** A spin-off from the USA TODAY Bestselling Better Date than Never series!! **Erica Conner is a carefree yoga instructor who is fine going solo to her friend’s wedding until her uptight ex’s mother tells her he’ll be attending with his new fiancée. Josh Taylor overhears Erica claiming he’s her wedding date and decides to play along. While he impresses her nemesis by revealing he’s a successful corporate guy, Erica’s excitement about him sinks since her ex is a workaholic who never prioritized her. Erica is disappointed but agrees to the deal. As she plays Josh’s girlfriend in front of his ex to make him seem like marriage material, she discovers he’s ambitious, but also caring and supportive. While on their fake dates, she’s laughing and having fun and finally comfortable being herself around a guy for the first time ever.
As their faux relationship grows, Erica loses her heart to Josh. And when he spontaneously kisses her she doesn’t know if it’s for show or for real. If Erica risks her heart and reveals her feelings to Josh, will he turn her down? Or will he be her wedding date for real, and maybe the love of her life?

Josh And Erica’s Story Is A Light-Hearted Slow-Burn With Laugh Out Loud Moments!.
For Erica Conner, yoga instructor at Totally Fit in Sacramento, finding her center usually comes without effort. But between her friend Kaitlin’s huge wedding in three weeks and the new hottie in her class, she struggles to focus. Kaitlin’s upcoming nuptials to hotel mogul Paul Geoffries is the talk of the town – even Erica’s mother’s snooty country club friends plan to attend.
That includes Cynthia Peterson – her mother’s friend and her ex’s mother. Ross had broken up with Erica a year and half ago, claiming she is too needy. Erica’s self-esteem took a little hit, even though she had planned to break up with him for putting his career above all, no exceptions.
Although Erica doesn’t regret the breakup, she hates being judged for her choices. She chose Sacramento State instead of an Ivy League college, and her modest income won’t place her in an upscale neighborhood. And since breaking up with Ross, she has had no great prospects for finding love. Erica loves her mother and hates disappointing her, but putting up with Cynthia’s snide comments is insufferable.
Josh Taylor showed up in Erica’s class a month ago, and she had an instant connection with him. His humor and intelligence draw her to him, but he is impossible to read. He is friendly but not quite flirty. Erica decides not to let that hold her back, though, and is determined to ask Josh to be her wedding date. Her plans go awry when Josh steps in and rescues her from Cynthia’s judgement, claiming he is her boyfriend. It turns out that he is happy to accompany Erica to the wedding as her date in exchange for a favor of his own.
All Erica needs to do is pretend to be Josh’s new girlfriend and make his ex-girlfriend Mindy want him back. The more Erica gets to know Josh, the more she finds to admire about him. But she is a woman of her word and will pull out all the stops to ensure that Mindy and Josh find their HEA. Josh is a sweetheart, but as it turns out he also checks a lot of her mother’s boxes. Erica must decide if she can accept Josh’s devotion to his career – that is, if she can convince him that she is the better choice for him.
Josh and Erica’s story is a light-hearted slow-burn with laugh out loud moments. It is a quick read and nicely written. The plot is fairly simple. The characters are nicely developed. Though not explicitly stated, Josh and Erica are both probably in their late twenties. It is written in first person from Erica’s POV. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

I find it very rare and difficult to come to the end of a Susan Hatler story and not have a smile on my face. I find her writing always so entertaining!

Oh my gosh Erica and Josh are adorable adorably stupid that is as they both want something out of the crazy deal they make after Erica’s faux pas at her work place in front of her ex fiances mother. It is pretty obvious when things start to change between them but they never notice it as they are so caught up in what they think the other wants. There are plenty of laughs, forehead slaps, rolling of eyes, giggles (oh lordy the wedding scene ) and a sweet couple who have the chance to be together if they would just talk to each other (insert eye roll lol)

This book was the perfect fun read, with intricate plotting and amazing characters! You will adore the interaction and dialog that is riotously funny at times!
Erica Conner, a yoga instructor, needs a plus-one for a wedding where her ex will show off his new fiancée. So Erica claims she will be attending with the attractive new guy in her class she has been admiring. When Josh Taylor overhears her, he goes along with it in return for her willingness to continue to date him so he could win back his ex-girlfriend, Mindy. Because of her ex’s workaholic treatment of Erica, where she always came in second to his work, she wasn’t overly thrilled that Josh is a successful executive. But to her surprise, he is actually very caring and attentive to her. Their dates are fun and relaxing where she can be herself.
So when John kisses her she isn’t sure whether this is for “show” or if he really meant it. Should she tell him how she feels now that it has turned real for her? Or will he reject her and continue to pursue his girlfriend?
Does a “double fake” relationship equal a “real” relationship in the end?
My Wedding Date is the third book in The Wedding Whisperer series and it is a fun, sweet and entertaining novella. The story is about Erica who needs a man to take as a date to her friend’s wedding. It seems her ex is also attending with his new fiancee, as she is told by his mother. Well who wants to show up alone to the same event when that is pushed in your face. So thinking, or maybe not, quickly on her feet she pretends that she and Josh, a guy in her yoga class, are going together. Josh is surprised but decides to play along with it. However, he has an ulterior motive also as he wants her to help him win back his ex. So this is turning into a double fake which ends up leading to more fake and more fake and more fake….but is it fake anymore???
This is another fun, flirty, laugh out loud, rom-com story by Susan Hatler. It is well written, clean (so no hanky-panky), has a great story-line and characters. A great way to spend a couple of hours to lighten you mood!!!
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This author has delivered another fun read. The characters are well written and engaging with plenty of chemistry added to the pages. The storyline flowed smoothly with each turn of the page to the last.

I enjoyed this novella because Erica seemed so real, fun and deserving of a great guy like Josh. He was attentive and unpretentious.
Both Erica and Josh kept their hearts sheltered because of wrong assumptions and misunderstandings. I like stories where the appearance of an ex makes the couple realize they belong together. While it took most of the story, those misunderstandings and wrong assumptions were overcome.
If you like shorter stories with a quirky, fun heroine devoted to her family and a classic swoon worthy gentleman that adopts older dogs as the hero, you will enjoy My Wedding Date.
