My life is over.I swore I would never work at the whiskey distillery with my last name on it, that I would never be a part of my father’s legacy. But when I graduated with my art degree and realized there were no jobs, the devil appeared, and I sold my soul, agreeing to work in the family business if he’d give me the art studio I’d always dreamed of.It can’t be that bad, I thought. Until I … I thought.
Until I realized my new boss was Logan Becker.
The Becker brothers have a reputation for being trouble, and since I love trouble, it’s no surprise to me that I’m infatuated by that forbidden fruit the first day I walk into the distillery. That lean, whiskey-eyed, too-hot-for-his-own-good man hates me — and I can’t blame him. His family has been at war with mine for decades, and for good reason.
The Beckers and the Scooters are the Montagues and Capulets of Stratford, Tennessee.
But if he’s Romeo, and I’m Juliet? Well… we all know how that story ends — and for that reason, I tell myself to steer clear.
Because if my father finds out I’m falling for Logan Becker, my life actually will be over.
And Logan’s will be, too.

NEAT is quite possibly my favorite story (so far) out of the two Becker brothers books Kandi Steiner has recently released. Mallory & Logan were so perfect for each other, and the fact that they had SO much going against them made me love this book even more. Regardless of the obstacles between them, they found a way to go against the odds.
It was a very mature love, almost as if they’ve loved each other in another life and instinctively knew what to do in this lifetime: fight for each other – I know that may sound weird but that’s just how it felt for me!
Looking forward to the next Becker brother’s story!!!
Well done, Kandi!
Logan & Mallory
Love/Hate. Enemies/Friends/More. Family Drama. Stereotypes. New Knowledge. New Friendship. And New Relationships.
Mallory wants to be able to stand on her own, but she must get help before she can do that. She turns to the last person she want to turn to, but she has to agree to his terms.
Logan has worked hard to get to where he is at. As his family before him, he continues to work for Scooters Whiskey Distillery and has moved up in the ranks. He just never thought that he would be working so closely with Mallory.
Kandi Steiner has created another beautifully written story. While Mallory and Logan appear to be destined to hate each other, they learn to work together and to see who they truly are inside. It may cause a rift in their families, but some things are more important.
Love this story and I can’t wait for the next one.
When Kandi pens a book that is somehow related to all thing’s whiskey, I know I am going to be drunk off her words. That I will slowly sip until I am lost and inebriated in the story. And just as the day after you tie one on, I am left with a book hangover. Neat is no different.
Logan is a Becker. You know those bad boys of whiskey. Those brothers that play hard but love harder. Those brothers that stick together through thick and thin.
Mallory is a Scooter. Those Scooters that hate the Beckers. Those Scooters that are all about show and very seldom about caring.
Now comes the modern-day Romeo and Juliet, our present time Hatfield and McCoys. And, the proof that opposites do attract.
Logan is neat, organized, and excellent at his job. Mallory is wild, footloose and fancy free. When Mallory is forced into working with Logan, sparks fly, passion ignites, and everything becomes convoluted. Hidden truths spring forward and lies take over.
One of the things I love about Kandi is her books don’t always end with all pretty ducks in a row. Oh yes, there is an HEA, but HEA’s do not mean perfection. It just means people have worked through the issues and found their way to each other. And that is what Kandi does. She has her hero and heroine work through issues, but still knowing life consist of drama and nothing is perfect.
And because of perfect, imperfections I love this book, love this story and certainly love these brothers.
OMG!!! Kandi has done it again!!! Logan and Mallory are so amazing!!! I’m in love with the Becker boys and cannot wait for the next two books! If you enjoy small town romance, opposites attract and great whiskey, you need to read Neat and On the Rocks. The Becker boys are hot!!
I really enjoyed Logan and Mallory’s story. These two couldn’t be anymore opposite, but you know what they say ‘opposite’s attact’. Their chemistry was off the charts.
I always enjoy a mystery as well. I can’t wait to find out more information regarding his family and his father’s death.
I fell hard for the Becker brothers. I can’t wait to read the next one!
I have received an ARC for an honest review.
So Neat left me speechless, just when I think her books couldn’t get better she proves me wrong. Neat was EPIC!! This story was about two people who were lost, they didn’t know what they really wanted until they met each other.
Logan has my heart! I loved how sweet and dedicated he was, he knew the life he wanted and didn’t leave room for anything to distract him from making his dream true…. that was until Mallory walked into his life and made him realize that there is more than just a job. Mallory won my heart from the start. I just wanted to hug her and protect her. She was stuck in a place where she didn’t know what to do, in order for her dream to come true she needed to do what her father wanted. I just love how sassy and crazy she was, I loved seeing her take a chance and go for what she really wants.
Logan and Mallory will have you swooning, these two are giving Romeo and Juliet a run for their money. Another epic and beautiful story by Kandi Steiner, these Becker brothers are EVERYTHING!!!!
