Bully. That’s what I am to her. It’s not a name I ever expected to be called, but after what she did to me that one awful summer, I’ll wear it with pride. It’s the least I can do after she put my older brother behind bars.Prairie Westmin– her face is burned into my mind. And now I have to stare at it every day of our senior year. I want to make her miserable. I know she’s my enemy. So why am I … enemy.
So why am I defending her from others on campus?
I tell myself it’s because she’s MINE. I’m the only one who can bully her. Just me.
That logic is warping the longer I’m around her.
Fury becomes curiosity.
Anger becomes passion.
Cruelty becomes love.
One kiss and I forget that I’m supposed to hate her to my very core.
This woman is beating up my heart and ruling my world.
Am I her bully… or is she mine?
(My Sweet Bully is a full length romance with all the delicious chemistry and tension that only a pair of 18 year olds in high school can bring. Drama, angst, and all the red-hot-love you trust me to write. xoxoxo)

Two brothers who had a tough time growing up. A mom passes, a datad becomes drunk, and a older brother did whatever he could to get what him and his little brother, Max needed to survive. Yet, by then the pattern and the thrill for Harlow was stronger than doing what he knew was best for Max.
This story revolves around Max and how he wants to be loyalty to his brother for the crime he is serving time for in prison. The thing that stands out to me is they both want to blame Prairie for tell what she saw as a bystander. The thing is when Prairie’s family moves to the town Max lives in to be near family she ends up at his school.
When she gets bullied the morning of day one Max is the one who comes up behind her to defend her. Once their alone finds out it’s her his demeanor changes. He almost growls for her too keep away from him he hates her. He just underestimates just how truly sweet, kind, caring, openly honest and sorry that her telling the truth ruined his life.
She also reveals to him she also knows he’s a good hearted person who acts like a bad boy to keep people away. To which he growls you don’t know the real me.
The only thing I can say that bothers me is no reaction or input from those around him like when James hurts Prairie in the gym. Or him doing something kind to help after it happens. No reaction. Also, the timeline is off for Harlow’s sentence and when they talk later. Then, first day of school, you have her wearing three different pairs of shoes that don’t match the scenes.
I loved these characters they were endearing to me. It was real and scary but so true to conditions within some families. This is for over 18+. Fast short.
Prairie witnessed a fire that she shouldn’t have. It changes her and Max forever. The moment he sees her on the first day of school, he remembers how much hate he has for her.
Max thinks he has to follow in his brother’s footsteps and hate people. Prairie goes out of her way to try to be nice to Max. She feels bad that she ruined his life. Max soon realizes he isn’t the hateful person that people think he is and maybe he doesn’t hate her like his brother does.
The storyline isn’t something I’m normally into but I like Penny Wylder’s books so I gave it a try. I really enjoyed being along for the ride and Max figured out who he wanted to be. Not that he had to be like his dad and brother but that he could set his own path. His need to protect Prairie even when he wanted to hate her showed he was a good person he just had to let that person out.
My Sweet Bully by Penny Wylder features Prairie and Max who haVe a tumultuous relationship due to her court testimony which put his troubled brother in prison. I found this book to be an okay read but seems to need better character and plot development. This book is not up to the usual standard of the great reads by this wonderful author.

Prairie saw some boys setting a fire and she called the police. Max was younger than his brother so he got a lighter punishment. He blames Prairie for his loss of everything and is determined to make her pay. They end up going to the same high school. Max is gorgeous, popular and loves to punish Prairie. Prairie is a bit immature and not as likeable but she does stand up to Max. The two end up in an attraction they can’t deny.

A good read! Immediately this book will draw you in and immerse you into a world of young love, intrigue, some darkness, and family drama. The story line is very interesting, well-written, well developed, and moves along at a brisk pace. The characters you will like and root for; their chemistry is undeniable. Definitely recommended.

Prairie never expected to see him again, the night they first laid eyes on one another was a tragic one, and since that night his eyes have haunted her. What he was doing wrong, she is sure that he knew it, but he ran and it was up to her to do the right thing. But in doing so she created an enemy, now as he sits across the room from her staring daggers through her she knows things at her new school are not going to be any better than the last.
He is the enemy, a very attractive one, one that draws her in like a moth to a flame. She wants to make amends, but he wants nothing to do with her… or does he?
My Sweet Bully unites us with a young couple who were brought together by tragedy, and that same tragedy forces them to be at odds with one another too. Prairie wishes she didn’t see what she did, but expecting her to dismiss it was out of the question, she did what she thought was right, but in doing so she took everything from Max, and Max is determine to make her pay. These two were polar opposites, they came from different backgrounds, had different aspirations, but one night bonded them to one another. Watching them sort out their hate and love for one another was tough on the ticker at times, my heart broke for them, but it also soared at times too. There is nothing sweeter than young love, and these two proved that page after page, I loved every minute I spent with them! Highly recommend this one, it destined to leave your heart happy!
