My life is over.I swore I would never work at the whiskey distillery with my last name on it, that I would never be a part of my father’s legacy. But when I graduated with my art degree and realized there were no jobs, the devil appeared, and I sold my soul, agreeing to work in the family business if he’d give me the art studio I’d always dreamed of.It can’t be that bad, I thought. Until I … I thought.
Until I realized my new boss was Logan Becker.
The Becker brothers have a reputation for being trouble, and since I love trouble, it’s no surprise to me that I’m infatuated by that forbidden fruit the first day I walk into the distillery. That lean, whiskey-eyed, too-hot-for-his-own-good man hates me — and I can’t blame him. His family has been at war with mine for decades, and for good reason.
The Beckers and the Scooters are the Montagues and Capulets of Stratford, Tennessee.
But if he’s Romeo, and I’m Juliet? Well… we all know how that story ends — and for that reason, I tell myself to steer clear.
Because if my father finds out I’m falling for Logan Becker, my life actually will be over.
And Logan’s will be, too.

What happens when type A, always by the book Logan, has his life turned upside down by the feisty, sweet Mallory? The answer is a beautiful, emotional story that will keep you in your feels from start to finish. I loved every second of this one and couldn’t put it down.
Logan and Mallory captured my heart and soul. Even now days later I can’t get them off my mind. I highly recommend you pick this one up
The ultimate enemies to lovers romance! Their families hate each other but the chemistry between Logan and Mallory is off the charts. I loved the added bonus of him having a crush on her since he was young – super cute! The way their relationship developed was so sweet and full of passion and the ending was perfection! Plus any man who allows himself to be emotionally vulnerable is pretty sexy in my book. I can’t wait for Michael’s book coming up next.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Neat by Kandi Steiner
5 stars
Omg what an another amazing spectacular story!! So many heartfelt emotions. Kandi sure doesn’t disappoint!!
“That’s the thing about losing a loved one. In one way or another, they stay with us forever. They’re never truly lost, never truly gone — as long as we choose to keep them alive in our hearts.”
I love when Kandi Steiner releases a new book because she always manages to write a story that resonates with her readers. Neat is one of those books. Kandi has not only written a gorgeous romance about two people who aren’t supposed to be together even though they are clearly destined for one another, but she she was also written one that about a heroine any woman can relate to. How far will you go to reach your dreams? Is it easier to settle and get it the easy way or fight with everything you have to make your dreams come true? This is one topic that is prominent throughout Neat and I loved being on the journey alongside the heroine.
Not only that, the chemistry is off the charts in this one. I believe I saw and felt it before it clicked within the minds of Logan and Mallory, and was so excidted when they finally realized how deep their connection was. Of course, there’s drama within their relationship as the two are essentially forbidden to be together (think Romeo and Juliet as described in the blurb) but it adds to the angst and excitement of the overall story.
All in all, this is another GREAT read by Kandi Steiner. I am so excited for the next book.
Kandi’s newest novel is the second in the Becker Brothers series. I enjoyed the first one and I loved this one. I have a feeling that each Becker brother may have a fight on their hands at who will be the top dog.
This one reminded me a little of Romeo and Juliet minus the death.
The Becker’s have been feuding with the Scooter family for years over the distillery that they founded together. The difference is that one family took more recognition for the work they did together, leaving the other family high and dry, ha pun intended. By definition Logan doesn’t date and no one can keep his attention for very long that is, until Mallory returns to her hometown.
Mallory doesn’t exactly scream typical Scooter because she’s a bit rebellious when it comes to her family. Never wanting to be a part of the distillery, but her father makes a deal with her in exchange for a art studio that has been her passion. Against her better judgment she takes the offer but it comes with consequences she didn’t see coming.
One being: working with Logan Becker, a man she can’t deny her attraction to.
Like I said Romeo and Juliet sort of, maybe West Side Story would be a better fit. Anyway, enemies-to-lovers aka opposites attract, except this one has a flippy flop from bad boy and good girl to bad girl and good boy. Or maybe they are both a little of each.
Mallory is a character that will grow on you, she’s a bit immature and very very unprofessional. While Logan maintained professional and almost quite serious. I found that really refreshing that he wasn’t painted as a playboy but in the general area of a nerd.
Their chemistry is so amazing, I knew it wouldn’t be long before they gave in, denying what they know is a bad idea. What could possibly go wrong?
I love small town romances almost more than big city love. And Kandi always delivers with her writing style. There hasn’t been a book that I’ve read by her that hasn’t touched me in some way. There are very few authors who I can say without a doubt that their books with get you.