Neat is the second Becker brother book Logan runs the whiskey distillery that Mallory’s father owns. Mallory couldn’t find a job after getting her art degree so she makes a deal with her dad to work at the family business and in return, he will build her an art studio. She realizes she’s in serious trouble when she finds out that Logan Becker is her new boss. Their families have a history and do not get along at all. This makes Logan forbidden to her but it only seems to make her want him more.
This story was an emotional one. It had plenty of highs and lows. It had my emotions all over the place. Ms. Steiner has once again outdone herself with her flawless writing style. The characters are real, flawed, and relatable. She has a way of making you connect and feel like you are going through all of the angst, drama, passion, and emotions that the characters are feeling. I cannot wait to see what is next.
Neat by Kandi Steiner is a small town romance that is oh so good! Seriously, you will experience all the feels with this story. Logan Becker and Mallory Scooter are the Romeo and Juliet of their small Tennessee town, coming from warring families that work together at the local whiskey distillery. When they are thrown together at work, Logan and Mallory can’t deny their chemistry but they both know that their families will never except their friendship much less anything more.
Kandi Steiner has an amazing, descriptive writing style that pulls you into the story, makes you fall hard and fast for the characters and experience every emotion right along with them. This is the second story in the Becker brothers series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Trust me though, you’ll want to read brother Noah’s story and all of the stories that are yet to come. I can’t wait for more!
I am so loving this series! I loved On The Rocks and was blown away by Neat. One aspect I particularly adore about these books is how close a family and loyal the Beckers are.
Logan & Mallory couldn’t be more opposite and are SO perfect for each other in every way.
From sweet to sexy to humorous to serious this book has it all! I was captivated from the beginning and could not put it down!!
And the mystery that is ever so slowly unravelling?! I can’t wait until all is revealed!
How long until Michael’s book?!!! I am definitely going to be waiting impatiently!!
Neat is the second book about the Becker brothers. Logan and Mallory’s family have been in a family feud for years. Mallory has just moved back to town and is working closely with Logan. Their attraction is instant and they’ll have some pretty big obstacles to overcome if they want to be together.
Logan is amazing! Like a top book boyfriend. He’s sweet, caring, hot and a little quirky. Mallory is the rebel with a heart of gold. Neat sucked me in from page one and I cannot wait to see where the author take us next. There are some answers to some big questions we need!
And just like that, Kandi has done it again. This book felt different from Kandi’s other books but in an amazing way. From the moment you meet Logan Becker the lead tour guide at the distillery and Mallory Scooter the owner’s daughter, you will be so intrigued by where their story is going to go. I loved the Romeo and Juliet feel that this story had. But will Logan and Mallory get their happy ending? You definitely need to read this book to find out. Even though this is a stand-alone, I also suggest checking out On the Rocks if you haven’t read that. You won’t want to miss Noah Becker’s story as well.
Wow!! I absolutely loved Logan and Mallory’s story. Lots of chemistry, laughter, tears Every thing. I can’t wait to see who’s next. One of my favorite quotes from tbe book.
” Not even if you robbed a bank and tried to get away in a go kart”. Haha
I’m completely amazed in Kandi’s talent in using beautiful words to make a simple plot flourish and effortlessly give us a story that was heartfelt, arresting, and poignant. I’m totally in love with Neat , the second book of the Becker Brothers. It was a modern day Romeo and Juliet love story filled with complex and lovable characters, genuine dialogues and a well-developed plot.
Logan and Mallory were from two rivalry families in the small town Stratford. They never got to know each other while they were growing up, but when an unexpected opportunity arise, chemistry sparked and passion flared. Logan and Mallory were like two pieces of puzzle that fitted perfectly together. She was the messy chaos to his OCD-planning, the art to his logic, the spontaneity and unexpected to his day-to-day routine. However, they knew their family would not approved of their relationship and their dreams would be jeopardized if they were found to be together.
My heart broken for this star-crossed couple. The pushing/pulling and the internal struggles that they encountered were agonizing. I can feel the despair and turmoil that they experienced when they were stuck in between what their heart wanted and what was deemed right by their family. I cannot help but fell in love with Logan. His kindness and consideration were so swoon-worthy. His vulnerability and authenticity to his feelings made him so much more realistic.
Along the way to witness another Becker boys found his love, we made a little headway in solving the mystery of the boy’s father, John Becker’s death. I really wish the boys could get the needed closure and justice. Hopefully, the truth would also end this decade long feud between the Becker and Scooter families.
I was again blown away by Kandi’s ability to make me feel what the character was feeling with this beautifully written story. I absolutely enjoyed this touching, earnest romance and would recommend it for anyone who enjoys an angst read that would pull on your heartstrings in the best possible way.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I absolutely loved the newest romance by Kandi Steiner. Neat is at the center has two great characters with Logan and Mallory. A classic Romeo and Juliet story where the family’s hate each other but Logan as always noticed, now Mallory is working for Logan and she is not happy. The more the time these two spend together the more their seemingly differences start to fade.
All in all Neat is a great addition to Ms Steiner’s library of great romances.
