For this secret shifter town in the Ozarks, holidays have never been normal… Human psychic Sunny Haddock has everything she’s ever wanted: a stable home, a loving husband, two kids, and great friends. Granted, everyone she knows (and has birthed) is on the furry side, but so what? Weird is wonderful, especially in this wacky little place she calls home. But when a young man shows up on her … man shows up on her doorstep claiming to be her long lost brother, his presence provokes a psychic walk down memory lane, challenging Sunny’s ideas about herself and her future. Throw in exploding turkeys, time-traveling visions, and good old fashioned family drama… and you have a Thanksgiving that’s gonna be downright Peculiar.
Peculiar Mysteries series from USA Today bestselling author Renee George are laugh-out-loud, grip the edge of your seat, and swoon as you fall in love tales of mystery, humor, and romance that take place in the small (fictional, not the actual) Ozark shifter town of Peculiar, Missouri.

That was a great short story!!! Love the reconnecting and newness Sunny has in learning about what happened to her parents after she left them! We all live in one universe as we grow and when we move out n start our own life our memories and perceptions of what happened “back then” truly does change as the years go by! Love that Sunny got the chance to reconnect with her parents and learn about a family she never new she had!
Thank you for this touching story at a time when we all need a lil reminder of thw stuff we might want to reconsider and be thankful for!!!
Sunny and the Peculiar family and friends are back for a special Thanksgiving that is sure to make you feel wonderful about the holidays. Sunny finds past and current love. I was given this book as a gift from the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
Another hilarious book in this series. Well worth reading!
What a heartwarming story. I wasn’t expecting all the surprise twist and turn but I liked the life lessons it showed us that sometime our memories aren’t exactly what it seems. overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
It was great learning more about Sunny’s past. When the reader was first introduced to Sunny she was an adult that had a difficult childhood but manage to survive.
You will be able to find out what has been happening in Peculiar over the last few years and catch up on some favorite characters.
I will give you a hint the past will may not be what you believe and will give you a hint about some of your own memories.
Always love my reading visit to Peculiar and out about new and old friends.

This is really a fun short book to read and I love the new characters being added to the series and I’m not telling you anymore than that because I want you to read all of them they are amazing
I really wanted to sleep, so I should not have started this book after finishing the one I had read. I should have went to sleep and saved it until the morning. But I didn’t, so I was awake until I finished it. This is a sweet book. Sunny has a look into her past (childhood) and realizes that things weren’t exactly as she remembered them. Although it may not have been all sunshine and roses, it wasn’t as bad as she always thought it was. She also realized that she wasn’t exactly always nice as a teenager. This isn’t a really long book, but it packs a lot into it. Once again Renee George crafts an interesting and hard to put down story. I highly recommend reading this book!
I delight in returning to this world thanks to this series. Novel too is that this is Thanksgiving too. Sunny though has her world turned upside down with and doors opened that were thought to be sealed. This one really gets you grinning but also catches your interest. The mystery the brother provokes is one that keeps the pages turning. This is a fun one to thanks to the holiday with it being a nice change too.
This was such a heartwarming story. I really loved how it showed how our memories aren’t always exactly how we remember them to be. The way this happens in the book is amazing and it really brings family together. I highly recommend reading this!
Sunny meets a piece of her family she didn’t know she had.
Suddenly discovering grandparents, grown up versions of the folks you knew, along with extended kin can be very frustrating.
It can also be rewarding, at least in small doses.
Luckily for Sunny, she grew into the family she found along with the family she built. Her BFFs, her kids, and the extended family of her husband will be there for her, no matter what.
A little family and self reflection and some funny and some sweet moments.
A nice new Thanksgiving tradition!
Sunny had left behind a past she considered sad and not worthy to remember but when an unknown brother arrived strong and buried emotions resurfaced. Sunny had forgotten some important things that needed to be bring forth. Liked Jack character so much! A touching story for the season with laughs, family, surprises, strong emotions and love. A lovely addition to Peculiar Mysteries series.
My Thanksgiving Faux Paw is a heartwarming tale that has Sunny looking at her past through the eyes of motherhood and realizing that though some things were as bad as she remembers some things weren’t. This is a sweet and funny story that is sure to warm the cockles of your heart.
Sunny has resented her parents (and upbringing) for years. When an unexpected, and unknown, younger brother shows up on Thanksgiving, his special talents help Sunny to realize things may not have been as they seemed…and that she has alot to be thankful for.
I love all the characters in this series. They are fun and interesting.
A Thanksgiving nugget of fun and surprises for Sunny and her friends and family.
Unless this is your first enjoyable walk into Peculiar’s little southern town of Shifters only (well, there is Sunny) you’ll enjoy seeing the husbands’ antics entertain the wives until one of them takes things in hand for the protection of all. And that’s just the beginning.
Sunny is in for a surprise she isn’t sure to be thankful for or run him out of town. Her brother. The one she doesn’t know she has! Will his arrival change her life for better or worse? Whatever happens, you can be sure she’ll have the support of her friends and family.
Even though this is book 10 in the series you can enjoy it alone but warning, you will want to read more about this amazing town and group.
Sunny certainly doesn’t lead a boring life. Having an unknown younger brother show up out of the blue in the middle of her Thanksgiving party throws her for a loop and forces her to re-examine her childhood memories. By the end, she has learned how much she has to be thankful for.
Humor infused short that is certain to please, take some time to visit the quirky and fun characters in Peculiar. No spoilers, but this much you need to know: You will be laughing out loud as the story/mystery unfolds in this unputdownable page-turner! And if you haven’t read any of the others in this amazing/amusing series, this book will certainly make you want to. I requested an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Holidays in peculiar
Sunny Haddock is a psychic and human but she is mated to a shifter named Babe he is also the mayor of Peculiar and they have two kids. Her BFF is also her mates sister. Chavvah and she is mated to the town doctor Billy Bob and the have a son. Rory. Everyone in town knows everyone and it’s one crazy normal shifter town until a stranger shows up at the police department asking to see sunshine Haddock. Saying he is her brother only as far as she knows. She doesn’t have one hmmmm. crazy right?
As always this is a fun read with awesome characters. I love to read how they all interact together. It makes for a fun story. So if you have been following this series you have get this one.
Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Sunny is ready for a perfect Thanksgiving spent with family and friends.
Sunny is not sure what to make of Jack, her long lost brother.
She has a new life in Peculiar.
Is Jack really her long lost bother, or is this a scam ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
By far the best in the Peculiar series! A lot of family, a lot of baggage, a lot of weird, and a whole lot of love – pass the pie! The story is an endearing quick read that brings heartfelt moments of family to warm you. Remember that embarrassing time.. Ya that one, the one that made it a special holiday. It’s all here for you to grab on to.
