My life is over.I swore I would never work at the whiskey distillery with my last name on it, that I would never be a part of my father’s legacy. But when I graduated with my art degree and realized there were no jobs, the devil appeared, and I sold my soul, agreeing to work in the family business if he’d give me the art studio I’d always dreamed of.It can’t be that bad, I thought. Until I … I thought.
Until I realized my new boss was Logan Becker.
The Becker brothers have a reputation for being trouble, and since I love trouble, it’s no surprise to me that I’m infatuated by that forbidden fruit the first day I walk into the distillery. That lean, whiskey-eyed, too-hot-for-his-own-good man hates me — and I can’t blame him. His family has been at war with mine for decades, and for good reason.
The Beckers and the Scooters are the Montagues and Capulets of Stratford, Tennessee.
But if he’s Romeo, and I’m Juliet? Well… we all know how that story ends — and for that reason, I tell myself to steer clear.
Because if my father finds out I’m falling for Logan Becker, my life actually will be over.
And Logan’s will be, too.

Small town romance, Romeo and Juliet twist, the Becker boys…. all make one great book!
Mallory and Logan are such a great story. All the feels, great chemistry, flirty fun, family drama and just love! I loved watching them grow together. Logan- super organized, a geek book lover!! Mallory- true artist, tattoos and all!! I couldn’t get enough of their connection. I love how Mallory fights for herself and Logan!
I love how Kandi Steiner develops a story! She draws you in and keeps you wanting more! Neat is that book!!
Logan Becker is the nerdy guy with a heart of gold who has one thing on his mind: taking over the tour guide managerial position at whiskey distillery. Mallory Scooter wants nothing to do with the family business, but in order to achieve her artistic dream, she makes a deal with the last person she should be making deals with: her father.
By striking that deal, Mallory finds herself working at the distillery alongside Logan and despite a very rocky start, the two manage to find common ground. They form a friendship that most people in their life wouldn’t approve of, but they don’t let that get in the way.
Logan was a giant sweetheart and had no problem showing Mallory his true self. He may have a reputation around town as a ladies man, but that Mallory discovers that there is way more to him that what people say. And Logan discovers that his preconceived notions about Mallory were way off base. Their friendship quickly turns to something much more and they have to decide whether it’s worth the risk.
Opposites attract in this Romeo and Juliet-ish installment of the Becker brothers. It is a sweet story that doesn’t end nearly as tragic as the aforementioned Shakespeare play, but it does lay the ground work for a mystery that I am hoping we get more of in the next book.
A great read! I loved this story – the chemistry between Logan and Mallory, the conflicts and angst, the trials and tribulations that built to a wonderful climax. Another well-written and highly enjoyable read by Kandi Steiner.
Neat is the second story in the Becker Brothers series, and holy smokes was it incredible!! Once I started reading, I could not put it down and read it pretty much all in one sitting.Such a beautifully written and moving story, that gives us a modern day Romeo and Juliet tale between Logan Becker and Mallory Scooter.
I just loved everything about Logan and Mallory – true opposites in every sense of the word and members of rival families who find themselves falling for the other when the odds are stacked against them. But, when you truly know you’ve found love – for Mallory and Logan, it didn’t matter what their last name was. I want to say more, but I really feel like this is one of those books that doesn’t need much said about it, other than it’s amazing and that you need to read it. It has easily jumped to the top of my list of Kandi Steiner favorites, right next to Weightless!
Another part of this series that I’m hooked on is the mystery behind the fire at the distillery that killed John Becker……we get another clue into what happened and I’m so curious to see how this is all going to play out. After all these years, the Becker family needs some closure and to once and for all know the truth behind the fire.
Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next for these Becker brothers in Michael’s story, Manhattan!

