She’s free from the confines of her father’s control.
He’s the man hired to keep her out of trouble.
For Braden Clark, getting paid to watch over a city girl on vacation seems too good to be true. She’s hot as hell and determined to test her newfound boundaries, something he finds both sexy and arousing.
Juliette Collins is eager to play and discover everything else she’s missed in her … everything else she’s missed in her sheltered life—including the hot, muscular guy that seems to be everywhere she looks.
But what happens when she discovers his secret? That he’s been paid to watch over her all along?

I’ve been dying for Juliette’s story, and how Carly would bring her in to the mix. Carly definitely didn’t disappoint.
Juliette and Braden’s story was AMAZING! She came from a bit (ok, completely) sheltered life, so seeing her on her own, making something of herself, and standing up to those who have manipulated her, is refreshing. I was a bit surprised how she handled her mother. Not many would handle it the way she did the first time around, and I LOVED that about her. Braden was perfect for her. Sexy, sweet, and showing her just how amazing she really is.
Halley and Pheobe’s first reactions when Juliette had me in tears. Their reactions to her were perfect! Her dad? I could’ve throat punched… a lot .
A fantastic addition to this series I would definitely recommend!!!
I was so excited to finally meet the third, long-list sister, Juliette in the Rosewood Bay series! And I was not disappointed! Juliette is such a fun, sassy, and lovable character, and as she breaks out of her cocooned life to find her sisters she meets Braden. Between these two, there’s a lot of heartache surrounding their stories, and as the story progresses more emotional turmoil is stirred up, but among all the trials and tribulations in their lives, Braden and Juliette are just ridiculously cute and enviable in their relationship. The fit together like puzzle pieces, and I think them together might be my favorite Rosewood Bay couple, which is saying a lot because I loved Halley, Phoebe and their men a whole heck of a lot.
Freed brought a lot of wonderful elements together into a story that will make you swoon, sigh, tear up, and everything in between. It’s a wonderful romance that I enjoyed each minute of. And can I tell you how excited I am that we were introduced to a new character who we will get to meet in an upcoming book as well? I would have missed the Rosewood Bay series a great deal, so I can’t wait for more of it!
Happy Reading!

Freed is book 3 in the Rosewood Bay Series and this is Juliette the sister Phoebe and Halley Ward have been searching for’s story. Phoebe and Halley know they had a younger sister but Juliette only found out by accident that she had 2 older half sisters living in Rosewood Bay. Juliette determined to get to meet her extended family makes the decision to move to the Bay for the summer and although her father can’t stop her he can at least put a PI on her case to watch and report back to him. Braden is a local PI and when he is approached by Mr Collins to watch his daughter he sees it as just another job that will help when he finally has to pay for his father who has Alzheimer’s to go into a nursing home what he didn’t expect was to fall hook line and sinker for the naive city girl. But what will happen when Juliette finds out someone else she has trusted has lied to her…….
This is a great story revolving around a family finally getting to know each other, it’s about love and trust but it’s also a story that touches on the hard subject of caring and watching someone you live with suffer from the terrible Alzheimer’s disease and I have to say this author covered that subject with compassion. This is a beautifully written love story that touched my heart, the characters are easy to like and the chemistry and banter is perfect. Looking forward to the next visit to the inhabitants of Rosewood Bay.
3.75 stars– FREED is the third instalment in Carly Phillips’ contemporary, adult ROSEWOOD BAY romance series focusing on the Ward sisters. This is missing Ward sister twenty-six year old Juliette Collins, and private investigator Braden Clark’s story line. FREED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Juliette and Braden) FREED follows Juliette Collins, the missing Ward sibling, as she searches for the sisters she knew nothing about. Raised by her over-protective father, following the death of her mother, Juliette has been sheltered her entire life until the day she reads her father’s file about her ‘not so dead’ mother, and the daughters (Juliette’s sisters) he abandoned years before. Heading to Rosewood Bay to meet Phoebe and Halley Ward, Juliette is unaware that her father, New York City investment banker Andrew Collins, has hired a private investigator to report back on the daughter of whom he is desperate to return home. Enter Braden Clark, former police officer and PI, and the man with whom Juliette will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Juliette and Braden, and the fall-out when Juliette learns the truth about her father’s ongoing betrayal, and the lie of omission by Braden Clark.
