Do you go with the safe choice, or the choice your heart wants? Both Jackson and Matt left me standing, unmarried and alone at the alter when I dropped my bombshell of a secret in front of all our wedding guests. I never imagined my life as a single mom. Nor did I envision two different men vying to give me a future. Matt professes to love me, but he also loves my bank account. He’s definitely the … account. He’s definitely the safe, proper choice, but the thought of spending the rest of my life with him leaves me feeling uncertain.
Jackson stole my heart, but everything he offers me is out of a sense of duty, not love. Why won’t he let me get close to his heart? Can I really choose a future with someone who doesn’t have feelings for me?
I love Jackson but I’m sure he will break my heart.

This is book two and you definitely need to read book one before starting this one. If you’ve read book one than continue reading my review for book two, otherwise please read book one first.
We pickup where book one left off. Emily couldn’t go through with her wedding to Matt because she didn’t love him and she was carrying Jackson’s baby. Jackson asks her to marry him and move to Virginia with him. When they finally get base housing and Emily moves on to the base with him she learns something about Jackson that devastates her and she isn’t sure where they go from there. With secrets, a vindictive ex and Jackson’s completely unemotional declaration that he is committed to her and their baby it is a wonder how Emily can even handle the way everyone treats her including Jackson. This is a heart wrenching, in your face, realistic story and it grabs your attention from the very beginning of book one. Definitely a must read and I’m looking forward to book three entitled My Fake Fiancè.

So someone in a facebook group I’m in asked for a book with other woman drama, but no cheating and this book got recommended. It’s actually a duet, but the person recommending it mentioned that the other woman angst was in book 2 so I went straight to this one and skipped the first.
I actually loved reading it – I could definitely feel the angst, which was exactly what I was looking for. The characters are messy, have trouble communicating with each other and have a lot of miscommunications but it’s not done in a silly, completely unbelievable way. It’s very realistically written. I have not a clue exactly what took place in the first book, but in this one Emily has left her fiance at the altar because she is pregnant with Jackson, her fiance’s “brother” baby. Emily is in love with him, but Jackson has issues with the idea of love and feelings, but wants to commit to her and the baby. They get married and move to base to make a life together. It’s a little more complicated than this though. The bulk of the story is them finding their way through this situation together.
This is really well written and I loved how the characters are written, but there was also some real flaws with this story. There were so many loose ends and things that never truly get resolved. For instance there is an issue with her ex-fiance at one point, and we never truly get a resolution to exactly what happened in that scenario – we just never see or hear of him again. Then there is the other woman angst. This woman has been harassing Emily, and it’s even strongly hinted that she might be behind someone trying poison Emily’s dog, but the whole thing just completely disappears at some point with no resolution. This was a HUGE issue for me, I prefer authors to leave things out if they don’t fully resolve them because it just leaves things feeling very unfinished or as though something went wrong in the editing. Had the overall story not been so compelling, I probably would have rated it lower, but seriously once I started this book I really couldn’t put it down until I finished it, so it still deserved a fairly high rating!
Jackson is every girls dream! Tall, dark, built, cut, and a SEAL! After coming to stay with family he meets his friend Matt’s fiancé Emily. Em is a meek little red head taking on the world until she meets Jackson! Her world is turned upside down as she has to decided if she wants what the heart wants or the safe choice? Odette crams all the feels Of falling in love for the first time into a story full of Action, comedy, and drama! One of my favorite rereads!
The conclusion of Jackson & Emily’s story was intense! Emily was learning her way as a military wife with a baby on the way, dealing with a jaded ex or two, and a emotionally repressed husband! Everything hits the fan as these two merge their lives and deal with everything that comes with being married and deploying! Definitely on my reread list!
The storyline was not the “typical” falling for my fiancé brother story. I think the title may have thrown a lot of readers off but if you have read any of Odette Stone’s previous stories, you know you’re in for a treat. I admired Emily’s growth and strength in this story. You will begin to understand the reason why her relationship with her fiancé Matt is not the typical love story. Jackson not the “typical” brother to Matt and their childhood was part of the reason their personalities are so different. I love the development of Emily and Jackson’s relationship and how it was written. The title does not justify this incredibly written romance novel! I’m looking forward to reading the conclusion soon!
Wow, This One Tears Your Heart To Pieces!!

My Fiancé’s Brother: Part 2 (The Guilty Series #2)
Urgh, this gutted me throughout much of the book. When things are good they’re pretty great but when things go wrong or are a bit rocky …. Devastation!
Everything seems to be against Emily & Jackson from the get go in Virginia. Jackson & his ex seem in their way more than anything else, along with Emily’s insecurities of course!! WAG’s take sides, vicious rumours abound & someone seems to be trying poison their dog Chloe!! The pregnancy progresses but she’s alone nearly all the time & when Jackson returns from training they’re more like roommates than husband & wife!
Emily discovers the truth about his childhood & how he ended up being taken into her ex-fiance’s Family home at times. It’s ugly, painful, shocking, heart breaking & it disgusts her!! She can’t believe what he was put through from such a young age by adults that were meant to protect him. Breaking his trust in finding this information out might destroy them so she chooses to stay silent!
I loved this emotionally charged read. I loathed Harper with a passion, no surprise there. This was a wonderful Duet.

