Penny Reid is now one of my favorite authors and I found her through this book. Her characters are always smart and funny (and a little quirky) and Janie and Quin are no exception. I found myself wanting to be part of Janie’s friend group which is the hallmark of a great book IMO. I’ve since gone on to read all of the Knitting in the City books …
Plot was fun, characters quirky, not stereotypical! Have since read more stories by same author. Really fun stories.
Good read. The heroine was funny and realistic.
This book made me laugh out loud with the facts that came out of her mouth.
This is a funny and easy to read novel. The characters are so original and fresh. Everything starts when Jeanie lost her job and her boyfriend the same day, but the handsome security guard in her company approached her at least to get to know her during her walk of shame. She is very particular, funny, smart and has and incredible knitting group …
Highly entertaining fun read.
What a pleasure to pick up a well written, amusing and engrossing book. Written in the first person, the main character Janie give us a look into the way her somewhat mildly autistic mind works. I found myself alternating between a feeling of kinship with her and a desire to help her figure out what to do next. All in all, an enjoyable read. Thank …
Love this whole series. Enjoyed it very much and I would highly recommend it.
“A Smart Romance.” I thought it meant that it was smartly written, but no. The main character is smart, almost obnoxiously so. The first half of the book is really good, but the second half started to get a little annoying. The other books in the series feature her friends as main characters, so I will try at least one more book.
Fun book to read
The title had me hesitant, but as soon as I started reading this book, I could not put it down! The characters are wonderful and I love, love, *love* the heroine, Janie. The relationship between Janie and Quinn solidify my belief that there IS someone out there for everyone. I can totally get her issues and it makes me smile at how she deals with …
Liked it so much I bought the next book.
Very unusual book, but I did read all of it. Not that I cared for the read.
I would not recommend.
A delightful read. Funny and heartwarming with quirky characters.
I did not like the literary effect of this book.
One of my all time favorite books. I have read it several times and I never get tired of it. I look forward to more in this series. I definitely recommend this book, this series and this author. After each reread it still is as funny, sweet and quirky as the first time.
I could not finish this book. The dialogue was very stilted (even from the characters that aren’t intended to be socially awkward). The plot was awful.
I loved this book so hard! I was in such a big reading funk before Istarted this. This is a smart, laugh out loud, warm and fuzzy to thetips of my toes romance. I haven’t enjoyed a book like this is a LONGtime.
From page 1 I was hooked by a thoroughly unique heroine. I could not put this book down and finished it sometime around 2am. I plan on reading it again.
Quirky, fun read.
