“One of the BEST FRIENDS TO LOVERS romance reads!” – Lamplight He’s the hottest handyman on TV, but he only has eyes for his best friend.Kit Carlyle isn’t just some woman. Beautiful? Yep. Seductive? Damn straight. She’s also my best friend and my co-worker. But, hell, I’m a guy with a pulse. But when her cousin dies and leaves her with a long as hell and sexy bucket list, Kit turns to me for a helping hand. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a woman in need. Besides, I’m not about to let another man steal away my girl, occupy her bed, or fill my shoes.
But as the stakes get higher and the items become hotter, I’ll have to face the toughest challenge of all: admitting I want more than Kit’s friendship. I want to make her mine.

Chelle and Eden have come together in this fabulous new book to create two characters that take the idea of best friend turn to lovers, and create a loveable duo in Kit and Kane.
Kane is one of the best alpha men I have read in a while. He knows what he wants, and isn’t afraid to go after it. But he’s afraid to go after the one woman he wants for fear of losing the best relationship he’s ever had.
Kit has goals in life–her dear cousin, who passed away suddenly, left her a bucket list of things to do. The emotional pull that develops between these two characters after Kane helps Kit in completing this list will melt your heart and make you yearn for more.
Chelle and Eden did a phenomenal job in writing this book, and I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out!
Favorite Quotes:
Kiel was slick, always had some woman on the side because he was a good-looking dude and he could talk a preacher into a porno subscription.
I winked at her, and I decided just then to wink at her as much as I could. The effect made my gut flutter like a virgin groom getting a lap dance at his bachelor party.
My Review:
Sizzle and snap! Nailed Down was an amusing and cleverly written slow burn adult romance that was a fun and sexy read while also managing to have little actual sex in it, but once they finally hit the sheets – wowza… the linens were scorched beyond repair! I adored this original and entertaining story as much as it enjoyed the quirky cast of characters. I smirked, snorted, and sighed my way through this sweet and steamy tale.
Kane Kaino is a man that garners attention from those around him. Kathryn “Kit” Carlyle has to honor a request. Kit’s cousin was the catalyst that brought these two characters together. My disappointment was that she has a story that I found wanting to know. But on the bright side if it weren’t for her I wouldn’t have gotten to know Kane and Kit.
This is a story that even though it’s written by two authors you won’t be able to tell which author wrote what. The chapters move seamlessly from one to the next. I used to hate reading books that were told in the first person. This book is one of the reasons that I changed my mind – and am I glad that I did. With this type of book I think that you get a better perspective of the characters themselves. Instead of assuming what they’re thinking the authors help me to understand them better. I would also think that it makes the job of the author harder – must have to get into the mind of a character that they are trying to develop.
We have two people that if I saw them I probably wouldn’t put money on them ever having a relationship. But then we have two creative people that showed me that anything is possible. Especially when there’s a list that one of them needs help getting through. One good thing about reading a book is that if you want to dream about trading places with any character in the book anything is possible– sigh! Being a series it will be interesting to see how our team tries to top this one. Especially after the tease they leave us with.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Best Friends to Lovers—A true win win for me…. This story had me living la vida loca…. two best friends afraid to compromise their friendship fighting their desires and urges to love. This was so mesmerizing for me. Kit Calyle the designer for the local DIY show and Kane the Samoan well built sexy as hell carpenter….. Kits protector, he knows her well, her scent, her wants, her desires, yet he is keeps his distance. After Kits cousin leaves her a bucket list of things to do, it starts to heat up. Kit only wants the help of her best friend to do this with her.(You are My Fire- My ONE Desire)..included in the list is things no friend should do with one another. Only problem is they both want it and they both want each other. AMAZING how these two friends turn our worlds upside down as the chemistry starts to go from simmering to full blown combustion. TNT That kiss….. changes their lives forever….. I LOVED THIS STORY can’t wait for #2…..
This story…You guys…you have to read it! It’s a friends to lovers story with lots of OMG if you guys don’t get it together I’m going to kick you moments. It all starts with a list and ends with the greatest HEA ever! Kit and Kane have this awesome connection that you just know would be explosive if they gave into it, but neither will because of their friendship. But the list isn’t something Kane is willing to let someone else help her with. So….as the list grows more “adventurous” the more things start to unravel. Can Kane get over the fear of losing Kit’s friendship and take what they both want? This is one smoking hot book! I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series goes!
4.5 Wonderful stars!
Kit and Kane are the perfect best friends to lovers story and the way they together makes it all the better. Their banter back and forth is sweet, and perfect. They have a love for each other that has been simmering for a while but neither wants to be the first to make a move because they don’t want to screw up the friendship.
