Christmas is the season of second chances. I’m not the same guy I was growing up, but I have some apologies to make for being him. My fifteen-year high school reunion reminds me of my biggest regret. Walking away from the love of my life to chase my career. By doing so, I fell in love with another woman, had a little boy, and life mended itself. Until my wife passed away. Love can suck it. …
Until my wife passed away.
Love can suck it. I’m not interested anymore.
And yet the minute I see my childhood sweetheart at our reunion, the ice melts inside my chest.
But she hates my guts for leaving her without a goodbye when we were kids, and I can’t blame her.
An unexpected chain of events has her in an accident and without her memory for a short time.
As much as I hate myself for doing it, I tell her she watches my son and works for me.
I just need time to help her remember how much we loved each other.
It’s not right, but she’s always been mine.
I can’t keep up the lie forever, but before I reveal what I’ve done, maybe she’ll see the man I am today.
Different. Strong. Completely in love with her.
Or maybe she’ll recognize the truth.
I haven’t changed at all.
Every Good Girl Deserves a Bad Boy. ~ Weston

This was a soap opera between two covers. With big powerful emotions, lost loves, memory loss, make-believe, and second chances, this book was one hundred percent the text version of a daytime drama. I spent most of this book sawing back and forth between love and hate with both Lina and Cal. There were character traits I loved them for, but there were also times I wanted to shake the pair and yell some sense into their thick skulls. I adored their supporting cast and I want to see them get their happily-ever-afters too.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Callum and Lina were high school sweethearts, until he broke her heart when he decided to go to Harvard without even telling her. Years later they meet again during their 15 year high school reunion. Things don’t go well and Lina and her friend Kelli end up having an accident, causing Lina to lose her memory. This was a well written emotional rollercoaster ride. The characters were interesting well developed and had great chemistry. If you enjoy reading second chance romance you will definitely want to one click this book.
I voluntarily received an advanced arc copy for an honest review.
Wow what a wonderful holiday story. It tells us a tale of high school sweetheart, bad moments and what happens fifteen years later that changes not one life but the loves of 4 other people. We meet Lina, Cal Asher and a fee others. We watch two people fight really hard for what was lost in anger and try to get it back. Never knowing what might have been if it went how they planned to knowing what did happen makes this story so real and heartwarming that you can’t help but cry. This was so good that I think Kelli and maybe Nick need stories as well. This is a amazing read please go out and read it. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
3 1/2*
Callum & Lina dated in high school but their graduation night wasn’t one to remember. Fast forward 15 years and a rash decision may allow him to right the wrong but at what costs?
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Callum broke Lina’s heart when he decided to go to Harvard for law school and tell her the night of their high school graduation. As life long friends and high school sweethearts, she couldn’t believe how he treated her. Fast forward fifteen years and both of their lives have changed. Callum is a single dad and Lina is a successful model. They see each other at their high school reunion and Lina leaves upset with her best friend. A car accident on the way home causes Lina to lose her memory. Callum is broken over this and takes her in when she leaves the hospital. He fabricates a story about her working with him and his son. After warnings from his dad to come clean do not work, he lives in the fear that she will remember how they actually left things. Will they be able to reconnect and forgive the past? Will her recovered memories stop them from moving forward? WOW – this book will grab you and make it difficult to stop until you reach the ending. A HEA is promised, however, you will feel a full range of emotions before you get there! I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving this review.