{I received this as an ARC on exchange for an Honest review}
I am in Love with Logan Becker and Mallory Scooter. This story is beautiful! Logan is a broody, sexy as hell nerd and Mallory is a tough, badass artist. Together they are incredible!! Oh my gosh these to are just plain wonderful. They are angsty and sexy and so freaking perfect for each other. I loved watching them fall in love!! Logan is a man who knows what he wants and even if he knows he shouldn’t want it doesn’t stop him from going for it. Mallory is the one thing he should never have wanted but when she shows him that she wants him to all bets are off. Mallory just wants to be an artist. She never imaged falling for Logan Becker but the more time around him she just couldn’t stop herself even though she knows their family’s will never accept them. Their story is wonderful! I fell so hard and so fast for these two! This book is sexy as hell, it’s angsty and has an underlining mystery that keeps you glued to the pages. I love this book and this incredible couple!!! Please just read it!! You will LOVE it!!
Emotional. Captivating. All-around Awesome.
We are back in one of the best southern worlds ever created y’all!
‘Neat’ is the second book about the crazy Becker Brothers, and this time we are falling for the logical and nerdy Logan.
If you love books that will make you dream of worlds only they can bring to life, snort so much your whole face starts hurting around the second chapter, squint your eyes because you want to know more and can’t read fast enough, warm you up fro the inside out with a couple of simple words and fee so many emotions it’ll be like you’re living through it, then this is the perfect book for you.
Logan is a southern gentleman through and through but he’s a Becker, so trouble is never too far from him.
He’s book smart and cute in a geeky way, he’s hotter than the sun and smoother than Scooter’s whiskey.
He’s focused and a one of a kind man, he cares with all his heart and is ready to stand up for his family and those he loves, he’s witty and always knows how to make you smile, he’s neat as can be and just needs a little mess to lighten up his life.
Mallory is a fierce woman, a talented artist, and an impossibly stubborn woman. She’s creative, street smart, funny, quirky and sarcastic.
She knows what she wants and is willing to sacrifice everything in her if it means making her dreams come true.
She’s driven and hard-working, she cares a lot but prefers not to show it, she’s compassionate and fair, and despite her upbringing, she’s righteous, honest, modest and sweet. She just needs a little it of order in her life to make it all right.
The Scooters and the Beckers couldn’t be any more at war with each other than they already are. So when it comes to Mallory and Logan things get very complicated very fast.
But despite the arguments, the misunderstandings, the egos and prides, the chemistry between them is impossible to ignore and not act on it.
No matter how hard they try to stay away from each other and ignore their attraction, is like there’s a magnetic force between them making that nearly impossible.
They are complete opposites, and yet when they come together it feels like fireworks are going, bells are ringing and heartbeats are syncing.
This book is about sacrifice, finding out mysteries, following your dreams, blinding emotions, heartfelt actions and their consequences.
When it comes to Kandi’s work, I never know what to expect, but what I do know is that she will make me feel so many emotions and make me live through the story that she manages to bring to life before my eyes.
‘Neat isn’t any different.
I’ve loved, laughed, cried and worried reading this masterpiece, but it is exactly because of this rollercoaster of emotions that I am here right now surrounded by a blanket and happy tears that I say this: Do yourself a favor and pick this book up. You won’t be disappointed in the slightest.
Southern gentleman, crazy artists, a weird looking cat, rivalries, and magical love and true emotions. That’s what you’ll receive when reading ‘Neat’, and trust me when I say you will constantly feel like a kid on Christmas Day.
The second book in this series is even better than the first. Logan is awesome with all his OCD and nerdy hot guy qualities and you want to root for him and Mallory so much! Can’t wait to read what happens next for the Becker boys!
Once again, Kandi Steiner has gone above and beyond and delivered a romance to top the last. Each book she writes absolutely floors me, astounds me! NEAT left me breathless at every chapter, flying through page after page watching as this Romeo and Juliet style story tore me apart.
NEAT is book two in a series interconnected through brothers, a town, a distillery. The author does an amazing job of making each book stand totally alone but yet still strings connecting threads of family history, mystery, events of the past, glimpses to the future. My recommendation is to read these books in order and totally immerse yourself in the Becker brothers.
