A standalone novel in the sizzling Lost Harbor, Alaska series
Kate Robinson has had a talent for trouble since she was a young teen in Lost Harbor, Alaska, during summertime visits to her grandmother’s peony farm. It’s the only true home she’s ever known, so it’s where she retreats when REAL trouble chases her out of California, her legal career in ruins. Upon arriving, Kate finds her eccentric … Kate finds her eccentric grandma has rented out her home! First order of business—eviction. So what if it’s a move that could get her shunned by the locals? She’s not known as Naughty Kate for nothing.
Fire Chief Darius Boone doesn’t need to add landlady troubles to his already busy plate, despite how fun it is to battle with C. Robinson, Attorney-at-Law. A series of small fires have been breaking out around Lost Harbor. Nothing harmful. Yet. But the number of blazes is steadily growing. The only thing taking his mind off this latest town drama is fiery Kate, who makes Darius want to be naughty with her…in all the best ways.
Trouble is one thing, but nothing has prepared Kate for the likes of “hottie fire chief” Darius Boone. Why not have some harmless naughty fun while she figures out her next move? But she never expected the heat the two of them would generate—or to fall so hard. The next time trouble strikes, everything she loves is on the line.

I loved this book. Can’t wait to see more. I just love reading Jennifer Bernard books read every one she wrote.
I LOVE this series!!! And for some reason I can’t stop thinking about NAUGHTY ALL NIGHT. I finished this book within a day, and it’s still on my mind now days later. I waited to write my review because I thought maybe something was bugging me about the story….or something hadn’t yet settled. But nope it’s just that it’s soooo GOOD that I keep reliving Naughty Kate and Hot Darius’s story over and over. The connection between these two is off the charts. The way they “meet” both online and in person….it’s sooo great. Kate is looking to get away from the things she doesn’t want to face in her “real” life in Ca, and has always felt like Lost Harbor and her Grandmother were her only real home. Darius is still trying to find his place as the new Fire Chief in Lost Harbor, coming from Texas it’s a big change but one he’s loving. The people, the place, the whole feeling of Lost Harbor is home to both of them. But neither is ready to find a relationship or fall in love. Life is too hard right now for that much added stress and struggle. However life has a way of giving us what we least want just when we most need it. I absolutely loved watching these two and the people around them not only deal with mystery unfolding in Lost Harbor but also the dangers that still exist in Ca. Lost Harbor feels like a real place, one I’d love to visit. Full of people, characters, animals, stories…..so much that you just want to go visit and watch and learn from these people. Darius and Kate feel like real friends you are watching grown, learn, and love. The story that draws them together and pulls them apart is refreshing, engaging, well-written, and sigh worthy. They share a steamy, hot romance but also one that’s somehow sweet. Adding in the connection to characters from previous stories that you may already love and you have a story that just gives you everything you need. I swear I want a shirt from Lost Harbor that says “strange things happen in Lost Harbor”……I need that shirt. ROFL. Fans of this series are in for another great hit from author Jennifer Bernard. If you are new to this series/author, don’t worry you won’t be lost. The story reads well as a stand alone however it does give you enough of a look at other characters to want to know their stories. There is a bit of a continuing story arc for one character, a little girl named SG. You get enough of her back story that I don’t feel like you’d be lost about her, however reading the series from the beginning and getting a first look at SG in previous stories I feel like you connect with her story a little more. You get to see her grow throughout each new story she’s in. Otherwise the biggest connection for each story is the connection between people in a small town. I can’t help but fall in love all over again with Lost Harbor, Alaska each time I read a new book in the series. I’m so eager for the next release. I hope this series is one of those that never seems to end. Jennifer Bernard is a master at writing small town romances that leave you feeling like they are real and leave you wanting to visit these small towns. Fans of small town romances with some heat, a little mystery, but above all a LOVE story will adore this one. NAUGHTY ALL NIGHT will keep you up all night reading and leave you smiling! Highly recommended!!!
Jennifer Bernard is a master storyteller! Love the humor, steam and heart in every book!
Darius is the hottie fire chief who moved to Lost Harbor from Texas. Kate is a lawyer returning to the place she spent the summers of her youth visiting her grandmother. There is some witty banter as these two meet then realize that he is the tenant she has been trying to evict. The chemistry between them is instant. I loved how they connect emotionally very early in their relationship when Kate shares her past and the threats against her with him. I adore Darius’ protective streak toward Kate, the town, and other people he cares about. I really loved Kate’s relationship with Emma. I appreciated that Emma was the steadying force in Kate’s life despite not fitting into a traditional grandmother mold. I really admired Kate’s strength to overcome and to achieve the success she found. I always love a hero who is a gentle giant, and Darius is definitely that guy. He made me swoon. The heat between these two is substantial as they live up to the book’s title. There are some surprises along the way, and some danger to overcome, but that makes their HEA is especially sweet in this adorable little town.
