A standalone novel in the sizzling Lost Harbor, Alaska series
Kate Robinson has had a talent for trouble since she was a young teen in Lost Harbor, Alaska, during summertime visits to her grandmother’s peony farm. It’s the only true home she’s ever known, so it’s where she retreats when REAL trouble chases her out of California, her legal career in ruins. Upon arriving, Kate finds her eccentric … Kate finds her eccentric grandma has rented out her home! First order of business—eviction. So what if it’s a move that could get her shunned by the locals? She’s not known as Naughty Kate for nothing.
Fire Chief Darius Boone doesn’t need to add landlady troubles to his already busy plate, despite how fun it is to battle with C. Robinson, Attorney-at-Law. A series of small fires have been breaking out around Lost Harbor. Nothing harmful. Yet. But the number of blazes is steadily growing. The only thing taking his mind off this latest town drama is fiery Kate, who makes Darius want to be naughty with her…in all the best ways.
Trouble is one thing, but nothing has prepared Kate for the likes of “hottie fire chief” Darius Boone. Why not have some harmless naughty fun while she figures out her next move? But she never expected the heat the two of them would generate—or to fall so hard. The next time trouble strikes, everything she loves is on the line.

Loved Kate. Adored Darius! I have to say, though, my favorite “instigator” character was Kate’s grandmother, Emma…and is she ever a character!
Kate is trying to escape her former life as an attorney, when she lived in California. Darius is the new fire chief in Lost Harbor, where Kate is…hiding out… but there’s another twist to his being in Lost Harbor. Neither of them knows it but the connection is quite a doozy. And you can bet Emma has a finger in whatever is happening, at least in my point of view.
While Kate is working through her troubles that she thinks she left in California (by hiding out in Lost Harbor, Alaska), Darius is settling in to his new job in Lost Harbor. He has a fire bug that is setting small fires around town and while they are just troublesome at this point, they could turn into real danger in a single moment. And when these two figure out the “connection” that they have? It is combustible, in more ways than one. I don’t want to give any spoilers as it was a lot of fun to read the story as it unfolded.
Kate and Darius turn into so much more than their reputations – her as Naughty Kate and his as the Hottie Fire Chief – Kate’s past comes charging in to throw her life into chaos. And Darius, unbeknownst to him, has a big piece of HIS past chasing him as well. Loved these two, great meet-cute (even if it did involve a porcupine, lots of mud and wood blocks!), and they really are there for one another. Really wish I could visit Lost Harbor – it sounds like a great place to people watch.
Another great book by Jennifer Bernard
She just gets better… hotter and more intense
The main characters are well constructed and the storyline is believable
This book can be read as a stand alone or in the series (Alaska) .. it’s up to you!
Romance, raunchy, readable and reviewable!
This is my new favorite book in this series. I have enjoyed the others, but this one really grabbed me. I think that was because of two things: the connection between Kate and Darius and the connection I have formed with the characters in this Alaskan town. Kate and Darius have excellent tension between them, and that holds up in different variations throughout the book. I loved it when they were on the page together because they were funny and hot. I enjoyed the way the plot worked for them, too.
I really like small town series because you get to know lots of people. By now, Lost Harbor has quite a cast, and they add a lot to each book. Maya, for example, grabbed my attention the first time she opened her mouth in Book 1, so I was thrilled that she was highly involved in this book. (And she gets the next story!) S.G. is also fascinating and adds to the flavor of the town. Several other characters make appearances. Also, I love the Alaskan feel of the town. All the little details (mud boots, adjustments people have to make) are so evocative. This series gets better with each book.
Lord and Lady Armor-All
Aaand…. I was once again transported back to Lost Harbor, Misty Bay and the Lost Souls Wilderness in Alaska with its quirky residents.
This time one beautiful, headstrong woman, Kate, meets one very attractive, emotionally closed-off fire chief, Darius. (Totally smitten here)! Their encounters range from muddy, to steamy, to nearly head-butting, but oh, the attraction is undeniable and the chemistry combustible! Throw in an absent mother, a grifter father, a snarky grandmother with a peony farm (Petal to the Metal!), some troubled teenagers, a treasure trove of secrets and mysteries and you get? Naughty All Night!
Great storyline with strong characters and a surprising, heartwarming climax.
Let me introduce you to Darius. Quote:
“Mmm, hmm. Snuggly-riffic,” she repeated. “Cuddle-tastic. You’re even better than a weighted blanket.”
With her trademark descriptive and witty writing style, Ms Bernard delivers another page turner. A terrific read.
Received an ARC and voluntarily leaving a review.
