Falling in love with my much, much older stepbrother was unexpected and inappropriate. Suffering in silence while he treated me like I’m his kid sister was innocent and unavoidable. Finding out he never cared about me, not even as a younger stepsister, was unbearable. Everything about Gabriel is insufferable but hating him… is impossible. When I thought I couldn’t feel any worse, a simple piece … simple piece of information puts everything in a different light.
Finding out Gabriel’s secret, messes me up. A part of me wants to run away, to avoid a deeper pain. Another part wants to stay and fight for a chance to be happy with him.
The slow-burn romance between Melody and Gabriel finally gets the well-deserved Happily Ever After.

Wonderful love story.
Wow! I’ve loved reading Gabriel & Melody’s story & reading this part was worth waiting for. Gabriel was still in my bad books from the start after the way he’d treated Melody at the wedding & ignoring her when she got home but when he got rushed into hospital I was really worried for him until he refused to see her being his pig headed self. Melody was determined to find out why he took himself of the list & why he refused to see her in hospital so when he was at home she went to see him, when he explained why he behaved at the wedding the way he did It made me tear up it was so emotional, I so did not expect him to say what he did, but then there was still that little bit of spark & banter with Melody that made me smile again. Marissa more than made up for how she kept leaving me hanging at the end of the other three books with this beautiful unpredictable ending.
This series is something that I definately recommend reading.

My Older Step-Brother 4: Irresistible is the last part of this series, it will open up your eyes to the secrets behind the pain and uncertainties. Gabriel’s feeling are raw and the emotion of the story is powerful. Their chemistry has you pulling for their love .

After Melody and Gabriel are together he tells her it was a mistake which breaks her heart. He leaves the next morning and Melody hides her heartbreak from their parents. She tries to move forward and go back to normal but he doesn’t show up to meet her like usual for their lunch date which hurts her even more. After this Melody forces herself to put Gabriel behind her and tries dating. However what she doesn’t know is that Gabriel has been pushing her away for a reason and its something he has kept hidden from her. Will Gabriel finally come clean and tell Melody everything? Can they be together?
This is a great series with a lot of ups and downs before you get to the heart of what keeps them apart. I would’ve loved to have known more about what was going on with Gabriel’s side of things but its still a great series. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is the 4th book in the girls playing with fire series. It is a short story and the final book in the series. Finally find out if melody and Gabriel get their HEA.

The fourth installment of this series, and the author has sewn it all up in a tidy little happily ever after. Ms. Blush is an expert at the cliff hanger. She will string you along, leaving you panting for the next book. Having read several of her series, I believe she does this to get and keep you invested in the characters. For instance, in this series, in each book, we learned a little more about Gabriel and Melody and in this one, we understand why we waited. Ms. Blush is one of my favorite authors and I strongly recommend this book.

Melody is heartbroken when Gabriel insists on pushing her away and telling her that sleeping together was a mistake. By morning, he had gone. But Melody pulled herself together and moved on, trying to hide her feelings from their parents, even though it felt like they knew sometimes.
Back in Vancouver, Gabriel still makes no move to contact Melody. Again, she keeps her life moving along, dating guys that mean nothing. She finally tries to get Gabriel to meet her for lunch and he didn’t show up. When he does arrive the next day, she isn’t ready to talk to him and walks away. But he has something he has kept from her and this is a difficult way to find out the truth. Will they get a chance to work out whether they can ever have a relationship?
This book had so much feeling and emotions running wild. I doubt anyone suspected the final shocking twist. Melody was amazing with how she dealt with all the pains and the rejection and still didn’t let it bring her to a halt. She really deserves a HEA – but will she get that with Gabriel? Or will she have to move on once again?
He has a literal change of heart
My Older Stepbrother 4: Irresistible is the fourth and final episode in Girls Playing with Fire about Melody and Gabriel. This part starts right where the previous book ends……..with Melody reeling in Brazil after she and Gabriel had an encounter of the taboo type in his hotel room. The next morning when she gets to the beach she is not able to settle and there is not sight of Gabriel. James tells her that he has left but James is also a bit different and Melody thinks that he knows what has been happening. When they get back to Vancouver Gabriel does not contact her so Melody throws herself into dating some of the boys from her school, but nothing feels right. Breaking down she texts Gabriel asking him to come for lunch, well she forgot the please so really it was more like an order. But when Saturday comes and goes with no Gabriel she realizes that he will not be coming. That is until he walks in on Sunday and she ends up running away like a scared child, hiding under a blanket on her bed. But ambulance sirens approaching the house have her coming out faster than a cat chasing a mouse, after all she loves and cares for each of the three people in the house. It is Gabriel who is carried away on a stretcher to the hospital. It seems there is something with his heart that he has never told her.
This last installment of the story is drama filled and emotional. it was a bit rushed in places but is still well written and gives a satisfying HEA for Melody and Gabriel. We also get a better glimpse into Gabriel and the way he has been acting with Melody all along. He did finally redeem himself for the most part as the “Ice King” finally melted and he got his heart beating for Melody.
Short, simple, and sweet. Interesting twist going on with why Gabriel pushed Melody away. They hooked up at the end of the last book and Gabriel pushed her away, but she’s not having any of that. The connection between the two is really sweet, and they do have some passion between them. The last chapter was too rushed for me, but I do want to read more with these characters. There’s a bit of a cliffhanger going on, but the book ends in a satisfying way. Overall, a sweet, heartfelt rushed romance.
Melody and Gabriel are step siblings and she has a big crush on the much older Gabriel but he barely notices her. I enjoyed reading this last story of their romance and felt sorry for her as he treated her badly but he had a secret that he was keeping. I am sorry that is missed the other books in this series because it took me a while to catch up but I was happy for the ending.
Melody can’t hate him. She still has feelings for him and is quite surprised by her reaction when he walks through the door. She doesn’t get much time to analyze her reaction when she is forced to face her worse fears. This last part to the whole story is captivating, shocking, breathtaking, and emotional. A great conclusion to the series.

My first time reading from this author. I’ll be looking for her books again. Melody and Gabriel are step sibling But no relations at all. The issue is Gabriel is much older then Melody and his personal secret from the family which has him trying to keep his distance from Melody. Will Melody break this wall that he has put up.
4.5 stars – While a longer epilogue would have been preferred, this installment was a good conclusion to the story. Gabriel is an idiot… on more than one occasion but Melody bounces back each time. Sometimes it’s with gusto and other times it takes a while to build. Their story takes some interesting twists but eventually they find their footing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Wow! What an ending for Gabriel and Melody. This was quite the lead-up for this couple as they navigated through their struggles to their HEA. Definitely worth the read, but you may want to read all the other stories in the lead-up to this final conclusion.

Happy dance time! I was so ready for this final episode in Gabriel and Melody’s love story and it didn’t disappoint! It was entertaining and enjoyable with plenty of feels. I wasn’t prepared for the twist and I didn’t see it coming. It did make me feel better about Gabriel because I was pretty annoyed with him at the end of the last episode. Melody was more determined and way stronger than I expected. I’m glad that Gabriel and Melody got their happy ever after. It made me super happy! I definitely recommend reading this book.
