4 STARS
The suspense continues in My Sinful Longing! Lauren Blakely has outdone herself with this series. I have been addicted to the storyline and how everything connects to past and present since book 1 and the saga continues. What is going on with Dora Prince and who really killed their father? So many questions we still need answers to but I am 100 percent invested and will be start book 4 immediately.
Colin is the twin brother to Shannon who I adored in My Sinful Nights. I loved getting to know more about him. He adores Elle and has a protective side but a super sweet side as well. I adored Elle. She is super sweet and caring and adores her job and has passion for the kids in the Youth Center. There was conflict between these two once a secret is revealed but they handled it well and were stronger in the end. The chemistry, connection and steamy scenes with these two were off the charts.
Narration done by Zachary Webber and Ava Erickson. LOVE their voices, they bring the voices of Colin and Elle to life. Tim Paige did a great job as Marcus as well.
Audio Review
I am enjoying this series so much. This is book 3 in the Sinful series and I love how each book it about a specific sibling but how the story is still interwoven together. In this one we get Collin’s story and how he falls in love with Elle who is a strong, independent woman raising a teenage son. He has no idea how their lives are woven together though. There are still all the mysteries around his fathers death but the clues are coming out so we are learning more and more. This is a great love story with all the heat you enjoy with a couple plus it’s a great mystery with the Vegas crime syndicate.
The multi cast of Zachary Webber, Ava Erickson, Tim Paige, Scott Brick and more are fantastic to listen to. So enjoyable.
I loved this book and love the series and highly recommend it and them.
This is the third book in the Sinful Men Series. The mystery continues where the second book left off. Elle and Colin’s story is emotional, and suspenseful. They are both great characters. Elle is strong, caring, independent and beautiful. She is a wonderful Mom. Her past is heartbreaking. She deserves her happiness. Colin is handsome and caring. They share an undeniable chemistry, and they are perfect together. I love their maturity, and I love how they work together for their happiness. The family spirit is strong and wonderful in this Series. Elle’s Mother is a fantastic character, supportive and caring. Elle’s son, Alex, is a mature and great kid. The storyline has mystery, lies, and secrets. Ava Erickson and Zachary Webber did a beautiful reading of this story. I love their voices together. The multi cast is amazing: Tim Paige (Marcus), Scott Brick (John Winston) Maxine Mitchell (Dora Prince), Sebastian York (Michael), Samantha Cook (Mindy), Brian Pallino (Kenny), and Shane East (Sanders Doyle). Looking forward to listen to the fourth book in the Series, and my most anticipated story in the Series, My Sinful Love, Michael’s story. I love this captivating and addictive Series, and I highly recommend it.
This third book in the Sinful Men series continues to keep us engaged, excited and craving more of the Sloan family and the intriguing mystery that surrounds them. This story features sexy, tattooed bad boy, Colin Sloan and Elle Mariano, owner of the at-risk Youth Center, and kick ass roller derby skater. Colin and Elle met when Colin volunteered to help at the Youth Center. Colin has turned his life around from street thug and addict in his youth to a kind, thoughtful, and generous entrepreneur. He is a math wiz who is a genius at assessing risks. Elle is a compassionate, loyal single mom who doesn’t like to take risk except when she is skating or in bed with Colin. They have a passionate ‘friends with benefits’ relationship that Colin wants to take further but because Elle is so protective of her son she holds herself back. Colin is determined to show her that he is a risk worth taking for her and for her son. They are so perfect together because they both assess risk, but from different angles. They are smart, like to have fun, and their dirty talking and fiery passion make them combustible between the sheets. I loved how their relationship grew at an honest pace from casual to emotional. I also love how Ms. Blakely writes adult characters who do not thrive on angst but work through their differences and short comings. The series long mystery arc continues to grow adding suspense and intrigue. It answers some questions but creates more with it’s twists and turns. The ending was a real shock that I never saw coming!
I loved the performances by narrators Zachary Webber, and Ava Erickson. They portray each character with a perfect balance between fun & flirty, heartbreaking emotion, and sizzling passion flawlessly. They work so well together as they bring this sweet, sexy, and emotional story to life. I also loved the fantastic cameos throughout the book from Maxine Mitchell, Tim Paige, and Scott Brick.
Ms. Blakely continues to find brilliant ways to keep this series sexy and intriguing. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for Michael and how she will continue this exciting mystery!