This book has all elements of an intriguing drama with out-of-the-blue surprises and an amazing romance where major sparks between Darius, Lost Harbor’s Fie Chief and Kate, the reformed “naughty” teen to formidable lawyer. They generate intense heat while trying to keep their emotions out of the equation.
There’s witty banter and clever dialogue between all of Lost Harbor’s cast of characters. There’s the interesting family/friend dynamics that are complicated but, full of unconditional love. Kate’s grandmother, Emma is a riot! There’s mystery and arson. And, there’s a happy ending that is so incredibly satisfying that you will be glad you read this book.
I love this series and I was very excited to read hottie fire chief, Darius’s story!
After two disastrous relationships, Darius isn’t interested in anything but fighting fires, playing hockey and the occasional date. When he meets his new landlord, he can’t deny their intense attraction but Kate is just as wary of relationships as he is. Suddenly their lives are more and more intertwined but what brought them together may be the very things that tear them apart.
This book has so much heart, steam and suspense! I loved every single minute of Kate and Darius’s story! I can’t wait for Maya’s story next.
Book – good. Witty. Sexy. Captivating. Good.
You have to read the book to get the reference. You won’t be disappointed!
I won an ARC from the author. This is my unbiased review.
Oh, the verbal foreplay! There’s nothing I like more than witty double entendres between a hero and heroine. Well, up close and personal time, as well as a bit of suspense also make for an excellent story, as well.
So my 5 star rating of Naughty All Night should not be surprising, since this book has all that and more! Kate is saucy and funny, with a quick lawyerly mind and a smart attitude. Not surprising, given her feisty, peony-growing grandma, who raised her during the summer of her youth. Darius is my favorite kind of hero…super caliente firefighter with a kind heart and a dirty talking mouth. These who grabbed me from page one and didn’t let go, even after the book ended.
While I’ve enjoyed the series since book one, Naught All Night can be read as a stand-alone, but I think new readers will want to go back and savor the rest. Bernard brings Lost Harbor, Alaska to life and give those of us in the Lower 48 and beyond a small but tantalizing taste of our 49th state. It’s not all snow and wilderness, folks. It’s small towns, beautiful scenery, friendly people and great romance. Book me a ticket there now!
Wow! Kate and Darius were so much fun to read. Kate has moved back to Lost Harbor to help her grandma Emma with her peony farm and to hide from trouble back in California. Darius first meets Kate when he helps get her unstuck from the mud on the side of the road and is immediately taken with her wit and beauty. Then the fun really begins: sexy bass playing, a black cowboy hat, a failed eviction, a trip to California with body guard duties and a fifteen year old surprise and you have a smart, sexy and satisfying read. Grab and enjoy!
Lost Harbor, Alaska is the hottest fictional town in the states! This town has the best characters and each book keeps me smiling and turning the pages. “Naughty” Kate Robinson has returned to Lost Harbor after leaving behind a lucrative legal career in Los Angeles to help out her grandmother on her peony farm. None of her summer high school friends are buying that so why did she really return? Lost Harbor fire chief Darius Boone runs into Kate on the side of the road and helps her out. There’s an instant attraction but what neither one realizes is that Kate is Darius’ landlord and she wants to take over his apartment. Can two people who start off on the wrong foot become something more? And what has caused Kate to leave behind the bright lights of L.A.? And what about Darius and his string of bad relationships? Well they say strange things happen in the Lost Harbor wilderness and in Naughty All Night lots of things happen, strange and otherwise! This was a fun, low angst, hot and steamy contemporary romance that stands alone in the series but I enjoyed the other books and characters so much that I recommend reading them all. It was told from dual POV and I cannot wait to see whose story is next in Lost Harbor.
Naughty All Night is book five in the Lost Harbor series. I loved the chemistry between Kate and Darius. The story kept me hooked, and I couldn’t put it down. A definite must-read!
This series really makes me want to move to Alaska. Or at least visit there during the warmer months. The little town of Lost Harbor is vivid enough to be it’s own character in the book, and the colorful secondary characters certainly keep things lively.
Kate Robinson has returned to her grandmother’s home, the place she spent many summers growing up, after leaving a heap of trouble behind in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, her grandmother has rented Kate’s house and she’s been emailing back and forth with her tenant, trying to evict him. The only problem is that Kate’s tenant and the town’s fire chief, Darius, keeps coming to Kate’s rescue, so how can she kick him out?
Each new book in this series is my new favorite because the stories just keep getting better. This one is fun and flirty but with plenty of heart and a good dose of steam. The chemistry is electric, and the element of mystery kept me glued to the page. Get your copy and plan your visit to Lost Harbor today, because you won’t want to miss this one.
