Stark Belson is a young, sexy billionaire who looks just like Superman. He is devoting all his energy to creating a zero-emission NASCAR team that can beat all the standard cars. Darla Swensen is a nurse who loves NASCAR. When he is in the hospital, recovering from a crash, she treats his injuries and they begin a love affair that is fraught with trouble, first from her ex-boyfriend Kyle, another … another NASCAR driver, and then from Kyle’s girlfriend, Kimmy Strange, who is determined to get on the team that Stark is trying to put together. Darla is jealous and worried that Stark will leave her for Kimmy, especially when it is revealed that she is an amazing driver, and incredibly sexy. As Stark tries to woo her, first by gaining the trust of her family, and then by wining and dining her, she starts to fear something is up with Kimmy Strange, the sexy female driver he hires to drive for his team. Her own worries about him, and his assumption that all women are hitting on him, combine to create a toxic environment. Eventually, Darla decides she doesn’t want to get married at all, but through determination and a love that transcends all their difficulties, Stark moves heaven and earth to prove to Darla that she should marry him, even though she is not sure she wants to be married to anyone. This deeply caring and sexy man finally convinced Darla that she should get married to him in the most original and ingenious way possible
My Hot Ride II is a steamy 47,000-word billionaire contemporary romance. It is the second installment of the My Hot Ride series and can be read as a standalone story with a happily ever after ending.

If you are into sex, NASCAR, indecisiveness and jealousy, this might be the book for you. Unfortunately, it took me much longer to read it than I had anticipated. It was not my typical trope, so I imagine that might have something to do with it. I also found that there were a lot of editing errors. I will not discount Ms. Havemeyers, though, as some portions of this book were entertaining.

Darla is a nurse and meets stark when she looks after him after he is getting better from a crash.
Stark works for NASCAR is trying to get a team together to beat all other teams.
Darla went out with of Starks team.members Kyle, they broke up when he cheated on her with another of the team members kimmy.
Darla and kimmy dont get on, mostly because Darla thinks kimmy is after her man.
I enjoyed this book.
But admit it did take a bit for me to get into the book at the beginning.
I like the different dynamics of this book , like Darla ex being on the team and Darla having to put up with kimmy.
I love it how the NASCAR racing is described and the sound effects put into one of the cars sounds awesome.
I feel Darla and stark have a great relationship but she needs to learn to trust him more, especially when it comes to kimmy.
I gave this book 4/5 stars as it took a little bit for me to get into the story at the beginning but I loved it once I did.

My Hot Ride II is Ms. Laura Havemeyers newest publication and although it is a quick and hard hitting book, I loved it.
Stark Belson, self made billionaire and an all around superstar, successful man continues to try to get Darla Swensen to be his one and only. There are definitely obstacles and their journey is a rough one, however, I encourage all romance junkies, like myself, to devour this release ASAP.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader’s copy of My Hot Ride II in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Laura. Her talent knows no end.
Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Loved the description of the NASCAR you felt the vibrations from the racing, the smell, the sound and the adrenaline. The excitement that runs through Darla watching NASCAR drivers racing each other.
Thank you for allowing me toreview this book it was great.

Race cars and racy scenes in an enigmatic telling a story. HEA with perfect ending.
I had a little trouble keeping things straight especially in the beginning. The intro was of some help. After the ending, I even. found myself going back to the beginning to try and visualize the time line of the relationships. I felt the book started off a little slow but if you stick with it, the drama and the characters will bring you in.
I felt there were some gaps in the storyline which in my opinion, if filled in, would have improved the flow. Some had to do with timeline but, others had to do with the characters not being as fleshed out as they could have been. The information provided was given to the reader in dribs and drabs. I still feel this book is very worthy read. Perhaps one of the best aspects is the way the author portrayed the realistic internal angst that couples go through while getting to know each other.

I hate giving bad reviews but sadly, I couldn’t get past 20% and stopped. The writing and editing are fine and the subject had me looking forward to reading this book. Something about the writing style just didn’t do it for me. I was forcing myself to read it and I’m having a hard time explaining exactly what it was that was missing but for me, but there was definitely something lacking. I just didn’t care to spend any more time on this particular book so I stopped reading.

Stark’s and Darla are such a cute, sweet couple. This book shows the ups and downs of all relationships and the quirks that go along with it. I loved Darla’s bar room brawl due to liquid courage. I think if I had a spirit character, it might be Darla. She is s smart, sassy, and knows what she wants. If you want a good book to read, read this.

This continues the tale of Stark, a billionaire NASCAR enthusiast and Darla, a nurse and NASCAR enthusiast. He is obsessed with building an electric TESLA-S racecar to preserve the environment. Darla is feeling a little threatened and jealous of a young “Bimbo” whom she thinks wants her man, Stark. In addition, she is torn about how she feels about marrying Stark because of leftover baggage from a previous relationship. This has some action and a few twists. It is a very enjoyable read!

This is book two in this series and continues Darla and Stark’s story. Stark seems so self contained and effective in his life, while Darla has so much angst and insecurities. The story also revolves around NASCAR and environmental protection. The characters are well developed and new characters emerge. Good read!

Good
I read the 1st book, hot rod & now hot rod Ii. Enjoyed both. I just really enjoy. I’m glad Darla moved on from Myls, hooked up with Stark. She moved on with her life. Stark was a good man & Darla had to see that for herself. It was another hot story! Nice it’s about race car drivers instead of motorcycle guys.

Kyle’s still an idiot. Kimmie’s wising up about that. Stark and Stan are busy putting together a kick-ass racing team – Kyle, Kimmie, and maybe Stark. Darla’s feeling a bit jealous about Kimmie, thinking that maybe she’s gonna make a move on Stark. When anyone else looks at Stark, all they see is how much he loves Darla. She almost blows it (can’t give away too much). But Stark’s such a romantic, and proves it at the end of the book. I really enjoyed this followup to the first book – easy reading, and Darla finally gets her HEA.
