I love the range of emotions that Dare brings to the table in each of her books. They are so heart wrenching and scorching at the same time. Once again this book flows so seamlessly that when I finished, I was looking for more. I am soooo looking forward to the third installment as its from Radek’s POV, and I REALLY wanna get into his head!
4 Needy Stars!!!
We pick up exactly where we left off with in Persuading Him . This isn’t a standalone and shouldn’t be read as one. Talk about putting a lot into a novella. Man, did Michelle do that and did it perfectly!
We pick up with Kasi getting off with Erin. Radek s ex. The one he had an affair with and the reason he was stand-offish in the beginning with Kasi. Erin wanted one thing from Kasi. Stay away from Radek or Erin will go public with information from Kasi past. It was something Kasi doesn’t talk about. And, it’s not just her secret. Her 2 bffs Kai and Lee are a part of it and Kasi doesn’t want the one thing that brought her in a deep depression out in her face again.
Kai and Lee are part of the rock band Stars and Lies . One night of partying turned physical with the three of them. We know Kasi was a partier and one night stands before she got involved with Radek. When she called the guys and told them what was going on they got on a plane to be with her. What Kasi looked at was innocent turned into something totally different. Kai doesn’t want friendship with Kasi. He’s in love with her and wants her. Radek is mad and jealous when he sees the guys and leaves. Kasi just wants everything to go back to the way it was before that evil wench Erin called her.
Man, what a book!!! There’s so much in this book. Poor Kasi’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. Radek wants Kasi to himself. Even though I thought he was a giant jack ass in this book. He did make up for it. But, it made me think different of him. I know the next book is in his POV. I’m praying he can redeem himself. I hope there’s more Kai and Lee. I’m stoked for what’s next in this series!!!