My Sinful Longing
By: Lauren Blakely
Narrated by: Zachary Webber, Ava Erickson, Tim Paige, Scott Brick
Series: Sinful Men, Book 3
The Sinful Men series continues a thread of mystery and suspense as we get know Colin! Colin wants Elle, but she is off limits. Definite with the line drawn, she knows from past experience what she needs to do to protect herself and her son. But one night, she gives in and sees just how good they are together. But with his past and the secret she is keeping, will they be able to find their happily ever after? I love Elle! She has to be my favorite of the women so far. Bold and protective, she is the ultimate mom to Alex and I love it. Colin has a warmth about him, that all the brothers have that is easily draws me in (Ryan is still my favorite though!). Blakely continues the main story of the series with gusto. Introducing Marcus has wreaked havoc, but also brought a new source of closeness for the brothers. It is that element of suspense that is keeping me intrigued, and I can’t wait to see what is in store next.
This narration team is excellent as always. You can ‘t go wrong with Zachary Webber and Ava Erickson, but the standout for me is Tim Paige. He is perfect as Marcus and he adds that extra excitement with this character as he begins to meld into the family. I am enjoying all the cameos of the others as it really adds to the consistency of the listen. It’s a pleasure.

Mystery and intrigue mixed in with friends-to-lovers romance.
I’m loving this re-imagined series by Lauren Blakely. It’s got more suspense and mystery than is usual for her books, but that only adds to the enjoyment of the story. Colin and Elle were a sweet partnership, being friends first puts the whole should we/ shouldn’t we back and forth into the plot. They had chemistry even though they were only friends to begin with and it was fun watching them find their true feelings and falling for each other. Meanwhile, the whole murder mystery is still chugging away as Detective Wilson digs ever deeper for answers. His separate POV was intriguing and made me want to know more… about the man and the case.
Hopefully, more answers will be found in the next book; My Sinful Love.
Sexy friends-to-lovers romance with a bit of suspense thrown in. This is Book #3 in the Sinful Men Series. This is an interconnecting series with interconnecting characters and it is best to read all of the books in order to understand what is going on.
Mmm mmm…those Sloan brothers! Colin and Elle are friends, but one evening together has them both wondering whether there could be more but there are demons from their pasts that could stand in their way. There are surprising secrets that are unraveled. These secrets have the power to destroy. Some things get clearer while others get complicated. This was a well-written story with wonderful characters. I am loving these Sloan brothers and their stories! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
***ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.***
I have been enjoying the revamping of this series so much. The heroes and heroines throughout have been fantastic. In this book, we get the love story of the youngest Sloan brother, Colin. Through his volunteer work, he has meet the lovely Elle. The attraction is there but Elle is a little hesitant because of a common denominator from their pasts. Colin wants Elle and he will do whatever it takes to get her to be his. What starts off as some fun-filled nights quickly turns into something more for both Colin and Elle. While they try their best to make it work, the past comes back to possibly doom them. The intensity between Colin and Elle was great. There was no denying the magnitude of their feelings for one another. I really loved seeing them give into each other and I loved when they were together. I also enjoyed the underlying situation that has started from the first book. More and more clues are being introduced and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Once again Lauren has woven a story that I can not get enough of. Everything flowed so nicely. I’m so excited for the next book in the series and seeing where Lauren takes us.
Sexy, heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance!
Colin and Elle have been friends for a year, but one perfect evening together causes both to question whether there can be — or should be — more. Colin’s life is pretty turbulent since the investigation into his father’s murder has recently been reopened, and he finds he’s ready to find more meaning in his relationships, especially with Elle.
The mystery that started in the first book and really got going in the second has some intense and surprising revelations in this story. Connections that you’d never expect are revealed, and these details are brilliantly threaded throughout Colin and Elle’s blossoming relationship. They get a very satisfying HEA for the romance, while everything regarding the murder investigation is left wide open and headed in an entirely new direction.
I really enjoyed this story, and I am immensely enjoying the entire Sloan family story arc throughout all the books. All the various characters are very well-developed, and the use of multiple first-person POV really keeps the intensity amped up from start to finish. I can’t wait to see how it all wraps up. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
4.5 Stars – not quite as passionate as the previous books
Although book 3 in the Sinful Men series didn’t quite hit the mark with me as the previous two books did, it was still a great story (following on from the previous 2 books, as Detective John Winston tries to piece together the murder 18 years prior). The characters were wonderful, I loved them all in the previous books, they just get better and better. I love the storyline, and I have to say it’s getting a little more tense in places as the detective starts closing in on his suspects. Secrets are coming out and and we’re getting a clearer picture as to the comings and goings in the life of Dora Prince, who, let’s face it, is at the centre of this whole series. What a mystery she is. Book 3 focusses on the youngest sibling, and twin to Shannon, Colin, as he tries to work out his feelings for his friend Elle Mariano, who because of a previous toxic relationship is giving off mixed signals, mainly because she’s fighting her attraction to Colin. I can not get enough of this series, so, yes I’m diving straight into book 4. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