Logan and Mallory couldn’t be more opposite yet are utterly perfect together. She’s the mess to his neat, the chaos to his calm, the planet he now orbits around. Nothing makes sense without her. Family loyalties are tested, but the bond of a soul mate is unbreakable. Logan and Mallory slowly build the unbreakable bond all while twisting my heart in a tight squeeze. He is just such an amazing man, knowledgeable beyond his years with so much to give. Mallory is a diamond in the rough who can’t hide her shining light from the eyes of Logan Becker. He sees through the façade of the princess of Stratford and teaches her how to feel the light that no one else can see, how to open her heart to emotion and let the sun shine in. Mallory sees through Logan too. Sees what makes him the man he is. Sees behind his furrowed brows, sees beneath his dimple, sees how his mind whirls in contemplation, sees how he is an utterly perfect human male specimen.
Logan and Mallory have a mountain to climb, a universe to create, but their love is strong and they are young and determined. When you find the one who challenges you, who completes your unfinished puzzle, you move those mountains to make it happen. Logan doesn’t put much stock into letting the sins of the father fall upon the son. He sees that Mallory does not follow in her father’s footsteps and together they will show the world how Romeo and Juliet can live in harmony, together. Neat is the story of how their differences intrigue them, their love brings them together, tears them apart, and starts to heal the wounds of the past.
Kandi’s Becker boys will be the death of us all. It will be a slow, steady death–Perfectly paced and timed delivering heartfelt pain, mind-numbing relief, and deliciously steamy activities. These boys have been brought up right and the ladies in their lives are lucky indeed. We are only half way there. There are more Becker brothers with stories to be told, more secrets to be revealed, more tears of happiness to be shed. On the Rocks was perfect, Neat topped it. I can’t wait to see what else Ms. Steiner has in store for us, the lucky readers who get to sit back and escape into a world where anything is possible.
A beautiful story! I was pulled in from the beginning until the end. Logan and Mallory are total opposites. Strong family ties and a storyline that will keep you glued to your seat. I read this in one sitting. This author has never failed to write a book that I don’t like. She is definitely one of my one click authors to buy books from on Amazon without even reading a blurb or anything. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!

While this is a standalone in The Becker Brothers series, having already read the first book On The Rocks, I will say that as of right now Logan Becker is my favorite of the Becker brothers. Logan and Mallory’s families hate each other. So their’s is a relationship that should not be. Forbidden as Romeo and Juliet, or a Hatfield and a McCoy. There is so much history between their families. But the pull between the two is undeniable. They try their best to make it work, keeping it on the down low until they are ready to face their families. Then Mallory’s father ruins everything.
These characters are so amazing. The things they do for each other, the way the complement each other. Just absolutely amazing. I love the closeness of the Becker family, the way they are there for each other and support each other. I love how devoted to their mom the boys are. The Scooter family is such an opposite compared to the Becker family. I feel so terrible for Mallory having to have grown up that way.
This story was absolutely wonderful, and while complete in and of itself, leaves you wanting just a little bit more. I can’t wait for Michael’s story.
Mallory and Logan, what a ride. This star crossed story grabbed me and didn’t let me go until the end. The characters are amazing. Kandi Steiner writing is perfect for my taste but this book had set the bar higher on my list. The drama between both families creates the atmosphere needed for the story to unveil, still have a bit to go, so hopefully we can get more in the next books.
Neat by Kandi Steiner was an emotional and angst-filled story I devoured. You can never go wrong with a book by the amazing Kandi Steiner. Mallory wants to live her life on her own terms and follow her dreams. But her father wants her to work at the family business. I loved how strong and determined she was, even when facing adversity. Enter Logan. Logan was everything. He’s nerdy and charming and likes things a certain way.
Mallory and Logan were opposites, but the attraction is there. Sometimes the heart wants what it wants and in this case it could not be truer. Mallory is right where she never wanted to be and Logan is working hard for his family’s legacy. Their families hate each other and yet their lives are intersected. Can they find a way to find their happily-ever-after? I loved Neat by Kandi Steiner. It had great characters and their journey was everything.

Happy reading!
Neat, book 2 in the Becker Brothers series. No problem reading it as a standalone.
“She’d taken a part of me, and given me a part of her, and now – without the other – neither of us would be the same again.”
A modern Romeo and Juliet story, with a couple of twists.
Logan Becket, the man who needed order.