This book is written in third person from a dual POV.
A great continuation of the Lost Harbor series!! There is so much depth to both of the MC of Darius and Kate that I felt like these were people I could easily be friends with IRL. The somewhat madcap scenes mixed in with the more serious situations gave this book just the right balance. Add in the so very hot spiciness factor and you end up with a book that is worth reading often and one to add to your keeper library!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
In her Lost Harbor, Alaska series, Jennifer Bernard has created a town and characters that make you eager to return and visit awhile, and Book 5, NAUGHTY ALL NIGHT, is no exception. Kate Robinson spent summers in Lost Harbor with her Grandmother and it was the only place she felt safe and comfortable. When she makes a decision that puts her life in danger, she flees her life and heads to the safety of Lost Harbor and her Grandmother. The last thing she plans on is getting involved with anyone, much less Lost Harbor’s Fire Chief. Darius Boone has been there, done that, and has no plans for a serious relationship with anyone, ever. When two get together, sparks fly. Toss in mysterious fires and the danger that brought Kate to Lost Harbor, and Bernard puts together another story full of romance and humor.
This was another winner by Jennifer Bernard, and I can’t wait to see whose story we will get next. If you haven’t read any of the series, don’t fret, you won’t be lost, all of them can stand alone, but you shouldn’t miss any of them!
Thanks to the publisher for an Advanced Copy of the novel. All of the opinions are my own.

Naughty All Night by Jennifer Bernard is the 5th book in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series and my favorite so far! I absolutely loved seeing the relationship develop between Kate and Darius. They have great chemistry and I could not put this book down once I started it. The story made me both laugh and cry. This book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire series. You will not be disappointed. Another winner by Jennifer Bernard!
Kate, a hot shot attorney in Los Angeles, finds herself stuck in the mud on the side of the rode on her way to Lost Harbor. Kate left LA in a hurry, afraid for her life. So she’s not exactly prepared for mud season in Alaska. In her high heels and leather jacket, she makes for an interesting site when Darius stops to help. Not sure whether to trust Darius, she “arms” herself with bear spray. Although Darius finds Kate attractive and amusing, he also KNOWS she’s high maintenance—especially when she takes off without so much as a thank you. So he heads off to perform his set at the local bar.
Darius, the new Fire Chief of Lost Harbor, considers himself somewhat “broken” in the love/relationship department. Having been married and divorced twice, he’s vowed to NEVER give his heart to anyone again. When quirky Kate stumbles into his life, he might just have to change his plans. She’s funny, talkative, kind, and a hard worker (she helps her grandmother out at the peony farm). And she’s somehow worked her way under Darius’ skin. When a string of mysterious fires breaks out, Kate believes trouble has followed her from LA to Lost Harbor. She can’t and won’t allow anything to happen to the town and family she loves. So she makes plans to leave…
Kate, Darius, and the Kama Sutra rug were hilarious! Kate’s ability to talk about everything and nothing at the same time was humorous. I loved the unique twist at the end. I thought I had the mystery figured out, but was so wonderfully wrong! LOVED the story and can’t wait to read Maya’s story. This is a complete stand-alone and you do not have to read the other novels to understand the story. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
I really liked this book. I love this series. The characters are always great. There’s lots of emotion and a touch of mystery. I’m always excited to read another book about this town and its wonderful people.
I love visiting Lost Harbor and this is no exception. A story full of emotion, romance and mystery. Daruis is the new fire chief of Lost Harbor and the last thing on his mind is a forever romance even when meeting new comer, Kate. Kate, happens to be his new landlord when she leaves her troubles behind in California. As they work together to solve the small fires that are strating around town they can’t deny the hot chemistry that they share.
This was a hard book to put down, loved the characters. So full of emotions and friendships through out the story. This is part of series, but can be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book.
I absolutely loved this book and my repeat visit to Lost Harbor, Alaska which has become my home away from home, especially with the threat of Covid 19 in the lower 49. Kate and Darius are a great match with their witty banter and sizzling sexual chemistry. The question is whether or not they can leave the pain of their past lives behind and take a chance on finding something better together. I especially enjoyed the peony farming tutorial, Kate’s comical girlfriends and as always, the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness. I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
Any time that I can spend in Lost Harbor, Alaska is always time well spent. Finally we get Darius’ story, a small town fire chief who is put at odds with Kate as she returns to Alaska to escape repercussions of her last court case. I can’t remember a time when I laughed so hard while reading. Charming characters, antics that make you laugh, and a town that at times feels like a secondary character of it’s own. Naughty all Night, is a fast and fun read. Each story in the Lost Harbor series can be read as a standalone, but you really should read them in order for the full effect.
