This story deals a bit with PTSD. Conner a former soldier and Jessie make a good couple.
After Conner gets custody of Peyton after a terrible tragedy, he hires Jessie as her nanny. As time goes on they fall in love with each other but Conner keeps his biggest secret from her.
This story centers mostly around that and how the characters find each other after all.
It was a fast read, fun with a bit of action. It does contain a few sad moments and a couple of light ones.
Well done.

I’ve read and loved all of Meg Ripley’s bear shifter books and this time she’s outdone herself. The characters are engaging and complex, especially Connor. The close bear clan relationship and support and Connor’s emotional struggles added depth to the story. I definitely recommend this story to anyone who likes shifter romances. Nanny For The Soldier Bear Shifter Nation: Werebears Of The Everglades
by Meg Ripley
WOW! This Is Just Awesome! Meg Ripley fans are in for a real treat!
I’ve been a fan of Meg Ripley Werebears Of The Everglades series from the first book. This author creates an intriguing shifter world of and adds original elements of the paranormal with just the right touch of romance. Her writing is beautiful, evoking all of the senses. The featured couples are incredibly interesting and so well developed, the sexual tension between the main characters is delectable. When these characters finally get together, they sizzle.Nanny For The Soldier Bear Shifter Nation focuses on Connor and his mate Jessie. Connor has been through a lot. The events of being a soldier have deeply scarred him, both physically and mentally. Jessie went to college to become a teacher but she hasn’t been able to find a job in her own town, her sister inform her where she live there is a lot of schools that are in need of teachers so she moved. This unlikely pairing is fraught with problems, namely that these two characters tried to fight off their mutual attraction. I enjoyed how the author allowed their relationship to unfold. I enjoy the fact that you can read these books in any order. There’s plenty of suspense, and sexy times to keep you entertained. I am totally captivated with the mystery from the first page and had to discover their secrets. I couldn’t put my reader down until the very end. It was such a great read and the chemistry between Jessie and Connor is fantastic! I really liked these characters even though I felt sorry for Connor at first. The book is great from beginning to end and I absolutely enjoyed this book and this series too!!!This series just gets better and better as you read it. I’m so very excited that there are more books in this series to read.

I couldn’t stop reading this book.
This book touches on so many aspects that draw the reader in first in the storyline then in the characters then through the emotional pain that;s endured. Jessie has finally finished college and heading to join her sister. Her career is sidelined when she takes on the job of nanny to a little girl. Her uncle, Connor, is a total delicious dish but has so many demons through his PTSD. Slowly but surely Jessie helps not only the small child but Connor to heal. But things aren;t what they seem and dangers can threaten.
Fantastic story and a good insight into every soldier’s curse.

Letting Go
I will say this book is definitely a departure from her usual style. I’m sure other readers may disagree with that particular statement. I felt this book was deeper on the emotion level. Conner is a shifter she is still dealing with the trauma he suffered while serving in the military. Because of the things that he saw, live through, and experience she has developed a shell of protection that and its own way is causing more harm than good. So when a life-altering and so damaging event occurs in his life he doesn’t cope well.
The only come to Jesse female lead in this story. Jesse has been protected and content to live in her small town without much change in her life. She’s been scared to venture out beyond the boundaries until the lack of employment forces her to make changes in her life. Little did she know that the move will open up a new world that she didn’t know existed now that’s not to say she won’t make some choices long-term repercussions will she be able to roll with the punches and take a chance?

I have enjoyed all of Meg Ripley’s shifter books and this one is exceptional and worth reading. She has created characters that have depth and a vulnerability that a reader can relate to. Conner fights his inner demons in the form of PTSD daily and then becomes guardian of his niece, Peyton, through tragic circumstances. To help guide him through these changes, Conner hires a nanny named Jessie who understands Peyton and begins to help her heal. In doing so, she gets close to Conner. This book has a HEA ending and it makes her heart joyful.

Jessie after getting her teaching degree decides to leave her small town to live in a larger one where the jobs are more plentiful and she can be near her sister. After arriving Jessie is offered a job to be a nanny to Peyton a little girl who lost both her parents. She is reluctant at first but because she wants to help decides to do it. Conner is Peyton’s uncle, he is trying to not only deal with the loss of his brother and sister-in-law but he suffers from PTSD from his tours in Afghanistan. I really enjoyed this book it was well written and had strong likable characters. An interesting and entertaining read that kept my interest from beginning to end.

I did not really enjoy this book. The story was well written, but the characters did not do it for me. I am looking forward to the next book because I really enjoy reading the series.