Mallory Scooter, the woman who thrived in chaos.
“When we fell, we fell hard. When we loved, we loved with all we had. When we fought, we fought until we dropped. And when one of us was knocked down, the whole team stopped everything to get them back on their feet. That was the Becker way.”
Neat, a story about family, friendship and love. If you need something sweet and heartwarming, this is the book for you!
-Stina, A Woman & Her Books
Neat by Kandi Steiner is now available and in Kindle Unlimited! This small town, country romance is perfect to get you into all those cozy fall and holiday vibes you’re craving. Plus, it’s got a forbidden element — a “new age Romeo and Juliet!”
5.5 Stars
Neat is the second book in the Becker Brothers Series, and I absolutely loved it!
“What do you wish for most?”
“You.”
A modern-day Romeo & Juliet, this book is heartwarming, addicting, and beautifully written. I was hooked from the very beginning and I couldn’t get enough of this story & characters. As a fan of Kandi Steiner, I’m used to her amazing writing style and talent for eliciting emotion from each and every word, and bringing the story to life. Neat is no exception and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. I devoured it, and couldn’t stop highlighting quotes the entire time.
“It was like two magnets being held away from each other for years, finally being released and clashing together in the middle, touching for the first time, feeling what it’s like to be whole.”
I can’t even explain how much I love Mallory & Logan. On their own, they are each amazing characters, but together they are simply incredible. Like magnets, they are the definition of opposites attract, her messy complimenting his organized in a way they never expected. The fact that they were forbidden, coming from families with decades of history and hatred, just made their chemistry and attractions even more electrifying.
I loved how each of them was doing something they hated in order to reach their dreams, and that, essentially, they were both selling their souls to the same devil. And no matter how many times they were told to stay away from each other’s families, their instant bond was enough to ignore all the warnings and forge ahead with a friendship that blossomed into something beautiful.
“Do you think there’s a universe that exists where you could be mine?”
“Let’s make one.”
The Becker brothers were back, and I enjoyed getting further glimpses into Mikey & Jordan’s lives, and I can’t wait to see whose story we get next! And Chris, omg please Kandi give us his story! He was such a great addition, lending moral support and a dose of comedy whenever needed.
With characters that will steal your heart and a storyline bursting with love, Neat is definitely one of my favorites this year and I highly recommend it!
My Oh My! I’m so beyond OBSESSED with the Becker boys! I thought I Noah Becker had captured my heart in On the Rocks. Well..Geez! My Hell,Y’ALL! His Brother, Logan, just caused a plummet so hard and fast in love, lust and obsession with at things Logan Becker town, I don’t know that I will ever come down from this sweet and swoony high I’m on! So yes, this was in fact an new twist on an old Romeo and Juliette-ish tale. But where ol’ Romeo and Juliette were all “where for art thou” and corsets and goblets of wine in fair Verona. Here in Stratford, Tennessee, we all whiskey, rustic wood and a delicious little twanging lilt to these Southern boys! A personal favorite of mine.
Logan Becker is hotter than biscuits and gravy. He has a reputation around town, but he is SO much more than that. He is not at all who people think he is. He is beyond gorgeous and a rough and tough Becker Boy. He’s also funny, and a neat- freak OCD super planner. He has the best family, and the love and respect of so many people. He is amazing and takes so much pride in his work. He has worked for years at the distillery as the lead tour guide, with plans that when Max Scooter retires from his job, it will be his and the Becker legacy his father and grandfather worked so hard to build, will live on at Scooter Whiskey. Everything seems to be going occurring to his carefully mapped out plans. That is until Mallory Scooter returns to town and as his new trainee in the tour guide department. She not only has the last name that can derail all his plans at that promotion, but he has also secretly harbored a crush on this vibrant beautiful girl for the last ten years. Mallory, with her colorful tattoos, sparkly piercings and IDGAF attitude is unlike anyone he has ever met. They would be disastrous together. No one in their families would be okay with it. Will Logan take the risks anyway? What if they can come up with a mutually beneficial relationship that works for them both, can they walk away when it’s over?