I love these Becker brothers!! Logan Becker is the tour guide at the whiskey distillery in his home town when he’s supposed to train Mallory Scooter, the owner’s daughter. These two are complete opposites. Logan has a bit of OCD and everything has to be in it’s place while Mallory is an artist and likes things wild. He’s clean cut and she has piercings and tattoos all over her body. You can’t get any more opposite than they are, but they just work. Love the reference to Romeo and Juliet as this is exactly what they are. Their families are rivals and have been for years ever since Logan’s dad died mysteriously. Can’t wait for the next Becker brother!
Neat was another story from the Becker’s family. Logan Becker was the meticulous son among the brothers. This romance was a delicious slow burn within the distillery. I was drawn into the smalltown vibes and the overall feelings. Logan and Mallory relationships were forbidden like Romeo and Juliet.. It was emotional angsty and personal. I have adored the simplicity of the story yet it had captured the most beautiful of love and the strength among Becker’s family.
I have all the confidence you’ll fell in love with Logan! Neat is a clean sip of whisky that burns in all the right places. Kandi out did herself with this Becker brother and if you read On the Rocks (the first in the Becker Brothers series) then you know that’s saying a lot.
When opposites attract they create a fire and Neat is on fire!!
Oh, Kandi Steiner, what you do every time I read one of your books. I completely fall in love with it and want nothing to do with my own world. I get annoyed when anyone tries to talk to me while reading a book from you. You pull me so far into the world of Becker vs. Scooter that I have a hard time coming back into my reality. Boy, do I wish there was a Logan in my reality. He was so book worthy. He always knew the right things to say (even in the worst circumstances) and he was just perfect. Mallory was a great character as well even though she acted immature in certain instances. She really grew throughout the book and grew into herself.
I absolutely loved the banter between Logan and Mallory. The chemistry was spot on and nothing felt forced. Everything felt natural and real between them. I also love that we get a little more interaction with Noah and Ruby Grace.
That is one of the reasons I love reading series – we get to find out more about those characters after their book has been completed. Especially series by Kandi Steiner.
Kandi – this book was absolutely amazing! I loved the concept, story line, writing, and the characters! I can’t wait for the next one! 🙂
I received this ARC from the author for an honest review.
I can’t even put into words what this book did to me. I absolutely loved the story. Book one had me hooked to the Becker brothers. I loved that story, but getting a deeper look into Logan gave me ALL the feels!
I felt an instant connection with Logan. I have OCD tendencies and reading his little quirks made me smile. Enter Mallory and her artistic side, and that hit another nail on the head with me because I have that connection with her. Bringing them together was PURE MAGIC!
The overall details had me feeling as though I was watching a movie. Their story, every detail captured in a way that made me SEE and FEEL it. The novel was beautiful and filled with raw emotion that had me laughing, crying, smiling so hard it hurt. There were also times when I wanted to fling the kindle across the room out of pure frustration. That is the mark of a good novel.
I’m in love with Logan and Mallory and I really believe that you will be too when you read their story.
I can’t wait for the rest of the Becker boys to get their stories!
I really enjoyed this one. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I’m not sure which Becker brother will be my favorite, but Logan was great. I loved that he read, that he was super organized, and pretty nerdy. Like I’m swooning over here. I also liked Mallory a lot too. She was a bit bratty at times, but when you saw what kind of family life had dealt her, I don’t think you’d blame her. I loved that she was artistic, and dabbled in photography, painting, etc, and that she wasn’t afraid to be herself most of the time.
I would have loved to get a peek into her dark room, and maybe have a “moment” between these two in there, but I will say they were pretty steamy overall. From what I remember of the first book, I definitely think Logan was the more sexually adventurous of the two brothers. The drawings, and photos, that Mallory made of Logan sounded delicious, and I want my own copies haha.
Getting more of the Becker family was a treat too. I felt like we saw them slightly less in this book than in Noah’s mostly due to Logan being so focused on his job, and then Mallory. Regardless, I’m excited for the next book, Manhattan, which is coming out this winter! There was one plot line that I thought would wrap up in this book concerning a laptop, but that didn’t happen. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I won’t say anything further. Another thing I liked about this series was 1) it described how the guys preferred their drinks served and 2) it also described something else going on in the story. Like with Logan, he was a ‘neat’ freak. I thought that was a fun little bonus nod to the title.
What an amazing 5 star story this was. A solid page turner that consumed me until the last page.
Logan is focused, a little bit of a neat freak, organized and set in his routine. Here comes Mallory, the artist with her coloured hair, piercings and tattoos. When they get together, sparks will fly.
This is somewhat a forbidden romance, opposites attract. I devoured this highly addicting story. An amazing storyline with great characters. This is the second story in this series but rest assured it can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this story told in a dual POV with a great HEA.

