This was one gut wrenching, captivating, steamy passionate, and a heartwarming story. Grayson needs a fake fiancee in order to gain his inheritance following his father’s death. Hannah is a business owner who needs financial help. What starts off as a fake marriage slowly becomes something more. Filled with past doubts, sibling comparisons, miscommunication, distrust, a secret baby, heartache, steamy passion, second chances, and love. Ali Parker has a way of creating fantastic, captivating stories so full of emotions. This was a great story about second chances and changes of the heart. I absolutely loved this book so much, I couldn’t put it down.
“I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.”
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy New York set novel My Last Love Affair (Bancroft Billionaire Brothers Book 1): Grayson and Hannah by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
A little twisted with a touch of irony, this is a good introduction to the large wealthy Bancroft family of six brothers and their matchmaking grandchild-hungry mother.
Self-centered power and business-focused, emotionally closed and a bit crass, CEO of New York’s Bancroft industries, Grayson Bancroft must put aside his paranoia regarding his brother Jack and his playboy ways to win the woman of his dreams, Hannah Adams, and keep the CEO/owner position that he covets.
Can be read as a standalone but best if read in series as it follows the evolving lives of the Bancroft family.
18+ recommended for steamy scenes.
This book was little bit different and I love it!
It has the alpha male and it was super hot as I like my books!
The difference was that we could see that even that the heroe was super rich, alpha male and had everything he had faults and insecurites like everyone. But it was in a way that he doesn`t get less alpha. It was fun read it with such a heroe! Refreshing too!
I know a lot of people like the “perfect heroe” but believe me that it was good see that a “perfect heroe” has faults and insecurites like everyone! It get more real!
This was an interesting read. Hannah, one of the main characters, was described as “strong” throughout the narrative. She was anything but that. What a doormat! Grayson, the other main character, was way too obnoxious and self-absorbed. He remained that way throughout most of the lengthy narrative. And yet, the plot worked. Somehow, each of the characters had his/her epiphany.
Great characters but plot twists were redundant and 75 chapters were just too long.
Wonderful. Can be read as a stand-alone, bu I got the whole series and am midway through book 2.
The story is an emotional rollercoaster with many ups and downs and you will be surprised at who cause the most drama in MY LAST LIVE AFFAIR.
Both Grayson and Hannah are CEOs and have the driven personalities that come with that. They enter into a fake relationship agreement because Grayson requires an heir to inherit his family company and Hannah needs a buyer to keep her company afloat.
Our couple excels in the carnal arts from words to deeds. It’s everything else that doesn’t work quite so smoothly. Without revealing the best parts of the plot, I can safely say I was as disappointed in Grayson as Hannah was, and as frustrated with Hannah as Grayson was. There was no shortage of well meaning friends (and stellar secondary characters) to keep figuratively ‘smacking them up along side the head’ but these two were headstrong, stubborn, driven, devoted and passionate about what mattered most to them.
Tissues? Yes. Enjoy the story.

I really liked this book and I couldn’t put it down. It was quit long with 75 chapter I believe it was, but they were short chapters. I believe some of the sexual parts could have been shortened or left out, but people who love a lot of sex and sex really explained and drawn out will love this book. Pick this book to read. It’s a great book!
This is a great read. Can you imagine a family with six brothers all unbelievably handsome and smart. Grayson is the eldest. This book is about him. He needs to find a wife and produce an heir before his 35 birthday. He makes an arrangement to do just that with a beautiful woman whose company is having financial difficulties. All they have to do is pretend they are in love. Quid Pro Quo. But somehow they are kindred spirits and the pretend part gets very real. Explicit sexual scenes. But it is a fiery romance. I am now reading the second book in the series about Grayson’s younger brother Jack. Highly recommend these books.
I loved this book, I think Ali Parker is becoming one of my favorite author
The main characters were likeable and relatable. The author took the time to develop the story and the side stories with family members and friends. It had just the right amount of angst with a good ending. I enjoyed the read and the escape. It was sexy without being over the top for my tastes. I will continue to read the other books in the series.
I loved this book. Romantic, sexy and steamy. It was spell binding.
Overdone
Learning to trus in the midst of lies makes for an interesting read.
Characters start out strong…then go all to pieces..
Not strong but kept reading
Brilliant story although Grayson did my head in on more than one occasion. I thought Hannah was really good for him. They connected well and he needed someone like Hannah to help keep him grounded.
I couldn’t finish this book. The plot was too ridiculous. It was almost like watching a train wreck, knowing you shouldn’t, so I had to stop.
This book is an emotional roller coaster. Grayson’s parents wants their children to get married and have a child, whoever does that first among their six sons will get the inheritance. Grayson doesn’t want any but he can’t work under his younger brothers being the older one, so wants to find a fake fiance for him and he also finds one, Hannah but the problem is she is her younger brother’s ex.
The book is really amazing and love it, it took me two days to finish the book with doing my other works, but i have to go through lot of resistance to take a break from this book and here I’m leaving an voluntarily review for the ARC.
My Last Love Affair was one emotional ride with some incredibly intriguing and strong characters. This is Grayson and Hannah’s story he needs a wife and soon, she needs help with a business problem so they come to an agreement. This was a well written story by Ali Parker that just grabs you from the start and is definitely a page turner. There is some action with some twists and turns and a storyline that will tug at your heart. If you love a good fake fiancée story this will be one book for you. I absolutely recommend this great book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