Could Not Put It Down!
A Steamy, Emotional, Romantic page turner that held me spellbound from page one to the last page. On to book two of this amazing series!
A Review of My Fiancé’s Brother, Book 2 by Odette Stone
Emily and Jackson continued – 5 stars
If you haven’t read the first book, you will definitely want to read it before you start this one. There are so many twists and turns in this duet that you will find it hard to understand what is going on unless you start at the beginning. Definitely worth the time to purchase and read.

mily has stopped the wedding to Matt, and now Matt and Jackson both know that Emily is pregnant. Both Matt and Jackson say that they want to marry her.
Jackson and Emily end up getting married at the court house, and he has to return back to base. Jackson has to apply for housing and it may take some time. When a house finally opens up, Emily heads down and learns that Jackson didn’t let anyone know about their marriage until the day they were moving in. She overhears some guys talking, and realizes that they think that he married someone else named Harper. Emily comes to find out that Jackson and Harper were together 3 years, and broke up right before he came to New York.
Emily is having such a rough time when all of the base is team Harper. Jackson does not understand all her concerns, and there’s so much more to read. Will Emily and Alien find a place in Jackson’s heart. Did Emily do the wrong thing…
Captivating second book! A roller-coaster of a journey in the tumultuous relationship of Emily and Jackson. A brief look into what a servicemans wife could experience.
I found this to be an extremely angsty and emotional read. It’s so well written, I wanted to reach into the book and smack Emily and Jackson on several occasions. There are times it’s difficult to tell whether they’re trying to make their relationship work or rip it to shreds. I guess it’s that ambiguity that makes such compelling reading. I’ve read the books that come after this, so I knew how it would turn out. I just never expected that their road there was going to be quite so rocky.

So this book is the continuation of Emily and Jackson’s story, which by the way ended in a heart wrenching cliffhanger in book 1. It is an emotional roller coaster read. The range of emotions I felt are hard to put into words. They ran from heartbreak, anger, sadness and overwhelming joy. Emily and Jackson’s story will not only rip your heart out, it will leave you believing that the power of love can and will conquer all.
I am totally in love with this series, with all the emotions, the ups and downs and of course the steamy romance. It is for all these reasons that I would definitely recommend not only this book but the entire series.

This book was so good that it led me to a sleepless night…but what an amazingly sleepless night it was! I love this series. Everything about it was plain perfect! This book was definitely intense and made you want to throat punch someone…but it was also amazing and sweet with a touch of laughter in there as well. This is the type of series one have to buy in print to add to your collection. Well written. I loved it!

A well written first part of a love story taking place in Bew York between Emily and Jackson. Emily lives with her financee Matt. Their relationship is in desmise due to Matt’s betrayal and abandonment of always working and distant. Jackson a career soldier is in town for therapy staying with them for a few months because Matt and his Mother are his adoptive family. This installment is if Emily and Jackson and their growing attraction. Truly injoined hot steamy scenes. Emily is wealthy and insecure and all she wants is family which is what she thought Matt would give her, but him and his family only seemes to want her money. Leaves on a cliffhanger but have no fear book 2 is already out.

This is part two of a two part story. Part one ended in a cliffhanger and part two picked up where the previous left off. Secrets were revealed and mysteries uncovered but I still felt there were some questions left unanswered. I was glad to see growth in Emily. I loved Jackson in part one, and still liked him, but he frustrated me a little. Their story took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I enjoyed it.

This book was something alright! Even in the first book, it was so frustrating but I am glad that I continued on to book 2 because book 3 was even better but anyways, this book was great I am so happy that it had an HEA. I am always a sucker for those and big strong men!

What an ending to this duet. I really loved the second book and all the emotions the characters all dealt with. Emily was such a strong character and I truly loved her and Jackson together. I’m so glad the book ended the way it did. Great read.

I really enjoyed this book,,, but it was done waaayyyy too soon,,,, hoping for the next book to come out,,,,
Emily is so ready to marry her fiance, Mark,,,, Mark and Emily are planning their wedding together,,,, Mark works as a junior partner in a law firm,,, doing really well for himself, and Emily,,,, well, Emily has all the money she wants,,, she just lives off the interest of said money,,,,but, Mark seems to be changing,,,, but, maybe Em is just imagining it,,,,
Then one morning, she hears something in her house,,, Mark isn’t home, he’s at work,,, she arms herself and goes downstairs in search for said intruder and next thing you know, she’s waking up with a strange man in her house,,,, not knowing whom this giant, shredded, good looking man is,,,, she goes about asking his intentions and that’s when he informed her that his name was Jackson and Mark had invited him to stay with them,,,,
So,,,, I’ve given you a couple names,,, you really should read this book,,, it is an interesting book that will keep you reading,,, this book has many different problems and problems on top of problems and some very good steamy scenes,,,, I totally recommend this book,,,,
