Okay
A beautiful little children’s book you can enjoy time and time again
“My Snowman, Paul” is a very short book written in rhyme. The rhyming works quite well, but it does get broken up a little because some words to end the verses are on different pages. The story has some humor in it which kids will really like. I mean, how can you go for a snack and just leave the snowman’s head on the ground, even if a bully is laughing at you? Well, the snowman doesn’t like his head not attached, so the boy puts on the snowman’s head. Then, the boy and the snowman, Paul, have fun together despite the mean neighbor.
This is a great story for kids to help them realize to do things that they like to do even if someone criticizes them or makes fun of them. There are always people who like you for who you are and will enjoy what you do. You cannot please everyone, so do what makes you happy. If you want to make a snowman, but your neighbor thinks it’s dumb, so what? If you like, it, make the snowman! Of course, this could translate to other situations as well.
While the story is short, it packs a great lesson. The book would probably appeal to younger kids since it is short, but it also might appeal to older readers who struggle learning how to read. The rhyming pattern could be very helpful to kids.
This would be a good book for kids around ages 3-8.
I am in love with Paul and his human, Dan. This is a great book with a rhyming story for ages 0-11. Dan is in the house bored as all kids are on a snowy day. His mom suggests he build a snowman. “Snowmen aren’t great,” said Dan. He’s also thinking of Bill the boy next door who is his bah him bug person. What he learns and does spans many books and this is the start of the series. Be warned…your child will probably want more. Is that you smiling at your child wanting more books. Yes!!

I absolutely ADORE this book! My children loved it too! I’m a Children’s Book Author myself, but I love to read books like this to my kiddies as they do get tired of reading Mommy’s books ha ha! Fantastic job! Highly recommend!
It was interesting as it introduces children to the Olympics and skiing. Other than that, I did not ghink it had a lot going for it. My granddaughter only sat through one reading and if she likes a book , we read it 4 or 5 times.

“My Snowman, Paul, is an endearing book little children will certainly adore. In this first book of the Snowman Paul series, little Dan is bored on a snowy day. His mom convinces him to go out to play and build a snowman. At first, Dan thinks it’s a boring idea, but he’s in for a big surprise. It turned out his snowman is the best playmate anyone could wish for. You’ll have to check out the book to find out more, but I can assure you reading it will be a magical experience. I highly recommend it.

My granddaughter who is in kinder and I read this book every few days. She really enjoyed trying to read it herself, but mainly loves the pictures. See we live in the part of Texas that rarely sees much snow. School has been difficult for her but reading time with her Ducky is special , and the books we read together My Snowman Paul make all the difference in the world go to a little girl who is having a board time in school. Well written and lovely pictues.
The format of this book did not come out well on my Nook device – the pages were split in odd places, making it difficult to read.
Ending was abrupt, other than that this book was well written.