I absolutely loved Logan and Mallory! Oh my goodness, this book had me seriously addicted!!! I couldn’t get enough of their banter, irresistible attraction and sizzling chemistry!
It had all the things I’ve always loved about Kandi’s books – beautiful thoughtful love stories with hidden lessons written in the most honest way.
I found Neat to be on the more light hearted side; it was different and fresh. It definitely has its angsty bits, though not as much as her usual book.
I enjoyed the background mystery plot that was weaved throughout the book, and I’m intrigued to see what comes of it in the series.
These Becker brother have me hooked!!
I LOVED it! I’d totally recommend this.
This book is FIRE. Queen of Angst does it again and leaves me begging for more. Kandi’s ability to develop characters and how she envelops you in the world she has created knows no bounds. The world she introduced us to in On The Rocks got a bit bigger and even more vivid with Neat.
Neat is book two in an anticipated 4 book series. The first book, On The Rocks, shares a plot line but does not necessarily need to be read (though you 100% should!!!) prior to reading Neat.
Mallory and Logan just might be my new favorite book couple. The rebellious and border line unmanageable behavior of Mallory had me unsure whether or not I liked her for a bit. Logan is the good guy who happens to have a reputation that does not suit him. He is incredibly sweet, a bit of book nerd, and a family guy. Further in the book you get a better understanding for why Mallory is the way she is. I fell in love with their connection especially with the forbidden aspect of it all!
The Becker family is hands down my favorite I have read to date. Again that world Kandi has created has me pining for more, needing to sit at their dinner table on Sunday’s, and hug their momma. I just can’t wait for book 3 of this series!!
Such a fantastic book! Kandi swept me off my feet with Neat and made me fall madly in love with Mallory and Logan! If you are looking for an intricate small-town Romeo-and-Juliet kind of love story, Neat is exactly what you need in life!
If you’ve read Kandi’s previous book, On The Rocks, you already know Logan as one of the Becker brothers. His image or rather the persona he shows to people in the town is quite different from who he really is. Sweet, kind, nerdy boy who just wants to keep his family legacy alive. But here comes Mallory, the daughter of his boss and also his family’s biggest enemy. Like Logan, Mallory is also slightly misunderstood by people around her. She is a very spirited girl whose goals and dreams are quite different than what her father intended. Mallory has made some rather difficult choices in life that would help her reach her dreams sooner rather than later and she is coping with the consequences.
Both Mallory and Logan are very strong characters on their own, but together they created a perfect dynamic. They had burning chemistry, amazing chatter and oh so many swoon worthy moments between them. Kandi developed a great plot line and gave these characters the greatness they deserved. The story it self is quite emotional. We get insight into their past to understand what makes them who they are in present. For those who already know the Becker brothers – you will get to read more about them in Neat!
This book is definitely one of Kandi’s best works. She put her heart into this one and it shows. As per her usual amazing self, her writing style is quite special – she has a way of making the emotion pour out of every line. Neat is a great example of that!
Definitely get a glass of a good old whiskey, sit back and enjoy this 5-star-book!
I didn’t think that Kandi could top On The Rocks, but here we are! I absolutely loved Neat! Logan Becker is on my list for favorite book boyfriends! He was intense, broody but also so swoon worthy! Between the intense forbidden romance to the mystery of John’s death, this book had it all. I definitely related to Mallory’s character. She’s outspoken, creative and original. I can’t wait for Manhattan! Thank you Kandi for another amazing book!
Loved it! Beautiful words, beautiful characters, hot romance and a little mystery. 4.5 stars. A Scooter girl and a Becker boy? The world will come to an end! Or maybe not. What a ying yang couple the least rowdiest of the Becker bad boys, Logan and the black sheep Scooter girl, Mallory make. He’s a little OCD and she’s a hot mess! Logan’s secret crush lands in his office to claim a place at the family’s distillery (but not really) and turns his orderly life upside down. It doesn’t take long before the sparks fly and that sexy Becker boy is melting the panties off the Scooter girl. Ooh, he’s hot with some mad bedroom skills! Mallory is so much more than what everyone thinks and Logan discovers the real girl beneath the outwardly appearance and town gossip. She a terrific character with an artist’s heart and soul that draws Logan in. Beautifully written forbidden romance with delicious characters in Logan and Mallory, the mystery of Dad Becker’s death continues and more Scooter dirty dealings are revealed. It’s emotional and sweet and just a lovely read. A great second story in the series and two more Becker boys to go. Can’t wait! Such a great family in the Beckers. Fabulous series! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Neat by Kandi Steiner is the story of Mallory Scooter and Logan Becker.
This story is like a modern day Romeo and Juliet story but with a happy ending and intense chemistry. When you to know Logan you really see how he is a great guy. I loved how Logan and his brothers cared for their mother and each other even though they have their struggles. Mallory comes across as a spoiled rebellious rich girl. Once you get to see the real Mallory you realize that she is a complete opposite of that. A very fun and enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
