SYLVIEHe’s the worst kind of guy.A shameless player, working his way through the entire female population. He’s Douchebag Santa, ladies and gentleman, and I’m forced to work beside him everyday. He’s the last person I would ever want to be around, let alone be with. But he’s relentless, and he’s got his attention set on me.I wish he didn’t, because I’m nowhere near interested.Except for the fact, … interested.
Except for the fact, that maybe, I am.
CARTER
I want her.
She likes to say she’s not interested. She likes to play hard to get, but it’s all a lie.
Her body tells me a different story. She’s just as drawn to me, as I am to her.
She’s not like the other girls. She’s a challenge, It’s a good thing I like a challenge.
She wants me, just as much as I want her.
She just hasn’t realized it yet.

This was a really fun enjoyable read and I really liked it and cannot wait to try more from this author. If you enjoy a good insta-love sweet funny romance then give this a go you will not be disappointed.
This was such a fun holiday read. I found myself laughing and smiling the whole time. It was such an easy, page turner for me, I couldn’t put it down.
It’s like a frat house took over Santa duties at the mall. It seems like everyone is hooking up with everyone. Except Sylvie. Carter views her as a future conquest, then realizes that he wants so much more than just one night with her. They have misunderstandings, but eventually get it their act together. I wasn’t sure about this book when I started, but it turned out to be quite a nice story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story was such fun to read. It’s humorous and lighthearted, snarky and fun. The story starts out with Carter, (he very aptly fits the title character) who is playing Santa at the local mall. Sylvie is playing an Elf and doing everything she can to stay away from Carter. She knows what he’s like and wants nothing to do with him.
As the story goes on, the situations and dialogue get funnier and more intimate. I loved the way Carter and Sylvie floated around each other, there was push and pull and some very steamy scenes. I loved Sylvie’s internal dialogue and how she was frustrated that Carter was not as horrible as she thought. She made me laugh out load, I mean: manwhorisms, LOL. Carter started out as the book title, but the minute he found Sylvie his tuned changed. I loved that he was willing to let go of the past when he found something wonderful in his future.
While this story is on the shorter side its perfect for a lunch time read or when you need a quick pick me up. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it. I look forward to more stories from this author in the future. If you are interested in another good read, Drummer Boy (same author) is fun and it’s the story of the secondary characters from this book.
