From New York Times Bestselling authors Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland comes a new, sexy standalone novel.
My planned trip for two unexpectedly turned into a trip for one. Rather than let my breakup get me down, I packed my bags and decided a week at a luxury resort was just what I needed.
But one calamity after the next, and suddenly I was stuck without a hotel room, along with a few hundred … room, along with a few hundred other people.
It looked like my fancy vacation was about to turn into me sleeping on the hotel lobby floor.
Until I overheard a gorgeous man pretending to be someone he wasn’t in order to steal a reservation from a guest who hadn’t shown up yet.
When I realized there were two rooms, instead of calling him out, I pretended to be his sister. That’s how the story of “Milo and Maddie Hooker” began.
We were the Hookers.
My depressing trip quickly made a U-turn into an adventure.
My fake brother spent the next few days showing me around his hometown. When it was time to leave, neither of us really wanted to go yet.
So, instead of flying back to our respective homes, we ventured on a road trip.
At every stop, we’d pick up souvenirs.
But as hot as our chemistry was, we never crossed the line.
Milo knew I’d just come out of a tough relationship and didn’t want to mess with a vulnerable woman.
So instead, at the end of our trip, we made a pact to meet again in three months.
It was always my intention to meet him.
But when I got back home, reality hit in a big way.
And I worried I may have lost my handsome stranger forever.
Was there a place for him in my future?
Or had the memory of him just become my favorite souvenir?

Hazel and Matteo’s story was fantastic, I love how all this planned trip turned out. It was way more than what I expected and I always expect so much from this amazing duo. This was a great adventure to travel, I laughed so much and made this book a great read after a few dark romances I read previously, so it was just perfect timing. The chemistry between the characters was sizzling hot, but the angst thrown in between the pages made this read perfect balanced. I will look forward to the audiobook to experience it all over again. Definitely a recommendation.
The slowest burn romance that just sizzles with sexual tension! This great guy is going to sweep you off your feet. It’s the perfect meet up, with an even better middle, some drama in between and the most romantic of endings! You’re going to love this couple.
Milo says all the right things. He’s sweet and thoughtful. He knows just when to get dirty and possessive. He’s sexy and irresistibly hot! Get ready to swoon ladies, because Milo is the perfect any night date!
Maddie is a woman searching for who she used to be. She craved stability and ended up with a man who gave her that. When he broke off their engagement, she was shattered. But time heals and it was just what she needed to realize the life she had, was not the life she wanted.
Taking that honeymoon trip alone is going to change the course of her life irrevocably. A solo journey turns into an unexpected road trip adventure with a stranger. Maddie will get more than just self discovery! She was on a trip to find herself and figure out what she wants from life, after her future abruptly changed and left her questioning her own happiness. Milo was working through his past and taking a break from everyday life. Together they would find the right person at the wrong time.
Weeks spent together as strangers just living life and going where the day takes them. It’s carefree and fun. It’s everything they both needed. You can’t live in a fantasy forever. When life crashes in and bursts their happy little bubble. They’ll go their separate ways with promises to meet again once Maddie decides what she really wants.
The sexual tension is at an all time high in this one. Their chemistry is palpable. The emotional journey and evolution of their love story was worth the turmoil, even if at times you want to shake some sense into Maddie. Fate brought Milo and Maddie together because their love was written in the stars.
When you find someone that makes you happy, you want to hold onto them, but only if they want you to. The timing may not seem right, but there’s never a right time, so you need to make the timing right.
Two strangers.
A roadtrip of a lifetime.
One epic love story.

This is such a slow burn, funny and steamy romance! You’re going to love it!
I absolutely LOVE Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland they are both perfect romance story tellers and have NEVER failed to captivate me with their stories.
What I Love is the twists of fate interwoven in every book, between characters and situations.
My Favorite Souvenir is another fantastic book I Loved it to bits.
Hazel and Matteo meet but don’t use their real names, but the names Maddie and Milo…their first meeting isn’t a usual meeting but they seem to click and get on well,so much so that they decide on the spare of the moment to go on a road trip together.
From that moment on we see such a sweet, romantic, funny and sexy relationship form until they have to go home and reality hits in a BIG way.
There is so much more to this story and I just can’t say anything else otherwise I would spoil all the surprises and shocks.
This book is a wonderfully, perfect romance which I could not stop reading and it gave me all the feels.
I highly recommend this book and I think I declare myself officially addicted to Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland’s stories.
Superb.
