like a naughty santa
Lillie got her business degree so that she could come home and take over the family bakery business. She never counted on it burning down and her parents not having insurance or them not paying the taxes for the building. Christopher Tollier is looking to open his next business and he wants it right where the bakery is. He told his business partner to look into buying it from the family working there for him to do whatever it took to get them to sale. Lillie never counted on the business it burning down and her parents not having insurance or them not paying the taxes for the building. Her family moved to Florida leaving her to pack and sale their home and to deal with what remained of the business. Lillie decided to sign up to work at a temp agency and her first job was being an elf to Chris’s Santa. They hit it off and end up in bed. Lillie doesn’t see this as long term because Chris doesn’t want the same things she does. When he asks her along on a trip to Europe with his niece and she goes being a loose ends until she can finish up her family stuff. The trip was great and everything was perfect until reality intruded and Chris cut the trip short to take care of some business. Will Lillie find out about Chris wanting to buy the bakery out before it burned down? Who burned it down? Will Chris figure out his feeling for Lillie before its too late?
This was a great story. It’ll have you turning pages to find out what’s going on and who is involved. The characters have great chemistry and the story is well written. I couldn’t put it down until I was at the end. I would recommend this to my book friends.

Another enjoyable story by Sarah! This time around I really fell in love with Christopher the male lead in the story. He is a great soul and is a wonderful character. He is the owner of Carolina’s Emporium and Tea Room and has just opened his 49th store. When he is already on the lookout for his next store. His minority partner, Steve, who is not necessarily on the good side of things is on the job to find that next store.
That is where Lillie comes in. Lillie’s family owns a local bakery and is excited about taking over it. So when it goes up in flames she is totally devastated. So Lillie’s parents move away and the house goes up for sale. Now Lillie has to get a “real” job. At her temp job is where she meets Christopher.
This is a well-written story with great characters. I really enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