While they work together on a DIY show, Kane is also her protector but he wants to be so much more. When Kit comes back from her cousins funeral, she has a list, a bucket list, that her cousin wants her to complete. Kit’s cousin thinks the bucket list will show her what she is missing in life. A few things on the list is, zip-lining, camp outdoors, hike in the woods, and fall in love. And a few other things that Kit and Kane are not sure about. Kane says he will help her with some of the things on the list but he can’t do them all. So Kit suggest he help her find a man that would. This sets Kane off and angers him.
Will Kane give in to his feelings for Kit or will his anger destroy their friendship? Will Kit finally admit to Kane how she really feels? Will they complete the bucket list together? What happens when Kane’s’ brother offers to help Kit with the list?
I love a good friend to lovers story and this one was great. I was upset with Kane at times because he was a little unsure about his feelings for Kit and I just wanted to slap him upside the head. But he finally came around and got his act together before I had to attack him. As usual, Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler have another great beginning to a series that should not be missed. You will love Kit and Kane or you should, I did and can’t wait for the next one. I will be about Kane’s brother Kiel.
**Copy provided by the author and this is my honest review**
Kit and Kane, good friends and co-workers till Kit her best friend dies and leaves her an bucket list…
Kane is n so much trouble now…
Hot and steamy, bit dark, but I loved reading this book
If you want an easy read with no real depth this is a book for you. While it is a good book, I found it to not be the most appealing to me. I was hoping there would be a little more to the love story.
Chelle Bliss is amazing and I love her books, they pull you in and make you feel like part of the family.
Easy read that keeps you hooked on the main characters once you are a few pages in. The list keeps the story line going while Kane and Kit keeps you coming back for more.
Good book. Friends to lovers are always interesting to read. Love the banter the innocent jealousy. Kit and Kane was an enjoyable read.
Great read
It’s okay
Kit & Kane is the perfect friends to lovers book. I absolutely loved it. This is the first book to this series & I absolutely loved the co-writing. Bliss & Eden did a great job!
I have to say …. This was a damn good friends to lovers story. For me, it was the slow burn that made it so much better. It was anticipatory. The story builds and builds and builds towards Kit and Kane crossing that line and it just felt very suspenseful. They were also very likable characters so that reinforced the happy feeling I had throughout the entire journey.
I gotta say, I loved the whole bucket list plot-line. It was fresh and different and it really played well with the slow burn of the story-line. These two authors worked very well with this book. I’ve read Chelle Bliss before, but not Eden Butler and I’m impressed at how seamless the story felt while reading. I honestly couldn’t tell one voice from another and that’s key in collaborative work. That means the authors are in sink and work well off each other therefor will deliver a good product.
The story had the right amount of sweetness to sexiness, angst to heart-warmth and an overall feeling surrounding it. I can’t wait to read from these two authors!
Tied Down is another fantastic book by the duo of Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler! It is sexy, fast paced story with a bit of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat! You won’t want to put it down.
Kiel has been reeling from the deceit Cara inflicted upon him years earlier, but she needs him to protect her. Can he forgive her and can they move on and find the passion they once had?
What do you get when you have two authors who both do “hot, sexy & fun romance” LOL I loved the super hot Kane, ok he had his faults and maybe a little bit of trouble admitting his feelings here and there, but his feelings for Kit were written in the stars. Some of the “bucket list” items that they tackle together are just plain crazy and turn up the heat between Kit and Kane, but it makes for a great story.
Loved this book, what better way to spend your day then falling in love with an amazing story.
Kit and Kane are making a list and checking it twice when two besties take on a bucket list that will test the boundaries of the friend zone. When Kit lost her cousin and best friend Jess she was understandably crushed. Apparently Jess left one ride for go on together and she expects Kit to give it her all. She wants her to take her bucket list and really do all the things in life she is too scared to do. The list is full of Kit’s big ticket woulda coulda shouldas and now she owes to Jess to do them. The only person she can trust to help her no chicken out is her rock Kane. Kane is everyday garden variety grump with everyone expect Kit. That woman can get away with murder and he would help her hide the body or take the wrap. When she comes to him like looking to complete this cockamamie bucket list his first instinct is no way can he help her do so of these things, but even worse would be to ideally sit by and watch it happen.
My only problem with this book was it took the 2 main characters too long to give into their feelings but it was an amazing story and gave me the feels.
Thais is a story about friends to lovers. Kane and Kit work on a DIY show they are very good friends but secretly each wish they were more. Kit’s best friend Jess dies and leaves her a bucket list of stuff for her to do and she ask Kane for help. The story will draw you in and you will want to keep reading to find out if Kit and Kane do everything on that list and find out what happens in the end. I highly recommend this book!
