I looked forward to this book but was disappointed and did not finish. The premise was interesting but for some reason I only enjoyed the parts that centered around Eleanor Roosevelt’s quotes and life.
Good read
a good look at both Eleanor Roosevelt and the problems we create in ourselves.
I absolutely LOVED this book!
What a wonderful approach to facing fear.
It made me laugh and wince and celebrate!
It also made me want to learn more about Eleanor Roosevelt.
I could relate to the author’s experience
I really liked everything about this book. It a great read and very introspective. You see the starting point and the ending point and the journey to get there that was entertaining, but also felt real without feeling contrived. I enjoyed the book immensely.
The premise of the book really isn’t what it is about. I hung in there and finished the book because I can’t seem not to. I certainly wasn’t enthralled.
Eh, don’t really recommend. She approaches getting somewhere but always falls a little shallow.
I am 68 years old, and I think this book is great for readers of all ages. Author Noelle provides outstanding role modeling for committing to deepen your practice of some important character strength, and then carrying out a sustained pursuit of your goal. I laughed out loud at many points, and sent my 40 year old daughter a copy of this book.
I loved this book!
I thought the book well-written, organized, and informative. I would suggest this book for anyone interested in history.
Loved all of the Eleanor quotes and how Noelle used those quotes to improve her life.
It was inspiring; the variety of actions she took, to get over her fears, and the self-discovery of even more fears along the way, kept me involved in a way I never expected. As good as page-turner as many mystery stories I’ve read. Very enjoyable read.
Very well written!
The main character draws inspiration from the words of Eleanor Roosevelt. She is about to turn 30 and loses her job. She uses the time off to assess where her life is going and what she can do to expand her horizons. Very good book!