Oh my gosh! I loveeeeee Logan and Mallory!
They are just like my favorite kind of couple.
There were some scenes in this books that were so sexy, my spine tingled. TINGLED. I felt it in my bones (and maybe some other places if I’m honest).
Logan is just the most straight laced, sweet, interesting guy. And Mallory is a free-spirited, carefree gal.
Loved how the whole family is present in this book and the ongoing saga of what happened to John Becker continues.
GIVE me more of these boys.
I loved this so much- the kids of rival families, who are drawn to each other even though no one approves and they have to keep it secret. I adored Logan in all his nerdiness, his romantic ways, the way he’s not afraid to show his feelings. And I love Mallory. She doesn’t belong with her family, marches to her own beat, and she’s not afraid to say sorry.
I’m totally digging the series as a whole- the brothers, their backstory, and the mystery behind their dad’s death. Each book draws you in easy and makes you root for their happy ending.
Perfect small town country romance that will warm your heart . . . I also love the pseudo Romeo and Juliet element to it too!
Sweet, sweet, Neat! What’s isn’t there to love about this book! I fell in love with Noah in book one but Logan stole my heart with his book!
Logan and Mallory have always known of each other, but due to their families resentment to each other they have stayed away, never needing to mix. That is until Mallory is sent to work at her families distillery where Logan becomes her new boss. There’s fire between this pair and slowly the more time they spend together the more they realise there is something there that they cannot hide from.
Logan and Mallory are such opposites, neat v’s mess, chaos v’s plans, yet they are perfect. This couple gave me all the feels and I just wanted to be wrapped up in their love with them, that’s the beauty of Steiners words, they are so real with emotion that you feel it all.
Logan, now that man is a southern gentleman and I swooned so bad for him, he’s kind and honest, sexy as hell, a little geeky and his family values are at the centre of him.
Mallory, I loved her. She came in sassy and a know it all but she quickly turned a corner. She was boxed into a persona her family wanted her to be, but she fought to be free, standing up for what she believed in, which I admired, especially knowing she would lose everything she had, but she’s honest and became who she needed to be without her family.
Steiner has created a world with the Becker’s that I love and I cannot get enough of them. The Becker brothers are a special breed of men and I absolutely love their family values. Family is at the heart of them. The dances with their mum are just precious.
Neat was such a beautiful, easy read with flawless writing and a story that will warm your heart and keep a smile on your face. This book can be read as a standalone, although it is part of a series about the Becker brothers with each getting their own story. Roll on Michael next and that damn password!

It was supposed to be Romeo and Juliet. We should have known how it ends. But in reality we had no idea… Enjoy the whiskey tour because at the and you may be a little hungover.

I’m short of words lately. It’s like Kandi Steiner has stolen every consonant and sealed it in her book. The only thing you can do is making some incoherent noises:
Aaaaaa.
Eeeee.
Iiiiii.
Oooooo.
Uuuuuuu.
I’m not making sense, I know. Blame Neat for it. The author did an excellent job at potraying the characters believable, real in the human vulnerability and mistakes, passions… and and and.
Excuse me, I’M NOT OKAY. Read this book if your life is dear to you. It’s trully a Shakespeare masterpiece.
FINAL RATING: 4. ‘haven’t decided yet’ stars
I didn’t think anything would be able to top On the Rocks. I was wrong.
Logan Becker… y’all. Buckle up. The chemistry between Logan and Mallory is downright combustible. I was so twisted up in this story that I was sad when it was over. The forbidden aspect really amps up the slow burn.
There are a lot of twists and turns that you just can’t see coming and will leave you gasping for more. Kandi Steiner has sucked me into the Becker brother’s world. I cannot wait until I can immerse myself again. This book was brilliantly written and I can only imagine what’s next.
I don’t think I’ll be getting over this book hangover anytime soon!
You can’t go wrong with a Kandi Steiner romance!
