Of all the men on the Icehome beach, Thrand’s the most competitive and most aggravating. He’s cocky. Arrogant. Turns everything into a rivalry. He’s a pain in the you know what.He also keeps insisting that I kiss him. After all, I’m the one that told him a kiss didn’t mean anything. It shouldn’t. A kiss is just a kiss as far as humans are concerned. But Thrand’s a clone, a race of people called … people called a’ani, and he’s been brought up to play hard and to win.
And he wants to win me.
But does Thrand want me for the right reasons? Or am I just another conquest?

I absolutely love these characters. Thrand is so funny and I can’t get enough of his story. Thrand is determined to make Nadine his and I love every minute of there story. Another amazing book with phenomenal characters that had me glued too my kindle.
Not Easy Being Just Me
The author did justice to Thrands story. He finally gets his own voice and what he does with Nadine will understand who and not what he represents.
I listened to the audible version of the story and I loved it. The narrators did a fantastic job with the story. Nadine and Thrand’s story was sweet, steamy and will keep you laughing at Thrands antics. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. For me, this author does not disappoint when it comes to paranormal romance reads.
Okay, let’s be real.
If you’d told me three weeks ago that I’d be eating the books in a series called Ice Planet Barbarians (or the spinoff series, Icehome) like popcorn, I might have curled my lip.
But ten minutes later, I’d be biting it. I don’t know what the special sauce is that has enabled Ruby Dixon to write at least 18 books that are funny, sexy and even deal with deep issues well while following the adventures of human women dropped on an icy planet full of hunky bright blue supermen with tails (and, ahem, spurs). But she does it and does it well. In this book, for example, she addresses grief and loss. And a couple pages later she has me fanning my face again. Five stars for the book. Five stars for the series. Go have some fun and read Dixon!
Awe, Nadine & Thrand, what a great story! I loved that they developed feelings for each other before the cootie decided for them. The other characters are definitely in the back of my mind, wanting them to all get their HEA too. Definitely enjoyed this addition to Icehome series. I’m not sure it’s stand-alone, but I definitely think a reader would be better off to start at the beginning to get the most enjoyment for any of the books.
Book eight of the Icehome series a well written story with a very good storyline the story flows smoothly from page to page. This is Thrand is a A’ani, a clone with red skin and pointed ears, and human Nadine’s story, this story kept me laughing as I read. Thrand is cocky, competitive, confident, and wants Nadine as his own. Old Grandfather the sky claw has a prominent part to play in this story. This book ends wit a lead-in into the next book which I will be reading. I read this book through K.U. and I am voluntarily reviewing.
2.5 stars
This was ok. I got a little bored around the middle and got tired of the constant competing that Thrand does. I liked Nadine. She is tough and is doing everything she can to make a life at Icehome. She is still struggling with never seeing her family and sisters and I like that we got those vulnerable times.
Overall, an ok addition to the series. I look forward to the next one.
Liked this one more than I thought I would. Nadine wasn’t one of my favorite characters early on at the Icehome, but this story helped me like her more. So glad that Ketchup finally got his HEA!
