Emma Sutton never fails when she writes a new book.
No matter what the genre her books are incredible and hard to put down.
She has done it again with this sweet fun story.
The characters are delightful and the plot is engaging.
What a great start to a new series.
This is a such a sweet and fun story!
Walker and Hattie are such a cute couple, I immediately fell in love with them. Hattie doesn’t initially like Walker and Walker thinks she’s too much work and gives her the nickname of “Handful”. But it doesn’t take long for them to realize they each have feelings for each other. They both have issues from their past they need to deal with before they can move forward with their future. This is a really sweet and charming story about healing and moving forward. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to reading more by this author.

Walker Hayes is a lonely, divorced man who runs Lone Oak Ranch and takes his job very seriously. Hattie Locherman is a horse wrangler, and she lived her life on the foster system, so when she came to work on the ranch, she finally found a home. But when Walker appears one day to question Hattie’s work ethic, she is furious.
Meanwhile, Mary Jo is struggling financially to keep her ranch working, and when she asks Walker’s help to save the ranch, he will do everything possible to reverse the situation. Hattie has also faced some problems, since the letter she received with information from her birth mother didn’t make her very happy.
Walker and Hattie begin to spend more time together and get to know each other, and the feelings between them grow, but when Hattie finds out about the ranch’s financial problems, she will question whether their relationship is worth it, or whether she will be alone again.
I loved the story and the characters, I hope to read more about the residents of Lone Oak Ranch. I highly recommend the reading.
This story was adorable!! My heart broke for Hattie a few times as well as it did for Walker. But that ending had me crying and smiling like a fool!! I absolutely love these two and hope to see more of all these characters!!
Another pleasant tale from Emma Sutton that delivers on a sweet and happy ending. She is fast becoming one of my favourite authors for a quiet afternoon read

This is a fun sweet western story about two ranch hands working together on a struggling ranch in Wyoming. Walker and Hattie (aka “Handful”) are fun, lovable characters. There is an attraction between them and a chemistry that is expressed through touches, looks, hugs and kissing. I found myself smiling so many times as I read the story. Sutton writes a great romance without having to be explicit with the love scenes. She can make you feel the love that is between Walker and Hattie.
My only problem with this story was with the time frames. Sometimes it would read, “two weeks” and then in the next chapter it would say, “last week” and then again it would read, “for a month”. I found myself going back to double check if I had read something wrong. This didn’t really interfere with the story itself, but I did wonder about the time line.
Emma Sutton is a great author who writes well developed characters and a a good story. I have read several of her books and always look forward to her next story.
This was a great book that was full of pages with well developed characters and engaging storyline and plenty of chemistry to keep me entertained from the beginning to the end.

Another great book by Emma Sutton. She is able to develop her characters and draw you into the story so you don’t want to put this book down. Walker and Hattie have plenty to work through, but Emma makes their story work.

There’s romance and heartache all wrapped up together in this wonderful and heartwarming story. The characters are strong, likable, realistic and well developed. The story line captures you and you find it hard to stop reading when you need to get some other things done. A beautifully written love story you’ll be glad you read. You’ll experience all the feels.

This is a fabulous story that has romance and heartache. Hattie has lived her life alone and she has never been close to anyone. She was a foster child and was very hurt by some reason news regarding her birth parents.
The way that Walker and Hattie’s relationship evolved was so sweet and beautifully written. It made my Harry warm to read about their feelings for one another. I think any woman would melt for Walker and his loving attention.
I love all of the characters at the ranch. They are co-workers but also friends.
Hattie didn’t like Walker because she thought he was given the ranch manager job over her and she thought he had a superior attitude. But that doesn’t last long when she gets a letter that makes her emotional and she ends up sharing that with him. The book doesn’t talk about her life in foster care, but she must have emotional scars because she pushes Walker away at the first sign of hard times. There were some funny moments like the fish phobia, although I don’t like fish much either and don’t have any desire to go fishing. Walker’s dog Sophie was funny too with all her energy and mischief. There were plenty of Interesting supporting characters that would be good to star in future stories. This was a clean just kissing and hugging romance.
Loved this story. Characters were multi layered and relatable. Lots of steamy chemistry between them. Plenty of lol moments throughout to keep it entertaining. Highly recommend this book n

Walker Hayes is now running Lone Oak Ranch as ranch manager. Hattie Locherman is the horse wrangler that has grown up on her own in the foster care system. She had exhausted all avenues on finding her birth mother. Now she has received a letter with possible answers from a detective that is helping. The ranch where they both work is owned and operated by Mary Jo who has been struggling to keep the ranch afloat since her husband passed away. Walker picks on Hattie and Hattie always fires back which earned her the nickname Handful. Now that Walker has been made aware the ranch is in major financial ruin, he is trying to cut back on the percentages of time spent of taking care of the horses which is Hattie’s domain and she isn’t happy about it. Of course only Walker knows of the status of the ranch at this point. A sweet clean romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story is centered around Walker and Hattie. They’re co-workers on the Lone Oak Ranch, but Hattie really doesn’t like Walker. What changes to make Hattie change her mind? There’s a little angst in this book due to Hattie, but we’ll understand her decisions by the time we’re through reading. We’ll meet several other characters, Eliza, Mason, Brooke, Stephanie to name a few, so maybe we’ll get more books from the Lone Oak Ranch. Although this isn’t my favorite book by Emma Sutton, I still recommend it, if you enjoy sweet western romances,

Hattie has been alone most of her life having grown up in the foster system, but for the past several years she has found herself a new home and family on Lone Oak Ranch. Even if the ranch manager, Walker Hayes, seems to thrive on driving her crazy with his insistance to cutting the bottom line.
One day Walker starts teasing her and calls her a ‘handful’, a title which sticks, and that seems to change the dynamics of their relationship. As Hattie deals with her unsettled past will she be able to move through it to look towards a promising future?
Walker Hayes loves pushing Hattie’s buttons and getting her riled up. She has been a great addition to the ranch and a reliable employee. He also knows he is beginning to have feelings for her. Even though things on the Lone Oak Ranch are a bit precarious right now, he can’t help how he feels about the feisty horse woman.
This is a sweet old fashioned country charmer of a book. It’s clean and simple story will have you mesmerized as you cheer on Hattie and Walker. With loving kissing scenes it stays true to a romance without the unnecessary extras.

4.5 Stars
This is one of my favorite stories by this author. I really liked the characters and their journey. I just thought the transition from not liking each other to trusting each other was a little quick.
The story of Walker and Hattie is a very sweet story everyone will love. Set on a working ranch called Lone Oak, Walker has a hard time trying to figure out horse wrangler Hattie. After he gives her the nickname of Handful, Walker finds out exactly how Hattie can live up to that name. The two figure out how to help the owner of the ranch make it more successful since the death of her husband. I think Walker and Hattie make the best of their situation with the ranch and help make things more successful than they could ever have imagined. All roads lead to love on a ranch!

This isn’t a bad read by any means, but I did find myself skipping pages. It just kind of felt drawn out in spots.
That being said, it is a quick sweet read.