I really love this series.
Lots of drama and surprises in every book. Definitely keeps you coming back for more.
Kate & Darius are fantastic together!
What a fabulous story! Darius is not going tonfall in love again, so he keeps telling himself. Too bad Kate has a way of getting to him. Their relationship was great and i loved the bamter between them. I love this series.
Quick read with some romance and little bit of suspense and a fun little town.
Jennifer Bernard continues to create fun characters with romance and a little mystery along the way.
Kate and Darius get out to a rocky start as they have been emailing each other back and forth for a few weeks but did not know who either one was. Mix in their friend Mya Badger who leads them one step further before they figure out how they really know each other.
This series just gets better with each book. I can’t wait for Mya’s book and to read more about the mysterious S.G.
Naughty All Night is the fifth book in Jennifer Bernard’s Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Previously we were introduced to Fire Chief, Darius Boone. He’d befriended SG, a minor, who sought refuge in his fire house. Now, he’s being evicted from his apartment via email.
During mud season as he’s driving about, he comes across a car stuck precariously in the mud. He rescues Kate Robinson and never looks back, that is until he discovers who she is.
Kate’s world has turned upside down. She has run away from her life in LA and has taken up residence with her grandmother, Emma, a peony farmer.
When Kate decides to seek residence in the home she owns, she is shocked to discover that her mud rescuer is not only the person she is seeking to evict but also the man she almost had a one- night stand with.
Will Kate come to grips with her reasons for leaving LA? As Darius deals with a shocking surprise, will he discover his true feelings for Kate?
Naughty All Night is a standalone book that is filled with so many wonderful moments. Ms. Bernard seamlessly weaves the cast of characters from past stories into this book. I highly suggest reading Naughty All Night along with the rest of the books in the series. I received an advance copy which I chose to read and review. This is my honest opinion.
Bernard had me hooked from the beginning. Not-quite-enemies to lovers with a whole lot of heart. A side mystery plot further deepens the story. I love my visits to Lost Harbor and this is no exception.
Kate moves to Alaska from California after some bad things went down from her being her Father’s Attorney. Darius is the Fire Chief and her tenant at the house her Grandma gave her. Grandma Emma is a peony farmer, and Kate helps her. Darius and the fire department is still working on the arson fires that someone in Lost Harbor keeps setting. Kate has to go to LA for a deposition in a case, the one connecter to her Father, so she takes Darius as her bodyguard. She gives her deposition, and that’s the end of that.
A boy named Dylan shows up, turns out Darius got his ex pregnant, and she didn’t tell him. Darius moves him in, and tries to teach him hockey, specifically how to skate first, which doesn’t happen.
We find out who has been setting fires, and Darius and Kate say 3 little words.
S.G. wants to find her family, which Maya will help her with, probably in the next book titled Love at First Light.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Catriona Fletcher is a Los Angeles-based attorney whose star was rising in the firm she worked at. Kate Richardson is a part-time peony farmer (who knew there was such a thing) in Lost Harbor, Alaska, crashing at her eccentric grandmother’s place. Catriona is all work and all about brunch with the girls; Kate is still trying to live down her “Naughty Kate” title from her teen years visiting her grandma. What is astonishing is that seemingly straitlaced Catriona and Naughty Kate are one in the same!
Naughty All Night is a wonderful “all-the-time” addition to the Lost Harbor series by Ms. Bernard! With such an intriguing heroine as Kate, who could match her stride for stride in complexity and personality? None other than Lost Harbor’s hunky Fire Chief Darius Boone! Darius has made appearances throughout the series but remained a quiet mystery. With his Texas drawl and black cowboy hat, the town has come to embrace Darius as one of their own. And with Naughty Kate considered a Lost Harbor-ite herself, everyone in town is “shipping” these two!
As always, Ms. Bernard’s writing, plotting, and pacing is spot-on. Both Kate and Darius have backstories that are quite different, yet both heartbreaking. Sure, there is drama and tears, but also a lot of laughter, wit, and romancing! I just loved this book and cannot wait for the next visit to Lost Harbor. Please get to the writing Jennifer Bernard!
There is something truly appealing about Darius’s attitude to Kate’s attempting to evict him – it gives new meaning to immovable object. Kate feels that her life is falling apart, and she heads back to Lost Harbor – which is a bonus for the readers because we get to visit with old friends again, as well as making new ones. It’s particularly special to see SG again and see her development, and she plays a particularly important part in Darius’s story. Kate’s grandmother too is aspirational; I want to be her! I really don’t want to give the storyline away, so I’ll just end by saying that this is definitely one of the best Lost Harbor books; it’s also a standalone, so don’t panic if you haven’t read the others; and its ending is heartwarming.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