FREED is a story of betrayal, secrets and lies. From the proverbial frying pan into the fire, Juliette Collins discovers that the men in her life cannot be trusted. Naïve and isolated from the basic experiences of life Juliette Collins embarks on a bucket-list of activities beginning with the introduction to the sisters she never knew. Braden Clark struggles in the face of his father’s ever—increasing Alzheimer’s disease, a disease that is quickly destroying the man he once was. Falling for Juliette Collins was never in the plans but meeting the awkward, innocent and beautiful Juliette gave Braden a hope for a happily ever after.
The relationship between Juliette and Braden is off-limits due to the fact that Braden has been hired to spy on our heroine, reporting back to the father who has broken her heart. The attraction between Juliette and Braden is immediate but Braden’s pursuit of Juliette is an ongoing mix-up of signals for our story line heroine. The romance is fun, flirty and spicy. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The wonderful secondary and supporting characters include Juliette’s sisters Phoebe (and Jake), Hally (and Kane) as well as the local florist Andrea ‘Andi’ Harmon; Juliette, Phoebe and Hally’s father Andrew; Braden’s struggling father Jonathan Clark, and their neighbor Lucy Mulligan. Andi and Kyle’s story line is next in DREAM, a departure from the Ward sister story lines.
FREED continues to focus on the daughter’s of New York City investment banker Andrew Collins, a man who abandoned his eldest children, and left them to suffer with a drug-addicted mother. Raised in the child-welfare system, Phoebe and Hally have battled the stigma of desertion, betrayal, and drug abuse to find their happily ever after without the aid of neglectful parents. FREED is an encouraging story of independence, with animated and playful characters. The struggle was limited to the lies and deception directed towards our story line heroine; the conflict resolution was a little too neat and clean for this reader.
Freed is the third installment of Carly Phillips Rosewood Bay series. It is a standalone which you can enjoy without reading the first 2 books in the series. This quick and sweet romance is low in drama, but still has enough story to make it enjoyable.
Braden and Juliette had great banter and I love the connection they shared. They both had challenges in their respective lives and they learned to lean on and support each other while their relationship grew. I loved that there was a strong emphasis in family and friendship in the book. It was heartwarming to see Juliette’s sister had welcomed her into their lives with opened arms and provided sisterly advice when needed. Braden was a good man who put his father’s needs first even if he had to make some sacrifice in his life. He took it in stride and never complained about his family obligation and responsibility.
I really enjoyed this low-drama sweet romance. It was refreshing to get lost in the little town of Rosewood Bay.
I received an advance reviewer copy of the book for free from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Freed was a great forbidden romance. We finally get to meet the mysterious younger sister Juliette Collins. Juliette never knew she had sisters till she found a file in her father’s safe, after an argument with her father she decided to go to Rosewood Bay to meet her sisters. Braden Clark is the PI hired by Juliette’s father to watch her while she is away. On the first meeting, Juliette and Braden felt the sparks between them. How long can Braden keep his secret and will Juliette’s sister accept her into the family?
Carly Phillips writing will draw you in and make you fall in love with this couple. This book will put you an emotional overload. This is a must read series if you love family series; I am looking forward to reading the next book.
Juliette spent her entire life sheltered by the epitome of a helicopter father – a supposedly grieving widower. One day she discovers the truth that her mother is still alive and she has 2 half sisters.
Braden, a former cop, is dealing with the declining health of his father and running a PI firm. Watching some spoiled rich girl for the summer who has gone away first time sounded easy enough. He couldn’t be more wrong as he and Juliette cannot deny their chemistry together. Luckily despite the shaky foundation to their relationship, they are able to overcome it all for their own HEA.
This is the third book in the series and a great continuation of the lives of the Rosewood Bay ladies. Good easy read.

