Jenna van Berke has written a 5-star book. Journey has been told by her dying husband that he had a secret. He tells her to go meet a man by the name of Richard in Germany. It takes her over a year to go, and when she gets there she finds out that James, her husband had a son with Sophie. Richard fell in love with Sophie when he met her and her him. Sophie breaks up with James and marries Richard. This is all a shock for Journey and she needs time to think. Jonas, Richard’s son looks just like Journey and Jame’s son Noah. Things are going well for Journey and Richard and they end up getting together. When it is time for her to leave and go home, Richard tells her that he will come see her soon. Things are great when he gets there but turn when Richard calls out Sophie’s names while he is asleep in bed with journey. She remembers Richard telling her that she is a lot like Sophie and she starts to think that she was just a replacement for her to both James and Richard. Richard knows something is wrong when he wakes up and sees Journey. He asks her “What is wrong?” She tells him that she can’t do this anymore. He asks what can’t she do? She said us and doesn’t say anything more. Richard and Jonas go back to Germany. He can’t think of what he did or said that would cause her to act that way. Richard sent her a letter asking her to meet him at their rock. When she gets there he wants to know what happened between them and she tells him about he calling out Sophie’s name and that she was just a replacement for her to him and James. Richard tells her that she may look like Sophie but she did not act like her.
Will Richard get Journey to believe him when he tells her that he wants her and not Sophie?
Will Journey let Richard in and go back to Germany with him or will she stay in California?
This was a wonderful and emotional book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Very well written and enjoyable to read. You run the gamete of emotions on this one. From heartbreak to heartwarming. It was really a shock what a secret he had and what it involved. To have so many years of love and life invested with someone just to find that out. Where do you take it from there or do? I highly recommend this. I was glued to it from beginning to end. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Journey’s husband James passed away, but not before leaving her instructions to go see his friend Richard in Germany, saying that Richard will explain everything. James had a life before Journey, and it’s complicated. A year later, she and their son Noah make the trip, not quite sure what to expect. Did James send Journey to Richard to make sure they would meet, knowing that they might fall in love? This is such a touching story of forgiveness and new love. I was pulled into this story almost immediately, and just could not put it down. The characters are strong and well developed, and I enjoyed the book tremendously.

This is a well written book with strong characters and an intriguing story line. The author brings Journey and Richard together under unusual circumstances when her husband James leaves a letter for her when he passes away. In it is a secret that will change both Journey and Richard’s lives. The author does a great job developing the story and pulling you in with an emotional and heartwarming romance. It’s a story of discovery and forgiveness as well as starting over and finding love when least expected. I enjoyed reading their story and would recommend this book.

Interesting story, a bit suspenseful, with some romance mixed in. Good book!
This is a story of forgiveness and new love. It was a little hazy and jumping of the gun. But otherwise the book is a good romance read.
