But when her cousin dies and leaves her with a long as hell and sexy bucket list, Kit turns to me for a helping hand. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a woman in need. Besides, I’m not about to let another man steal away my girl, occupy her bed, or fill my shoes.

The only regret I have about reading this book is that I waited so long to do it. I should have known, with Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler teaming up, that it would be one of the best reads of my year–but it was even more. This duo just BROUGHT IT in every category that’s important to me in a sigh-worthy read. First and foremost, a hero worthy of a very long book hangover. Kane Kaino is, in one word, GAH. Built like a mountain and wired with the gruff nobility of a old-fashioned knight, this man is absolutely, completely perfect for Kit Carlyle, who has to face every milestone of her life, including the wrenching book opener, in the public eye. Kane’s protectiveness and tenderness toward her is balanced by an alpha male streak that’s utterly knee-melting–and makes for conflict that kept me turning pages as fast as I could. A wonderful, sexy, emotional ride of a story. I hope these two do more books together!
Kit and Kane …friends , co- workers and things are about to change up for them.
I love a great friends to lovers journey. Neither Kit nor Kane want to make the first move past friendship. They have an amazing friendship but neither wants to rock the boat . When Kit’s best girlfriend passes away leaving a bucket list …..things are about to get interesting . As the list grows neither one can deny that things between them are heating up! They are both getting more than they expected !
Loved Kit and Kane !!

The story is interesting and the characters are believable.
The Nailed Down Series by Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler are interrelated books best read in order or you may have trouble following everything. This book was a perfect example of that. Dale and Gin have been best friends since his marriage ended and they both want more, but aren’t sure how. And when that implodes…..the story begins. Both Dale and Gin have some deep issues, trust problems, and he has trouble communicating his wants. All the couples in the Nailed Down Series have been interesting, have great chemistry, and all books are fast, sexy reads.
I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book
Nailed Down is the first book in the Nailed Down series. This book will keep you on your toes to the very end. Will Kit and Kane be able to get there HEA or are they both too stubborn to see that they both feel the same. A bucket list may make them both see some sense, this book had me frustrated as well as made me laugh looking forward to book 2.
Loved this book. Chelle Bliss is one of my favorites so I knew it would not disappoint. Eden Butler is new to me but they did an outstanding job writing the story of Kane and Kit. Hate that I am just know meeting Kane but cannot wait to start Tied Down to read more about Kiel Nailed Down kept you wanting to turn each page. Beautiful love story but with a ton of hot and intense scenes . Definitely a must read.
Nailed Down (Nailed Down #1) by Chelle Bliss – When Kit’s cousin dies, she is left when a scandalous bucket list. Her friend Kane volunteers to help her check things off, and that’s where things get interesting. I love a friends to lovers troupe! Happy Reading!
* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *
Story:
I found the story a little naive but has a lot of hotness
Characters is in my opinion not well enough described and I feel like they don’t speak to me.
The storyline is good.
Narrator:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings
4 stars overall
Wow. Chelle Bliss and Elen Butler did a spectacular job on this story. I knew where the story would eventually end up BUT the suspense getting there made it hard to put this book down. Tied Down looks just as great!
I had difficulty getting into the story, however once I was, it turned out much better than I expected. I would have like more exposition about the female protagonist’s relationship with her deceased friend.
great book
I most enjoyed the characters in this book. They were real and yet romantic. The sex was steamy and the setting unique. Good read.
One weird thing – Kit is supposed to be super close to her cousin and yet we never find out how she died. Her death is basically the catalyst for the premise so to not know what happened is confusing. Also, they have both been attracted to each other for ever… so why have they not acted on it?? Because they are friends…
Of course you have to read this book. One word Chelle Bliss… it was another one where if you are going to start reading it clear your time because you will not put it down. Characters were awesome.
This book was hot hot hot!!
I want a Kane. This man is alpha, protective, dominant and just all around yummy. Sure he can be grumpy and doesn’t put up with much but he owns that and doesn’t apologize for it.
Kit was a breath of fresh air. She was fun, funny, great at her job, had insecurity and just seemed real. I loved reading about her going through the list. I was cheering her on as she went.
Ugh, men. They can be so frustrating and stubborn and blind. Kane ticks off all those and when it comes to the relationship he has wanted with Kit for so long, he’s dumb as a box of rocks.
Kit is not much better in this situation. In her professional life she’s an in control go-getter. In her personal life she doesn’t know how to go about getting what she wants and is a little bit of a coward. It takes a bucket list/demands made for her by her best friend who died to get her in gear.
These two just cannot admit what is going on between them and being so stubborn (Kane) and being so cowardly (Kit), they may never figure it out.
A fun… but frustrating… read!
Damn. While I’ve read stories by each author separately, I’m always apprehensive when authors co-write. Needless to say, I was not disappointed!
Between both authors, their styles, though different, worked seamlessly. The characters were fun and likable, and I love a good friends-to-lovers story.
NAILED DOWN is book one of a new series by Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler. I’ve read several books by Chelle Bliss but this a first for me from Eden Butler! They collaborated really well together…there’s only a few times where I could guess that it was maybe Ms. Bliss writing (she does love those alphas!).
Kane is the star of a home improvement show. His co-host and best friend is Kit. She just lost her cousin but her dying wish was for Kit to complete a bucket list that includes some things that involve a “partner”.
The friends to lovers trope is a fave of mine! I always enjoy watching that transformation from friends to more and the realization that being friends first makes a pretty solid foundation for a relationship. Kit was…well I’m going to say it…she was kinda ALPHA! Sounds weird I know but she ended up being the decisive one, Kit knew what she wanted and what she wanted was Kane. And although there’s times that Kane is pretty alpha himself (which is HAWT by the way) he spends a lot of time debating between keeping Kit as a friend or taking that chance at being more (is that considered a spoiler??). Their story is a slow burn but when Kane and Kit finally take the plunge…WOWZA!
This doesn’t have a lot of over the top drama though there’s parts that are a bit sad. But mostly, this is a fun, light read. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
My highlights for this book are OUT OF CONTROL!!!
Kane aka ” I am the storm.” and Kit are best friends. The do a DIY show together. Kane has always had feelings for his best friend but refused to act on them for fear of ruining their friendship.
In the beginning of the book Kit loses her cousin. She is just coming back to work and is faced with her cousins last wishes. A bucket list. See…Kit has always been hesitant. She dreams but she never actually does. Now to respect her cousins last wishes she MUST complete the list. Who can she count on to help her with the list? KANE!!!
Kane is sooooo not on board with this bucket list crap. He has a heard enough time keeping their friendship platonic as it is. But when he refuses to help and Kit asks his little to help he has to step in. This is where things get complicated.
As they complete the items on Kit’s list things get hotter and hotter between each other. Kit and Kane have some serious chemistry. When they finally do get together things get explosive.
“I’m not gentle, Kit. I’m generous, but I’m not gentle.”
Holy alpha hotness. Kane is hands down my new favorite alpha BBF!!!
“I’m sticky.” “I know.” I rubbed a hand over her ass, giving it a squeeze. “I was there when it happened.”
Dear god…I about died after I read that.
If you like alpha men that are protective yet kind….thoughtful and respectful….friends to lovers then you need to read this book.
Nailed Down nailed every box for me!