Freed is another irresistible story in the Rosewood Bay series. This is about Juliette, the long lost Ward sister. Juliette has discovered that she has sisters she never knew about. She feels betrayed by her father and leaves home to make a new life for herself with her sisters, Halley, and Phoebe. But her father isn’t so willing to let her go and hires PI, Braden Clark, to keep watch over her. Braden didn’t think that his new beautiful client would be so independent, loving, and kind. The more he gets to know her, the deeper he falls for her. They have so much in common, that draws them together besides their fiery attraction. But Braden’s secrets threaten to ruin the love they share. Braden and Juliette were so great together, they understood each other’s loyalty to family, and their chemistry was explosive. It was so much fun catching up with Halley and Phoebe and watching their bond grow with Juliette. There are some suspenseful moments making this heartwarming, sweet and sexy story totally engaging from start to finish. I also loved the setup for the next book in this series and can’t wait to read Andrea’s story in Dream.

Freed is book 3 in he Rosewood Bay series by Carly Phillips and like the other books in this series it is a standalone, well written and intertwined with the other books…
This book is about Juliette Collins who is also the third Ward sister, but she doesn’t know that as she was told her mother died early on and was raised by her over protective, wealthy, controlling father. She wants to give her father a special birthday gift so she goes searching and finds a file about her other sisters and her mother and confronts her father and tells him she is going to see them. Her father hires a bodyguard to protect her while she looks up her sisters, but she discovers a life she never knew she was missing. Braden Clark has a personal protection agency and thinks he is just watching over a wealthy city girl who wants to get away but little does he know that his life is about to change too….mixing business with pleasure and lying about who he really is.
Secrets, lies, angst, friendships, chemistry, healing, finding love and a HEA!!

I really enjoyed this one and I thought it was a great installment in the series. If you haven’t read this series yet you’re missing out! I was looking forward to this book because I’ve been waiting for Juliette to meet her sisters. It lived up to my expectations. I loved Juliette. She has guts and resilience. All of Braden’s stereotypical thoughts of who she is are blown to smithereens. I just loved Braden and Juliette together. Such great chemistry between the two. The set up for the next book has me very intrigued.
This is the third book in the Rosewood Bay series and each one can be read as a stand alone but who would want to do that when you can read them in order and understand the storyline so much better. Ya know what i mean. In this book, which is the third book in the series, we are finally getting to meet the missing sister Juliette Collins. Halley and Phoebe knew about her from their Aunt Joy but had no way to look for her. She just discovered about them and zip came to look for them in a flash. I loved the way that author Carly Phillips gave Juliette depth to her spirit in spite of being kept in a glass house so to speak by her father all of her life. It is like we have these genes that are deep within us, that no matter the circumstances we are in our genes will always rise up and overcome. Juliette meets a wonderful sexy guy when she starts working (yes, the rich city girl gets gets J.O.B.) but there is a big catch… he is the guy her controlling dad has hired to watch her on the sly.
Braden Clark is not only good looking and protective but he is a family man. Something that Juliette knows a lot about. Instant chemistry oh can i say these two you can see the steam coming off the pages of the book! But not only that this book also has a sweet face to it also which to me makes it well rounded and oh so perfect.
Well written and a book that has me from page one until the end Freed is a book I can highly recommend to any and all. Now I can not wait for the fourth book in this series to come out Dream.
I really enjoyed Juliette and Braden’s story. It was worth the wait. It felt like she had always been in both of her sisters’ lives, their meeting was effortless and emotional for all three of them. She really clicked with Braden and was so much more than the rich, sheltered woman that he was expecting. It’s too bad that both of her parents were selfish and only thought of themselves. I did miss that there wasn’t any actual interaction with Aunt Joy. This was well worth reading. Can’t wait for Andi’s story.
This book was great! It’s about Halley’s & Phoebe’s long-lost baby sister, Juliette. Juliette is living with her father, who has kept her from her sisters sine she was a baby, due to his over-protective, controlling personality. Trying to find an idea for her father’s birthday gift, she goes to his private safe to locate his wine catalog. She finds files on top of the catalog. Upon seeing her name, she reads opens & reads the files, only to discover that she has 2 sisters.
Leaving her father behind, she heads to Rosewood Bay to try and reconnect with her sisters. Unable to allow Juliette to go anywhere without her father’s watchful eye, he hires a P. I., Braden Clark, to keep watch over Juliette. Braden arranges an “accidental” meeting to introduce himself & get her to trust him.