5 Stars.
WardLand does it again. Yes, I just #shipped the authors but tell me they shouldn’t be #bookLifePartners and I will call you a liar. They always leave you with a smile, a swoon, and a (mildly…or a massively) jealous spirit. I mean hello ..who doesn’t want to be Maddie Hooker!?!
Wild and crazy would not even begin to describe these two and their meet cute. The subsequent pages are a shocking and highly entertaining trip into “did that just happen land” (seriously, craving pineapples- no, I just love fruit!). Mund the detour to “goosebump central”, fall in love with the “band”, and realize life is too short.
With a heat so intense, I can feel it here in NJ the Hookers are going to set it all ablaze!
A fun, sexy and sweet read that was a little emotional (not too much) with a romantic storyline (think of the movie An Affair to Remember – one of my favourites), with a little twist added into the mix. When Hazel and Mateo scam themselves a hotel room each during a snow storm, they form quite the friendship, so much so that they decide to continue their charade and become travel companions. They go on a road trip together touring the States and starting a truly magical friendship. As they become more and more drawn together, they make a pact to meet up in New Orleans when they’ve sorted out their personal issues. Little did they know that their paths would be crossing again, a lot sooner than they were expecting. An enjoyable audio that has the wonderful duo that is Sebastian York and Andi Arndt narrating sweet sexy Hazel and the truly sexy singer Mateo. A wonderful audio.
An original storyline with a few twists. The dialogue banter was hilarious and the characters were loveable.
When these two gals get together to write, they are explosive! I can’t get enough of their stories, this one is so beautiful you will probably do like I did and finish it in one day.
Hazel is on her way to Vail, Colorado for her solo honeymoon. After her fiancé canceled their wedding, Hazel decided to go by herself to get away from the craziness. Except it seems that bad luck followed her. Now she’s sitting on the lobby of a resort hoping some of the guests don’t show for their reservations, along with several dozen people. When she observes a gorgeous man at the front desk pretending to be one of those guests that hasn’t shown up for their room, Hazel hears that there are two rooms, so she goes right up to him and greets him as his sister. Not wanting to blow his cover, he goes right along with her. So now they are Milo and Maddie Hooker. What starts out as a depressing trip, has become an adventure with this gorgeous, funny man. He teaches her to ski, go snowmobiling and sing Karaoke. On the day they are both scheduled to fly home, Milo suggests they continue on their adventure and drive cross country. On every stop they make, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia, they collect crazy souvenirs. On their stop to New Orleans, they make a pack, to return to the same hotel in 90 days, which just so happens to be Valentines Day, and see where this attraction takes them. One thing they never did, was crossed that line between friends and lovers. Milo knows how vulnerable Maddie was when they first started this adventure. When Maddie has to return back home to Connecticut unexpectedly, they kiss for the first time and it’s explosive.
Now back home, Hazel doesn’t even know Milo’s real name. All she has is their pack to meet on Valentine’s Day. This is where the story takes an unexpected turn, I didn’t see coming. I won’t say anymore since I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.
I finished this book at 230am today, when I woke up, I reread the last 40 pages because they were soooo good. Enjoy!
Hazel is dumped by her fiance just before wedding, but decides to go on honeymoon. Snowed in and desperate for a place to stay she pretends to be someone else with a complete stranger. Matteo is back home for a visit and ends up on an adventure with Hazel as Milo and Maddie Hooker. Hazel needs an adventure to stir her soul and Matteo needs to be brought back to life. They return to their lives with the promise to meet back in NOLA on Valentine’s Day. But, once they return back to their lives will their road trip be just a blip in their past? Circumstances bring them back together sooner in a way neither expected. Major chemistry, major swoon of a book boyfriend, laugh out loud adventure, and finding love again.
Matteo to Hazel:
“I always assumed having someone I loved die was the most devastating thing that could happen. But losing someone I love, who’s still alive, might be just as bad, if not worse.” It took me a few seconds to realize Matteo had just told me he loved me—hidden inside a painful statement.
Hazel fiancé now ex called off the wedding so she goes on her honeymoon to get away. She ends up at a hotel in a bad snowstorm waiting for a room. She sees a man listening to the workers and then goes outside and comes back saying he’s Milo. She’s standing behind him and says she’s I’m Maddie. This begins a friendship that turns into crazy chemistry and a wild ride. Too soon Maddie has to go back home and they set a date to meet in a few months. Will real life get in the way ? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Amazing Book
Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have once again delivered an unforgettable story that will hook you from the very start. I absolutely ADORED “the Hookers”! The story starts out with a clever meet-cute and develops into a whirlwind adventure you won’t see coming. With characters you will fall in love with, this one is a definite must-read!
