I’d made a life in the criminal underworld of the Vegas mob. That was no life for someone like her because she stirred up dark, dangerous desires only the devil would dare entertain.Growing up in the dive bars of Little Havana taught me three invaluable lessons. One . . . Men always lie.Two . . . The lilt of my voice has the power to bring those damn men to their knees.Three . . . Men always lie.… knees.
Three . . . Men always lie.
I learned from the best and honed my skills, but even I wasn’t immune to the allure of good looks, charm, and the strong family ties I craved. That naivety was a mistake.
Possibly the most monumental one of my life.
I was sucked into a brutal lie, then forced to run from one crime family straight to another in a desperate attempt to survive, but . . . what have I done?
Stepped right into the lion’s den.
Not only have I stumbled into the crosshairs of a sadistic serial killer–a psychopath whose hunting grounds are the gentlemen’s club where I sing–but the Kane family enforcer in charge of my security is maddening. Infuriating.
And oh, so delicious.
Tall, tatted, and silent, JD’s eyes speak a thousand sinful promises every time they rake over my body, driving me wild with lust and crumbling all my carefully crafted walls. The broody giant gives me a reason to trust–which could make him the most dangerous threat of all.

I finally got a chance to read book 2 My Songbird and thoroughly enjoyed it. JD is the ultimate alpha H, quiet and stead fast he will do anything to protect Brady even from himself. The chemistry between Brady and JD is steamy and undeniable, we all know its just a matter of time before these two get together. But when Brady is threaten and the past she is hiding from arrives on her doorstep, JD steps up to save claim her and save her. But the danger is not just from a single threat, can JD really keep her safe? Action packed, dangerous and steamy this read does not disappoint.

This is the second book in this series but the first one I’ve read from this author and 20% into the book, I wish I had started with book one. The only reason being was because some of the other characters are mentioned and I wanted to know about them. The only problem was, i was hooked in and couldn’t put the book down. It was dark and sassy. The different undertones of the different characters made the story complex. This is an amazing series and I will start with book one now then I’m all ready for book 3. JD was silent with so much to give while Beth was scared to trust in men, having suffered from their lives in the past.
“I started with My Madame and had to come back for more with My Songbird. JD and Brady are brilliant. It isn’t easy to make the second book in a series as good as the first, but Savvi V has made it even better. JD’s story is one I was in tears learning each layer, and Brady was in so many ways the redemption and retribution he needed on an unfair world. And Brady … she’s a kickass heroine in ways you can’t understand until you know her history. I’m loving this series, and I’m very excited to see the next book. And no, I won’t tell you who’s in that one!”

Two intense characters and one steamy story.
Brady looks for those intense eyes that are trained on her every night she performs. JD is enchanted with the new singer. Both have secrets and when revealed will they destroy the intense feelings they have for each other.
This book was non stop angst and turmoil. I loved that we got to see the true nature of JD and Brady. As they reveal their secrets and demons to each other they test their feelings.
Great angst, suspense, mystery, steaminess and sexiness.
After reading all three of the Cameo Gentlemen’s club books I have decided that My Songbird was definitely my favorite. JD and Brady had such a strong connection with each other and they both had such tragic pasts that they both deserved some happiness. Even though their story stands alone, the trilogy must be read in order due to the ongoing mystery. It isn’t a very surprising mystery but I was kept engaged throughout the series. All the stories were told from dual POV and as you would expect from a setting of a Las Vegas Gentlemen’s club there was plenty of steam!
Although I’ve never read this author before, this book was good. I’m not a fan of the two different points of view for each chapter, but that’s just my opinion. The story was satisfying with lots of heat and definitely suspenseful.
This is the second book in the series, and I wish I’d been able to get a feel for the story from the beginning. I felt ‘lost’ until about half way through probably because I hadn’t read the first book. There were times I felt I should have known something, but didn’t ‘get’ it until later.
I read this book as a stand-alone, but probably wouldn’t recommend that others read it that way.
Wow! What a roller-coaster ride of a book. This book has everything; passion, intrigue, suspense, romance and lots more. It is a definite page turner.
This book looks at Brady and JD. Brady is on the run from her past and a serious relationship that was definitely no good. In Little Havana she works at a singer at a bar that happens to be ruled by the Mob. There she meets JD, a quiet, brooding, enigmatic man who seems to suck Brady in. The only problem is that Brady has secrets which seemed to have followed her to the club and have put her in the cross-hairs of a serial killer.
JD on the other hand has ghosts from his own past which he is reluctant to let go, but Sadie seems to have a pull on him. So much so that he ends up talking to her and sharing secrets about himself.
Both of these characters are strong, both together and independently and although we see through both their eyes you feel a connection with both of the characters. There are moments of pure heartbreak from both sides as well as astonishing retribution, love and acceptance…. even though it seems to take both characters a while to get onto the same page.
This is a fast-paced book, with lots of characters from the first book making an appearance. It is worth reading the first book so that you understand different story lines and it will be interesting to see how relationships develop in the next book. A must read!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters seem so real and hold your attention. Brady/Beth doesn’t trust men and who could blame her. But JD has something that just pulls her in. JD wants Brady but thinks he will just hurt her. These two have so much chemistry and need each other. I love the mystery in this book. I am clueless to who the Lady Killer is but I am really looking forward to the next book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
My Songbird is book two in the Cameo Gentlemen’s Club series. This story is suspenseful and sexy as hell. I am glad I found this new to me author and I can’t wait to read more
This book was my first by this author and silly me didn’t realise it was part of a series. Starting with book one would have given me a bit more insight onto those other characters but really the book of Beth and JD was well written.
The broody silent JD has this air about him that you ain’t going to mess will. Beth has a past that she is trying to outrun but straight from one mob family to another but this time with the protection of JD she needs.
Beth and JD work well together with amazing chemistry that just works and I am looking forward to more
