Payton Summer doesn’t have time for love. Between running her own business in her hometown of Jupiter Bay and her monthly night out with her sisters, Payton has no room for men, dating, or the drama that it entails. Her life is fine just the way it is. Yet, her attraction to the one man she shouldn’t want can’t be ignored.Dean McIntire has one rule: don’t date clients. It’s a lesson he learned … learned the hard way, and sees the consequence every day when he looks at his five-year-old daughter. It’s not a rule he’d break again. Until he meets the gorgeous Payton Summer, and suddenly, Dean finds himself ready to throw the rule book right out the window.
What happens when the sparks of lust can’t be denied? One night turns in to two, and two turns in to more. Payton and Dean find themselves unable to stay away, but can they survive when their secrets are exposed?
*Though part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. It is intended for those 18 and over due to graphic language, descriptive sex, and the world’s most inappropriate grandparents.

Lacey Black I love you!!! This book, OMG…AMAZING!!!! Love the way your mind works, evil genius that you are. The relationship between the sisters is heartwarming, the family overall is fabulous, the grandparents killed me!!! The emotions…so many emotions. Need next book now, can’t wait for more!!
My Kinda Night is the oh-so-incredible, INSANELY good 2nd book in the Summer Sisters series, where we get Payton Summer and Dean McIntire’s juicy, full-throttle love story!!
Payton is the Summer sister that everyone looks up to and looks to for advice because, after all, she is smart, successful, has her life all figured out, right?! BUT, there is sooooo much going on with her that she hasn’t let ANYONE know about! Something she has no intention of sharing….ever!! Then along comes Dean, someone Payton has business with, someone who has his OWN issues with relationships and his rules governing them!!!
I LOVED the way these two fought their attraction for one another, the intense sexual chemistry between them that neither one of them could deny or control! *fans self* And of course the banter between all the sisters’ and those HILARIOUSLY inappropriate but funny Grandparents!!?? I had tears running down my face from laughing at the shenanigans! I want to be adopted into this incredibly funny, loving family that will at times make you want to pull out your hair, but EVERYTHING is always done with the utmost love and respect!
Lacey Black has captivated me with this series and I simply CAN’T WAIT for the next Summer sisters’ love story to hit my kindle! An ABSOLUTE MUST READ series, for sure!
Oh how I’ve missed the Summer sisters! It was far too long in between these first two stories…. Lacey really needs to write faster!
After absolutely loving the first book in this series, I had no doubt that I would love this book the same. And I was not at all disappointed.
Book 2 in this series focuses on the eldest Summer sister – Payton. Payton has always been the responsible rock in the family. Especially after losing their mother when the sisters were all young. All the sisters look to Payton for advice and help.
Payton is now 35 and feeling the effects of spending the rest of her life alone. Her first and only relationship ending after he couldn’t handle the news that would potentially shape their future. He was a coward and ran! Which ultimately leaves Payton feeling like she can never be loved again, because she’s damaged.
But then she meets Dean – her new accountant. Dean is hot and smart! They “accidentally” sleep together one night when going over her accounts. Swearing it was only that 1 time…..there seems to be a problem when it happens again…..and again!
Dean refuses to have a relationship with a client! And Payton refuses to have a relationship for fear of having her heart broken. Pity both of their hearts don’t get the memo from their heads!
It was gorgeous being able to read this journey unfold. Getting to know Payton better – and some of the other Summer sisters too. Lacey was able to include the other sisters, without losing the story of Payton and Dean.
And I was so stoked that the wildly inappropriate grandparents are back in this story – and are as feisty as ever!
I can hardly wait to read the next instalment – and the next – and the next – and the next!

Oh, Lacey Black!!!! I can not get over these sisters.. And their crazy inappropriate grandparents. I can not wait to see more of this family. I loved you writing. I loved how easy it was to fall for your characters, and I love how you make me laugh.
Payton is in her early thirties, but the oldest sibling of all the sisters. Her family is her everything. They spend one night a month together doing different things, She owns her own flower shop and longs for something more, but thinks it is entirely out of the question because of a secret she has not told no one, and between her business and family, she doesn’t have time for much more.
Dean, the quiet “nerd” is busy raising his 5 year old daughter by himself, while working for a company doing taxes. His daughter is and has been all he has time for. He works, to pay this bills, and the rest of the time is for his daughter. He learned along time ago to never mix business with pleasure.
What starts as a business relationship quickly turns into sexual attraction, which in turn, turns to fun with no strings attached. When a business trip for Summer goes south, she has no where to go, but to the only person she knows in town, Dean. The more time they spend together the more feelings get involved, but what happens, when the unexpected happens? When tragedy happens? When secrets come out? Do you stay and fight for what is worth fighting for, or do you go and forget everything, and move on?
I loved this story so much! You broke my heart, and I understand the reasoning, and I respect it. I can NOT wait for Abby and Levi’s story! I am forever a fan now, and look forward to all your books.
I really enjoyed this book…
Another five star
I absolutely love this series! Payton and Dean are perfect together and balance one another so well. The issues that this family deals with are painful but there is always Grandma and Grandpa to lighten up the mood!
What! A! Ride! I loved this book. I highly suggest that you NOT read this book unless you have read book 1 or you won’t get a feeling for the characters. Now, that being said…if you needed to read this first you could, but I highly advise against it. Dean and Payton are perfect. The book is about them learning how to be in a relationship when both of them try to fight it. It’s about family. Got to LOVE “the Grandparents”. There is a lot of humor in this book. A lot of love. A lot of family. And a twist that I honestly didn’t see coming. It broke me though. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger, but Abby’s story is next.
WOW!! I loved this book.I have been looking forward to this book and Lacey did not disappoint. She always has such beautiful writing!! I love when a book draws me in from the beginning and has me so wrapped up that I lose track of time and has me sad when I know it’s almost over!!I don’t even know where to begin I felt so many emotions in this book! Dean and Payton are perfect for each other! Their chemistry was amazing. One thing I love about this series is how much I laugh. The grandparents are epic!! There were a few twists in this book I was not expecting even though some left me heartbroken and crying and some left me swooning they were done perfectly!! I love this entire family and I can’t wait for the next book!!
