Love isn’t for the black sheep of the family. Believe me. I’m him.Roses. Chocolates. Love notes.Bullshit. Until it isn’t.Never in a million years did I expect to fall in love.Let alone with her. My favorite childhood enemy. This girl used to make my blood boil just by walking in the room. Now she does other things to me with nothing more than a look. And it’s making me want more than the tense … than a look.
And it’s making me want more than the tense passion we keep doing nothing about.
I’ll break down her walls and show her a side of me she’s never seen. One that will steal her breath and hold her heart hostage.
It’s my first time to entertain the idea of forever, but she leaves me no choice.
And no matter how hard she resists, this girl?
She’s mine. All mine.

Definitely an affair to love
Adelaide, a coffee shop owner, and Mason, billionaire Bancroft bad boy, have always been at odds until one night out with each of their best friends. As the story progresses relationships evolve, feelings are exposed, and too much change could derail them all. Ali Parker has taken this enemies turned lovers tale to another level in My First Love Affair. Her portrayal of the Bancroft family dynamic is realistic and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the remaining Bancroft brothers.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This is one of those stories that wears you out from reading it because you are so emotionally involved with the characters! Mason and Adelaide’s relationship is difficult because they are too much alike and because of that there is no give and take. With all of their bantering it is amazing that they find time for love but it works for this intriguing couple as they play the romance dance to happily ever after. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This pair is so very stubborn, pig-headed, opinionated, guarded, and defensive. As with Grayson and Hannah, I spent most of this book trying to figure out whether I wanted to smack Mason or Adelaide harder. For every two steps they moved the relationship forward, they took a step back and another to the side; usually opposite directions. I found it very easy to understand why Mason behaved the way he does, but Addy’s behavior wasn’t always so simple to comprehend. They really are kind of the perfect match. They are so much alike in so many ways. And maybe that’s why they frustrated me so much. They mirrored each other’s actions and words, coming from similar places of hurt, but couldn’t grasp why the other was acting that way. I can’t wait until we get to see the next Bancroft Brother find his forever.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