Mallory Scooter is this bright ray of sunshine woman in a bland room. She is sassy and gets Logan riled up like no other. When she first arrives to work to train under him it’s under duress. It’s a means to an end. It’s only to help her get what she wants. She is drawn to the extremely hot, but organized Logan. But when he has attitude after she first shows up she decides to push his buttons. The tension between them is explosive!
I wanted Logan for her, she deserves this sweetheart of a guy. She left home as soon as she could and didn’t want to ever come back. My heart hurt for her. Her backstory isn’t sweet, she didn’t have what Logan did growing up.
I love the way he looks at her. Like no one in her life ever has before. She loves his organization and his love of books. He’s sensitive and sweet, but holy god he’s alpha and hot AF! For each other they are perfect. There’s just that small matter of…their families hating each other.
I love this series so much. This couple especially hit my heart hard. I can’t wait to hear updates about them in Mikey’s book. If you are looking for a new Small Town Romance series. I promise this is it. Set in beautiful Tennessee with a Whiskey Distillery as the main backdrop of this amazing series. You will be drawn into the world of all things Becker boys and the girls that capture their hearts. They raise raise hell and drop panties. They love their momma and have manners and drive big trucks. Don’t miss out on this Series. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it!!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
-I LOVE Kandi Steiner! This series quickly captured my heart and I haven’t looked back. It has everything. This is one of those times where imma throw in an a sixth star because this book deserves it and because I’m extra AF!
– Holy Desus Y’all!! Logan and Mallory couldn’t be any hotter! I’m talking like napalm, sexual napalm!
Cliffhanger Warning-NO CLIFFY! I Love Endings Like This #Perfection
First, let me just say that I love… like love, love, love Kandi Steiner’s covers! Like, all of them but I adore the fallish and neutral colors in this cover. It’s just a stunning look! Besides the gorgeousness on the exterior. There is a beautiful inside as well. Mallory and Logan had a sexy, sweet story. Steiner packs some emotion into the story and she definitely pulls those heart strings. The characters are so perfectly developed and I loved all of them. The secondary characters are just as great and the main two. But Mallory and Logan were so different but they leaned toward each other until the just couldn’t fight it anymore.
I really feel like we’re getting some of Miss Steiner’s best work yet here. It’s developed and so full of emotion and heart. I really enjoyed the families dislike for each other and the way Mallory and Logan both instantly had distaste for each other based on their family’s history alone. I have a deep weakness for books that are really immersed in family relationships and love. I loved that in Neat but it actually brought about problems for Mallory and Logan. While they struggle with how to make their family happy and be happy within themselves, they also struggle with their own personal dreams. It seems the world is against them with every aspect of their lives, even their own family, except the one they least expected to be behind them. Yup, Miss Steiner worked my heart over alright!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Another Great read from this author. I am loving this small town country journey that she is taking me on with the Becker Brother series. Being that this series is set in my hometown state of Tennessee is an added bonus. Kandi depicts the beautiful state perfectly! Logan and Mallory’s story is so heartfelt and a beautiful opposites attract story. Their story comes with all the feels along with some Romeo and Juliet vibes. This new to me author has blown me away with her writing and made me fall in love with the whole Becker family from the first book On The Rocks to this one and I can’t wait to get that next book. I am highly recommending that you check out this author and I’m pretty sure that you will fall in love with these hot brothers as much as I have.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
What is not to love!? Enemies to lovers, my fav! Small town. Brothers. Returning characters. Angst. Mystery. A furry sidekick. I really loved this book and OTR. Can not wait for books three and a four.
The Becker brother’s need I say more. Neat is a standalone book that will steal your heart, its heartfelt and angsty. You do not want to miss Logan and Mallory’s story. Kandi Steiner’s writing is flawless.
Logan is a nerdy guy that has an imagine in town that is not him. Mallory has some high expectations to live up to working for her dad’s company. She has her own dreams she wants to follow. The chemistry between Mallory and Logan was perfection.
This was an addictive story that will pull you in from page one. Once you start you will not be able to put it down, this was a one sitting read for me. I love the Becker brothers. You don’t want to miss this book. Must Read!