From here, they start a friendship, with Braden trying to keep from mixing his job and his growing interest in Juliette.
I don’t want to spoil it and say too much else, except this is a wonderful story about family, trust & starting over. I really loved it and it was a perfect end to the Rosewood Bay sisters reuniting!
**** 4.5 ****
This is book 3 in the Rosewood Bay series about the lost sister, Juliette. So far, this is my favorite story. It has a good mix of intrigue, naivete, hope, disillusionment and overall family drama.
Juliette has been sheltered her entire life and it is now time to make her own way, against her father’s wishes. Her father is a control freak and has no concept of letting loose. So what will happen when Juliette finds out her father has been keeping secrets from her?
I love that Juliette asserted herself and left to go find her secret family. I love that her and Braden connect and she takes an interest in helping him with his father. Braden is dealing with a lot of things and the last thing he needs right now is a girlfriend, but ultimately that is what he gets and loses.
These two had honest, everyday issues of honesty and trust and this was a good story to watch them figure it out and figure out what they both want and need.
Juliette and Braden story was interesting, romantic, suspensfu and emotional. To me it felt a little fast paced but it is a great story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We meet the lost baby sister in the 3rd book of the Rosewood Bay Series. Reading about Juliette’s life, and how she discovers her lost sister and then meeting them is a great read. There is romance, a bit of suspense, and of course a love interest that will keep you enthralled. I recommend reading Fearless and Breathe, the first two books, prior to Freed. These books bring a whole new dimension and understanding of Freed.
I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Finally, the baby sister Juliette’s book is here! I really enjoyed this one!
Juliette has been shielded from life by her father for 26 years now. It’s only the two of them, as her mother died when she was young, or so Juliette thought. Juliette finds a report from a private investigator showing that her mother, a drug addict, is alive and well AND that she has two sisters she never knew about! Now, Juliette is about to set out into the big, bad world and find her long lost family.
Braden is a private investigator dealing with a father who has Alzheimer’s on top of everything else. Throw in the fact the one person he’s supposed to be watching over is the one he’s falling in love with, life is about to get really messy!
I really enjoyed Freed! I love the banter and chemistry between Braden and Juliette and how they instantly connected. I love that Braden was dealing with something so very real, a parent with Alzheimer’s. I also enjoyed how all three sisters, Juliette, Halley and Phoebe got along and how their relationships grew as the story went on. I loved revisiting them and seeing where they are in life!
This is the third book in this series and it was entertaining and enjoyable read. Being well written and offering an engaging storyline, fully developed characters and deep emotional depths, there are a lot of reasons to recommend this book. I really liked Juliette. She is much more than just your typical rich girl. Full of spirit, sass and with a giant heart, she was easy to connect with and to root for. I also liked Braden. He is a genuine good guy and you had to feel for him and his father. But I have to admit I had issues with his great big lie of omission. I know that this secret helped build drama and angst in the story and that is to be expected and greatly appreciated. Braden is a smart and caring guy. With his growing affection for Juliette and full knowledge of all the lies she had been told, he should have admitted to working for her father a lot sooner. Other than that, I thought they made a good couple, shared chemistry that was steamy and they were well connected emotionally. All together, this is a very good read and addition to this series.
This is not the first book I have read by this author but it is the first in a while….and I’m happy I got started again. I haven’t realized how much I missed her writing. As always, the characters in this book are great and easy to relate to. I read this book in pretty much one sitting. Even though this is book three in the Rosewood Bay series, it can be read as a standalone.
Juliette is the long lost sister of Phoebe and Halley (character from the first two books of the series) but until recently she had no idea they existed. Her very sheltered life left her in the dark of a lot of thing until one day she went into her dads safe to surprise him, only she was the one surprised. Now she is taking her freedom and going to meet her sisters and nothing could prepare her for their reactions.
Braden is hired by some guy to spend the summer watching out for his daughter and he thinks this is going to be easy money that he desperately needs. But from the first moment he sees her he knows this isn’t going to be as easy as he thought.
Now they are faced with secrets, longing and second guessing, will they be able to handle the fallout?