It’s hard to write a review for this story without giving spoilers so I’ll keep it super general. My Favorite Souvenir is a super slow burn. The characters of Maddie/Hazel and Milo/Matteo are perfection. I fell hard for both of them. Their chemistry towards one another is magnetic. The book is broken into two parts and readers will be on the edge of their seats waiting to see what happens. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, Keeland and Ward send me in a tizzy as the story took a shocking turn. Don’t miss this phenomenal read! 5 stars
Great characters with a bit of adventure and a whole lot of funny romantic interaction. Highly recommend for a pick me up read.
My Favorite Souvenir is the latest collaboration by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. Reminiscent of their first co-authored novel, Cocky Bastard. If you’re looking for a great road trip romance, no one writes them like these two do.
In this book, we are introduced to Hazel and Matteo, who meet while in Vale, CO in a rather unconventional way. Posing as brother and sister, Milo and Maddie Hooker, in order to secure a reservation at a hotel with no vacancies during a snowstorm, these two embark on an unforgettable journey together. But what happens when the road trip is over and the two are forced to return to their normal everyday lives?
This book is a standalone told in the dual POV of the main characters. I found both main characters to be likeable and I couldn’t help but feel for them both. My Favorite Souvenir is a fun, swoon worthy, heart wrenching read with an incredible plot twist that will keep you turning the pages into the wee hours of the morning.
I listened to the audio version of this book, narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. These two narrators seem to be the go to narrators for both of these authors and for good reason. These narrators are always enjoyable to listen to and always seem to make the stories they narrate come to life.
If you’re looking for a fun, entertaining, swoon-worthy and yes even angsty romance then I highly recommend My Favorite Souvenir.

Such an adventure. Sweet and hilariously funny.
Loved Milo and Maddie and how they fell for each other so naturally. Neither gave their real names, so what happens when Mateo and Hazel meet each other in New York and they come face to face with the truth.
Their journey was tough at times, but I so love how their story ended.
Oh my- I love a road trip and when the two main characters are pretending to be someone else and take a side trip together. Loved it so much fun.
Two strangers.
A roadtrip of a lifetime.
One epic love story.
Hazel Appleton was suppose to go on her honeymoon to Vail, CO but when her fiance calls off the wedding, she decides to go on the non-refundable trip by herself anyways. After spending a few days there, Hazel decides to fly back home but instead gets snowed in. Trying to find a hotel, Hazel ends up at a hotel where she’s hoping and waiting for a room when she sees a guy, Matteo Duncan, acting suspicious. She quickly realizes that he is eavesdropping on the hotel staff’s conversations. When all of a sudden she realizes that this gorgeous man is pretending to be someone else in order to get a room, she jumps up and plays along pretending to be his sister since the reservation is for two. Thus starts the adventures of Milo and Maddie Hooker.
Hazel and Matteo both decide to not use their real names and just go by Milo and Maddie. Vail just happens to be the town that Milo grew up in so he spends the next few days while they are snowed in showing her around town and finding fun and interesting things to do. When there time is up, neither of them want to leave the other….the are having too much fun! Instead they decide to rent a car and spend the next few weeks driving across the US to get to the east coast where they both need to go.
As Maddie and Milo continue on their adventure, real feelings start to get in the way. Instead of acting on them, they decide to meet up in a three months and if the feelings are still there, then they will act on them. Of course real life gets in the way in a BIG shocking way and Hazel is going to have to dig deep down to see what she really wants for her happy ending.
I just freaking LOVED this story! I could not put it down and basically read it in 24 hours! I just adored Hazel and Matteo. They were both so fun and free spirited together. I loved every minute of their journey and I will never look at pineapples the same way again! 😉 I cannot say enough wonderful things about the book except read it….you will not regret it!
There’s something about the writing duo of Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland…. they can write some awesome characters, and always manage to throw in some surprises that I don’t expect. My Favorite Souvenir was just what I needed!
I absolutely loved the way that Matteo and Hazel meet- and how they assumed the roles of Milo and Maddie so well. I felt their emotions so easily, and the conflict that they both felt due to their circumstances.
I always enjoy this writing duo, and My Favorite Souvenir was one that I can’t wait to reread!