This is another fantastic addition to the Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Kate returns to Lost Harbor, after quitting her job to represent her criminal father. After she got him a very good deal, she no longer feels safe there. Emma, her grandmother, has a peony farm and Kate has always loved it there. While driving, she gets stuck in the mud and a gorgeous man rescues her. She doesn’t know it’s the man she’s trying to evict from her duplex. They’ve been emailing each other. Darius is the Lost Harbor Fire Chief and he play the bass occasionally. Maya Badger, the Police Chief, is one of a Kate’s best friends and when she calls and invites her to the Moose is Loose for some live music, she goes. The bassist is her rescuer from earlier. She decides to go talk to him, but things don’t end how she expected. No spoilers, but I will say this story isn’t just a romance story, it’s also got suspense and a couple of surprises in store for us. I can’t wait to read the next book Jennifer Bernard has for us.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Quick read with plenty of steam and a little mystery and intrigue.
Kate is trying to escape her past with her Grandmother in Lost Harbor, Alaska. Darius is dealing with a firebug and still proving himself as the new Fire Chief in town. Both of them are over romance…except when it comes to each other.
The Lost Harbor series is sexy small town romance with just a touch of a cozy mystery and I can’t get enough. I really loved the mystery and intrigue in this one and getting to see S.G. flourishing.
I can’t wait for Maya’s story!
I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.
Kate leaves her life in California and go visit her grandmother in Lost Harbor, Alaska, where she used to spend all summer vacations and stir trouble. This time she is running from trouble.
First thing she has to do is to evict person living in the apartment, in her house.
Too bad she has hots for him.
Darius is twice divorce, fire chief in Lost Harbor, Alaska. He is very attracted to Kate. First he has to deal with series of small fires, finding person responsible for them.
When he finds person responsible for fires, his world is turned upside down.
This story is wonderful, loved everything about it.
I absolutely love the town of Lost Harbor. I would love to live there with all of the characters of the Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Darius and Kate were opposites that were clearly attracted to each other. This was a sweet, fun, and really hysterical book. I mean laugh until you cry, funny, with all of Kate’s antics. I enjoyed this book so much.
Jennifer Bernard’s series have a way of pulling you in and imagining that you actually live in the book and are one of the characters. I can never wait until the next book. This is one that is not to be missed. This is book 5 in this series, it can be read as a standalone but it much more enjoyable when read in series order.
The witty retorts, the heated back and forths, the punny innuendos…I absolutely loved Naughty All Night and the matchup between the spitfire Kate and the fire chief Darius. Get your fan ready because their chemistry will heat you from the inside out!
There is nothing better than pithy, slightly dirty, verbal foreplay. A well spoken man is super hot!! (fanning myself) Kate Robinson is a lawyer from LA, well versed in verbal back and forths, but when Darius Boone, the fire chief of Lost Harbor, Alaska steps in to help her out of a muddy jam, he seems to up her verbal sparring game. The hot flashes she has around him are just an added bonus and not the fires he actually puts out. While she was hoping to have a quick fling with the hot man, she’s not one for long term relationships.
Darius came to Alaska after his last divorce, he needed a change of scenery since he was now down two marriages. When he meets Kate he’s certainly drawn to the feisty woman and wouldn’t be opposed to some naughty, good times with her, but he is far from looking at forever. Been there and done that, been singed by the divorce papers.
They may finally agree to a fling, but things get complicated when things in the town heat up. Lost Harbor is a small town and even though they both came there for sanctuary, one of them may not stay once the fires are put out.
Getting naughty with a hot fireman makes this story awesome!
This is the story of fire chief Darius Boone and naughty Kate Robinson. I loved these two from the very beginning. Kate had such fire and passion and it was hard not to like her from the first moment you read about her. Add in a hot and hunky fireman and this story just exploded and I could not put it down. You’ll also love the secondary characters that you’ll meet and read about and how well they tie into the story. There were times I was chuckling over things that happened to Kate and other times I was silently cheering her on for all the crap that she has had to overcome in her life. Darius was the perfect man for her and I loved how he was able to read her and understand her. Plus the chemistry between these two was off the charts. I thought the last book was my favorite out of this series, but this one just surpassed that one. Keep them coming Jennifer!
What another great entry in this series. We finally get our fire cheifs story. Loved it. This story had great chemistry between our main characters that drew me in and didnt let go. It even had a twist I wasnt expecting and that added to my enjoyment. Jennifer has such a great way of telling stories that I simply can not put down. She is an automatic read for me. Chemistry, laughs, great all around characters and an interesting storyline are all wrapped up in this book.
Absolutely loved this fun sexy story. It’s a great addition to the series. Everyone I read is my new favorite. Great characters and supporting characters. Loved the storyline. Very well written and easy to read. Definitely recommend reading this book, it is a standalone but definitely recommend the series as well. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
